I'm just now getting around to finishing a review for this spot! Although not local and from Texas, it's still an anchor to the area with hundreds of options for drinks and decent food. Service is solid. It's on a different level with the atmosphere and plates posted up high. Burgers and fries are excellent. It's worth a visit for the popular brews from around the country. Dogfish Head, Sierra Nevada, and the local greats. Certain items go on rotation for sometime and then leave to return later like the chicken and chips. Those are pretty good. We came here as an easy and casual restaurant for a large group of 40+ people to meet and dine. We swamped the waitress who appeared to be assigned to our party, there was a constant flow of orders, requests, and she'd deliver our food. I don't believe she ever stopped moving even after we stayed after our allotted time. She never broke her hospitable charm and willingness to serve our party. We ordered and split the following items, - DOC HOLIDAY (Bacon, beefsteak tomatoes, chopped lettuce, fried onion, jalapeños, cheddar, pickle chutney, bbq sauce) No bacon and swapped the beef patty for a veggie patty and a side of tater tot's with pesto-jalapeno mayo. My wife was concerned that this veggie patty was gonna be dry and crumbly like other veggie patties she's tried in the past. Instead, this was moist and held together like a real meat patty. I personally used all the barbecue sauce to dip and slather on my burger. It was delicious! - LAUREN'S GOAT CHEESE SALAD (Spring mix, cranberries, goat cheese, tomatoes, walnuts, red onion, balsamic vinaigrette) Who doesn't love goat cheese on a salad personally, it generally calls my name from the menu. I don't like writing one star reviews but this place was awful. Let me set the screen a little for you because I would hate for someone to read this review and just think I'm a negative person that doesn't have respect to the small business owner and the hard working employees that depend on their paycheck. At the same time keep in mind I don't want another person to have the same bad experience that we had. So with that being said keep in mind that my wife and I were in a 10 day road trip and this was the only negative review I wrote. The service sucked!! After we sat down it took 10 minutes for the waitress to come over and bring us a menu. Then another 10 minutes to con back and take our order. Then 25 minutes she came back and asked us how our food was and we still hadn't received yet. Then 15 minutes later the food showed up and it was obvious that none of the meals was greasy and the other sat under a heat lamp for 15 minutes. The burger was so bad that the wet soggy but literally fell apart when I picked it up. My wife took one but if her meal and just put it back down, it was awful. Never did we get a refill on our drinks and no apology from the waitress or the manager. Again this was the only restaurant we had bad service and bad food and we ate out every single night all the way from Nashville to Los Angeles, actually we started in Atlanta. We were searching for a brewery but stumbled (no pun intended) upon this "Draught Emporium" where you can earn your very own PLATE on the ceiling for trying over 200 of their beers. We each had a flight of 4 beers - we let our waitress pick them - they were all different and tasty in different ways. Then we also couldn't resist those pretzels - so we got one with the queso and onion/chive dip. The pretzel was warm and tasted pretty darn fresh. The beers were cold and also flavorful. One of my favorites was the "cherry pie" - it tasted like the cherry pie filling and crumbled part on top. I honestly have no idea why I continue to patronize this place or why I'm continually surprised at how poor the service is. What's the issue with these folks? You come in, rarely get greeted, sit for a while just staring at employees who all seem too preoccupied to do their job, and then eventually receive subpar service where you feel like you're inconveniencing them the entire time. I went here three times on our trip to Memphis, from Michigan. We really liked the staff, beer selection, hot soft pretzels, and the overall atmosphere. There's a nice, large section of open air seating (covered and sort of inside but access to large windows and doors for fresh air; and also a long bar and plenty of indoor seating. The origin of the flying saucer theme is interesting as well. We played trivia on our second visit and came in third place and won a $15 gift card! I've seen this place a couple of times while hanging out in Memphis and the people who sit by the open windows always look like they're having a great time so I thought I'd give it a shot and bring some friends with me. We walked in at noon on a Saturday, and the seats were first come first serve, so naturally we ended up getting seats by the windows. There was also a stage for live music and just a couple minutes after we had arrived a musician showed up and sang while playing his guitar the rest of the time we were there. The food here was okay, and service was quite slow. I enjoyed listening to the live music and watching dogs walk their owners, and seeing the horse carriage pass by every 10min. I think the best part about coming here was seeing the ladies on the "Sprock n' Roll Party Bike" hype everyone up as they rode by. They were truly the life of the party! :) read more

My husband and I chose this restaurant because it was the highest rated restaurant within walking distance from the hotel we were staying at. The food was exceptional and the service was amazing especially for a sports bar type of setting. I had the Whiskey Burger which has blackberry compote and whole grain mustard on the burger and the combination of the sweet and tangy was out of this world. When I say that this was the best burger I have ever had in my life; I am not exaggerating. My husband had the Telluride which has goat cheese and green chiles, he was blown away by the taste of his burger. All in all this place was hands down amazing. This place was such a fun atmosphere! We went to watch the grizzlies game and were not disappointed. They have a restaurant area where windows are down almost patio style. You can walk inside to another bar area that was seat yourself (it was a Monday night). They have a beer club where you can win prizes for trying a certain amount of beers. We tried the Buffalo wings & the pretzels. The wings were average but the pretzels were fantastic, I enjoyed them most with the spicy mustard dipping sauce. We will definitely be coming back!
