Love my little corner bar ... Mikala is the friendliest waitress and does an amazing job ... this place never disappoints on burgers and cold beer

It's a candy store for beer lovers!

I've been here a number of times and it's a fun atmosphere to hang out in, drink some beers and eat pretty good food. Service was great - never wanted for anything. I had the Royale with Cheese (I had to do it), as I'm a Pulp Fiction fan. Burger was great and my friends had similar experiences with their food. Again, cool place with all the saucers on the walls and ceiling - I'll be back

Great service. Came to Memphis for a game and was visiting from Kentucky. Figured that there wouldn't be much options open at 10:30pm on a Monday night. So me and my friend came here. A lot of open seating and not super loud. Long open bar and booths as well as tables to sit. Also an enclosed area if you are anti-social like me lol. I ordered the whiskey burger with fries, and my buddy ordered the Doc Holiday burger with fries. All tasted great and was fairly priced for a restaurant in downtown Memphis. $12.50 as of January 2025. Waitress was nice and attentive. I would return again with my friends, oamily for sure.

We came here as an easy and casual restaurant for a large group of 40+ people to meet and dine. We swamped the waitress who appeared to be assigned to our party, there was a constant flow of orders, requests, and she'd deliver our food. I don't believe she ever stopped moving even after we stayed after our allotted time. She never broke her hospitable charm and willingness to serve our party. The atmosphere was very casual or relaxing while we were there. I walked passed the brewery later that day saw there was still was a flow of people with its ambience remaining carefree. I believe it was my wife and I came hungry plus the food was actually really good that we knew we needed to order more and left pleased. There was a wait to get our food and difficult to get order food; however, it was understandable with the size of our party and many of us getting, receiving, and ordering food. We ordered and split the following items, - DOC HOLIDAY (Bacon, beefsteak tomatoes, chopped lettuce, fried onion, jalapeños, cheddar, pickle chutney, bbq sauce) No bacon and swapped the beef patty for a veggie patty and a side of tater tot's with pesto-jalapeno mayo. My wife was concerned that this veggie patty was gonna be dry and crumbly like other veggie patties she's tried in the past. Instead, this was moist and held together like a real meat patty. I personally used all the barbecue sauce to dip and slather on my burger. It was delicious! - LAUREN'S GOAT CHEESE SALAD (Spring mix, cranberries, goat cheese, tomatoes, walnuts, red onion, balsamic vinaigrette) Who doesn't love goat cheese on a salad personally, it generally calls my name from the menu. I was not disappointed and neither was my wife as we devoured the salad. I did use the barbecue sauce instead of the balsamic vinaigrette and my wife to used the vinaigrette instead. Personal preference. - Extra order of tater tots The tater tots that came with our burger so good that we had to order an additional.

The best burger I have had in a while I go to Memphis at least twice a year for work this had become my go to for a beer and a burger. Good for large group. Friendly service and not an expensive one

The Flying Saucer is a great option if you're in the mood to drink! They have a very well thought out extensive beer list. Honestly, one cannot go wrong here. They have SOMETHING for you, I promise. If you're not sure, grab a flight of four beers to try out a few! The bartenders are extremely helpful and if you tell them about the drinks you typically order and even the food you like to eat, they'll find a genre for you to try out. Pairing food and beer is a thing and if you're down to try it out, come here!

I didn't order any food but the ambience is nice. It's a great bar to watch the game. and they have a large selection of beer on tap. The service was great our server Kevin helped us out. Ask for Kevin .

I don't like writing one star reviews but this place was awful. Let me set the screen a little for you because I would hate for someone to read this review and just think I'm a negative person that doesn't have respect to the small business owner and the hard working employees that depend on their paycheck. At the same time keep in mind I don't want another person to have the same bad experience that we had. So with that being said keep in mind that my wife and I were in a 10 day road trip and this was the only negative review I wrote. The service sucked!! After we sat down it took 10 minutes for the waitress to come over and bring us a menu. Then another 10 minutes to con back and take our order. Then 25 minutes she came back and asked us how our food was and we still hadn't received yet. Then 15 minutes later the food showed up and it was obvious that none of the meals was greasy and the other sat under a heat lamp for 15 minutes. The burger was so bad that the wet soggy but literally fell apart when I picked it up. My wife took one but if her meal and just put it back down, it was awful. Never did we get a refill on our drinks and no apology from the waitress or the manager. Again this was the only restaurant we had bad service and bad food and we ate out every single night all the way from Nashville to Los Angeles, actually we started in Atlanta. Nit a place we recommend!

We were searching for a brewery but stumbled (no pun intended) upon this "Draught Emporium" where you can earn your very own PLATE on the ceiling for trying over 200 of their beers. We each had a flight of 4 beers - we let our waitress pick them - they were all different and tasty in different ways. Then we also couldn't resist those pretzels - so we got one with the queso and onion/chive dip. The pretzel was warm and tasted pretty darn fresh. The beers were cold and also flavorful. One of my favorites was the "cherry pie" - it tasted like the cherry pie filling and crumbled part on top. They have more food and drinks here - but we focused only on beer and that one appetizer since we were heading for BBQ for dinner.

The food is always great. Coziest bar vibe, best comfort food, and I get a diet coke or sometimes a beer from their extremely long list to choose from--I think one beer one time was the glitter/shimmer kind.

Pretty spacious location, Tuesday is trivia night so it gets crowded and loud. Had the hummus and the French 75 cocktail which was super tasty.

Here tonight 11/12 from Chicago Black Widow: Original Sin. Very sour and fruit flavored. Love it!

Recommend the pimento cheese bread sticks for appetizer or any other time. Also, this was the first time I've had a Kilkenny draft which was another highlight. I see now it's rare to find. Smooth and creamy. If I lived nearby, I would be here more often. It's a little on the expensive side, but well worth the price and experience. Just pointing it out to expect to pay, but also pointing out it was worth every cent.

Unfortunately, the food has been consistently underwhelming during my recent visits. I first ordered the lamb chops. They were not what I would consider traditional lamb chops and were surprisingly chewy and difficult to enjoy. I returned and decided to try the Irish Curry Chicken. It was, without exaggeration, one of the worst dishes I've had there. The menu described it as chicken thigh, but it was clearly chicken breast. The dish lacked basic seasoning and flavor. There was very little salt, umami, or curry flavor. The rice was wet, overcooked, and mushy. Overall, the entire meal tasted like something taken from a grocery store freezer section and reheated. At this point, I would recommend sticking to the fries and the burgers, which remain the strongest items on the menu.

Here's a clean, strong review that keeps your energy: Hands down one of the best spots in town. The beer selection is top-tier--something for everyone, whether you're into classics or trying something new. The food is next level, especially the fries... easily top 3 I've ever had. Crispy, flavorful, and addictive. The atmosphere seals the deal: great music, high energy, and the fact that they're open until 3am is a game changer. Best part? The service is always on point. Unfortunately, we were met with one of the rudest bartenders I've ever encountered. As soon as we sat down at the bar, the bartender--a Caucasian woman with a short haircut whose name I unfortunately didn't get--greeted us with an attitude that immediately made us feel unwelcome. Instead of providing friendly service, she was dismissive, impatient, and rushed us through placing our to-go order. She informed us that we could not eat at the bar, which was completely fine. We agreed without any issue and ordered our food to go. However, when my food arrived, I simply opened the container to make sure my order was correct before leaving. She immediately rushed back over and aggressively said, "Didn't I tell you that you could not eat at the bar?" I hadn't taken a single bite--I was only checking my order. Rather than politely clarifying the policy, she continued to scold us and make us feel like we were inconveniencing her simply by being there. We still hadn't even received my friend's food, yet she seemed more interested in lecturing us than providing basic customer service. Once my friend's food finally arrived, we left as quickly as possible. As visitors in town celebrating Pride, we expected a welcoming atmosphere and basic courtesy. Instead, we experienced hostility, impatience, and a complete lack of professionalism. There's a huge difference between enforcing a policy and treating customers with disrespect, and this bartender clearly doesn't understand that distinction. The food may have been fine, but the service was so unpleasant that I would never return or recommend Bar Dogs to anyone looking for a friendly place to eat or have a drink. Customer service training is desperately needed.

I believe the place was empty when we took a seat at the bar but another party of 2 followed shortly behind and sat a little bit further down the bar. I tried something that sounded better than it tasted but ultimately this is a matter of personal preference and I have a high maintenance palate. The people next to us got wings, which looked good until they were dangerously close to a leak that had sprung from one of the exposed pipes above. They had to move to a table behind us and then some of the staff got a bucket to place on the bar to catch the dripping water but that made a very loud noise so then they put a towel inside of the bucket. I will admit that I have never experienced such a thing before. It looked like the pipe that was dripping had tape wrapped over that area so they had tried a "bandaid" fix in the past but it didn't work. Obviously, this does negatively impact the "ambiance" portion of the overall experience and getting the impression that this is an issue that could have been fully addressed previously but the decision was made not to. It wouldn't stop me from going back but it certainly isn't ideal.

There was music playing the whole time but not loud at all - loud enough you could hear it but it didn't impede upon your conversations in the slightest. And by the way the music they had playing last night (Tuesday Feb 10 2026) was EXCELLENT!! I felt like I was at a bar from my youth with that soundtrack. We started with 2 appetizers, pub pretzels and the Celtic queso dip. The pretzels came with honey mustard and some of the queso. The Celtic queso has tortillas and what appeared to be house made potato chips. Both were very good! The 2 adults had some beer on tap. A Yeungling and a 201 Hoplar. Kid (well he is 21 but doesn't drink) had a coke. Entrees were a smash burger with fries, a Buffalo chicken sliders with onion rings, and a shepherds pie with mashed potatoes and gravy and okra. Everything was very good! Often fried things are either over or under done and come out not great however whoever was working the fryer was on it because the onion didn't pull out of the rings when you bit it and the okra was still nice inside the breading. Excellent waitress who kept checking on us and nice environment. What's not to like!! Definitely will return.

But I was super impressed with the quality of the food! I expected a dive. And it is. But the food was fabulous!! Also, our waitress was excellent. Kudos to her. The inside is fun. Definite dive bar energy. We went all in. Appetizers, drinks, entrees. I regret nothing. We started with the queso appetizer and the pub pretzels. Both were very tasty. My one and only critique is that I wished the queso appetizer included some veggies like celery or carrots or something other than just chips. My son ordered the smash burger. Husband got the shepherds pie. I got the buffalo sliders. I like my buffalo chicken to be saucy. So I requested extra sauce. The kitchen seemed to misunderstand and instead of extra saucy, they put my sauce on the side and none on the chicken. Our waitress offered to send it back. That was not necessary. So she brought me lots of extra sauce. Incredible. The sauce was excellent. The chicken was excellent!!! Superb quality. Honestly, quite possibly the highest quality piece of chicken I've had on a chicken sandwich. Tender, moist, flavorful, and a large piece of meat. Very very impressed. I got the onion rings, at the suggestion of our waitress. They were fantastic. Washed it all down with a Yuengling. Truly, I can't say enough about this place. I was highly impressed. Most of the other customers appeared to be regulars who were seated at the bar. There were only a few groups seated at traditional tables. It was a Tuesday evening so I'm sure it's much busier on a Friday or Saturday. Oh - and just as we were leaving, they were setting up for karaoke. Apparently Tuesdays are karaoke night. Oh! And! The check was $77. That's with three beers, a Coke, two appetizers, three entrees! Not bad. Not bad at all!!
