In terms of Memphis beer, this is one of my favorite breweries. I cannot think of a beer that I really disliked. The space is casual and relaxed, and on numerous instances, I have been able to work remotely from the brewery on slower afternoons. On nice days the outdoor space is great for kids (we have a toddler) to get out some their energy. read more

I came here on a whim with a group of friends and it was pleasant fun! We sat outside and enjoyed the live music, free bloom bar, and decent weather. We had a group of 8 and we had our food within 30 minutes! I loved that this place was fun for the whole family. I look forward to coming back. Stopped by on a Sat around noon with the family after a meeting at Concourse. It's a nice, open space with plenty of seating outside, too. There are some pinball machines, so bring your quarters! There was a good mix of single patrons and couples and families. You order at the bar and get your own drink/ food when it's ready. The bartender was super nice, helpful with suggestions. I had a delicious cider, husband enjoyed a couple of beers, and kids had root beer (made in house), which they liked a lot. The food was good, we didn't try a lot because we over ordered with two pretzels (they're huge). Three of us loved the beer cheese, but my pickier kid didn't like the grainy texture. As a non-beer drinker, I still enjoy coming here for the atmosphere and the events. However, I do wish there were more drink options available. They often have trivia or other social activities, and offer board games inside and a nice outdoor space with cornhole. You can get what's on tap or buy a 6-pack to take home, which my friends and family often do. They also recently started offering food! The giant pretzel is a good deal for a snack if you're spending some time sitting with friends. I recommend coming on a weekend when there is live music or other events! read more

I stopped by recently and was a fan of the new food menu! I didn't get to try it, but I appreciate their concept and will be back to try the sandwiches and tots. They have made several improvements inside and outside since my last visit. Service was solid. Their Honey Rye blonde ale was a pleasant brew to enjoy at the bar. You can help yourself out to fresh water, and relax outside too! I really need to get back to try their small food menu. You can't go wrong with their staple brews like the Traffic IPA. First brewery I've been to in town. The indoor space is a bit small but they do have space for live music or a DJ. Also the outdoor seating and parking area is huge so you shouldn't have a parking problem. They have a bunch of games and some popcorn and tortillas chips to snack on. They do not service food but you might get lucky and be there on one of the days they have a food truck outside. The service is good, they come pick up your empty glasses often and don't mind letting you taste a beer. Only bad thing is the women's bathroom...it smelled like pee the time I went but there was a big party with kids in attendance. read more

I've been wanting to try the new food at Crosstown since they announced it, so I went in very excited and hopeful. My boyfriend and I ordered a make-your-own pizza and added sausage, and then a pimento smash burger with fries. Ordering was very easy and the waiting time was pretty quick. And, of course, the staff was all incredibly nice and amazing as usual. But, once we started to dig into the food we were a little disappointed in the quality. The pizza seemed like something from the freezer section. And, the size was fine, not too large or small for the price. The fries also seemed like something from the freezer section vs fresh and homemade. I will say, the burger was the shining star of the meal and that was just okay. The pimento on top was really good and the burger had some good flavor, but unfortunately, it's not something I would rave about or tell a friend, Hey, let's go get burgers at Crosstown. The beer is great as always though. LOVED the new sour on tap - Desert Dawn! I will continue to love Crosstown and go back frequently but I don't think they've sold me on their food. We went for a very low-key date night. I don't go to breweries often but I do enjoy visiting this one with my hubby. I was a little nervous about sitting inside, even though all of the seating was spaced out. The majority of the patrons wore their masks any time they weren't actively eating and drinking. It was our luck that the couple we sat next to kept "forgetting" to wear their masks as they moved around the brewery. The staff was adamant about not serving anyone who was not wearing a mask. Their sampling was done with disposable cups and each person was responsible for disposing of their cup so that there was no passing of items back and forth. There was a BBQ food truck there that night. I was starving and business was slow because of the cold, so I got much more than I paid for. One of my new favorite breweries in Memphis. It's currently tied with Wise Acre. They got good beer esp their traffic IPA and Margarita Gose are by far my favorite two. Also it's a great atmosphere in an up and coming area that is the Concourse at Crosstowns. The people are friendly they always have a live band on Sunday and it's a nice low key place that doesn't get too packed (at least the dozen or so times I've been). If you're in town for a weekend or checking out all the breweries around the greater Memphis area this needs to be a stop in your list. I see a lot of potential one day of this being a premier brewery on the same tier at Wise Acre and Memphis Made. read more

Crosstown is a fine member of the growing beer culture in Memphis. They have a cool shop (behind the Crosstown building...all the way to the back of the lot) that includes a good tap room and lots of outdoor seating. Their label artwork is beautiful--honestly, worth noting. Staff was quite engaging. Live music was...a bit loud for a Sat early afternoon but not too abrasive. The beer list is large and while I didn't find anything that really plucked me, I was not disappointed with anything. Key: beer didn't flip my hat, but it was all good...the shop has good style, though, and I'd recommend a stop. Enjoy! read more

Very cool Memphis brewery. Visited for beer after dinner. They had at least six beers always available, and another six that varied seasonally. The best way to sample is ordering "flights" of any four. It's affordable, letting you decide what you might want more of. Before ordering anything, CTB let's you have free tastes of anything in stock. The staff is wonderful. Place clean and comfortable with free foosball and board games. We were there on a Friday night when a band was playing. We didn't take advantage of this, but you can order food from any restaurant in the Concourse and have it delivered to CTB. I really wanted this place to work out and I hope it does but I think they're in over their heads. Staff is nice but I can't stop thinking about the fact that I paid $7 for a full pour and got less than half. I looked at it, baffled, and the response was something along the lines of "its higher gravity so we only pour that much..." huh? I mean I know it's "higher gravity" which is why I bought it. It would be different if this was the first time this happened but our first venture here, it was the same case with another beer. Now don't get me wrong, their beer is good. But I could go to any of the other breweries in the area and get my monies worth... But, overall, it's worth the trip. Good beer. Cool building. Nice folks. Recipe for success. Went there for a reunion with friends I hadn't seen in years, so it was an exciting time, and we definitely drank our money's worth and stayed our welcome if we're being honest, but the employees were nothing but happy and helpful despite our obnoxiousness and the volume of our excitement. In terms of prices, you can't really get any better. A glass of beer, depending on the flavor, is as low as $3, and you can get a half glass for a dollar and some change. They also offer free little baby samples of the drinks so that you k so you're making the right choice. They have a wide range of beer choices. I was pleasantly surprised with my recent experiences there since I'm from Memphis and hadn't heard much about it before his winter. Would recommend! read more

I love their seasonal beers a lot. On most days they have a food truck with plenty of outdoor sitting space. I like something specific about each of the Memphis breweries, and all of them brew great beer, but the Crosstown taproom is probably my favorite to visit regularly. When the weather is nice, their patio is a fantastic spot to share a few pints with friends and family (it's a kid-friendly spot), and the indoor space is roomy, clean, and inviting. The brewery hosts live music on weekends, and a food truck is almost always on site (and food can be procured from several nearby restaurants). The beer itself is uniformly delicious. The flagship brews (Siren Blonde Ale and Traffic IPA) are crisp, polished examples of their respective styles and finish with a slightly dry snap that's especially welcome on muggy Memphis summer days; Crosstown also rotates several other beers, ranging from light session-type lagers and ales to robust higher-gravity offerings. Very subpar experience here. It's obvious that someone has a lot of money to throw around- fancy space, sleek marketing, giant kettles and fermentors, lots of merch, etc..... but less than stellar beer. Almost every pour is watery and leaves a lot to be desired. Speaking of pours, what's with the $7 pours that aren't full pours? This is absurd. I was told it's higher gravity beer. As a brewer myself I understand this, but pour a full glass regardless of that especially when you've priced an 8% double IPA at $7. I'd get it if we were in NYC or Chicago, but we aren't. We're in Memphis, TN and one of the perks of being here is the cheaper price of going out and getting a beer. If you're in the area and looking for better beer and a better overall experience I'd suggest you swing by Wiseacre. Avoid this place. read more

This brewery would be the cherry on top of living in the paradise that is crosstown concourse. I mean you'd never have to leave. You could work for ALSAC, get coffee in the morning at French truck, get your groceries in the building, and go out to CROSSTOWN BREWING! The space is huge and has a lil patio area too for chilling outside when the weather allows. I really enjoyed the brown ale, it really does have a "graham" cracker taste. There's cool non-alcoholic options too like nitro coffee on tap and root beer. Enjoyed splitting a flight here with my boyfriend!!
