First off, the person attending the shop took almost 6 months to complete a simple repair on the boots. This proprietor likes to chat it up with every customer that he can entangle into long useless conversation On one of the many times, I went into the shop, (that by the way is ridiculously FILTHY) to ask about my boots. He forced me to wait upwards of 15 minutes or until the client trapped in wasting time woke up and ran away. This occurred on several occasions and every time he had some empty excuse as to why the boots where not ready. For instance, he said the boots where not ready because the cold weather did not allow the glue to dry. The boots had already been in his shop January and February 2025 I am a patient person. I taught high school kiddos. I understand the power of patience, understanding and being polite. However, at this point I just wanted the job done so that I never ever have to return to that rachet establishment. Finally, the job is done, and my boots are awful. The hill is cracked terrible shoddy job. This exemplifies this person's ineptitude who basically does not give a filth about their job. He ruined a good pair of boots. This place has a GREAT selection of high quality shoe polish which is impossible to find any other place. We called before hand due to getting lost (our first week in Las Cruces), and they were closing when we called, they not only patiently gave us directions but stayed open until we came. Service like that is hard to come by. I know shoe polish isn't their main focus, but if you're in a law enforcement, military, or other organization that needs to show up with nice and polished boots, this is the place to go to get your polish.
