Jeff Tucker is retired and sold the company to, Matthew Solum. As of this review all positive reviews of this company are from Jeff Tucker, who currently has nothing to do with the business After about a month of unfulfilled promises, numerous missed deadlines, concerns about safety/quality of the report, corrupt self referring (quality foundation and tucker self refer each other), and interacting with hostile staff, I asked for a refund. Ultimately, I cannot give a stern enough warning: STAY AWAY from this company. Here are the full details, if you care to read. It took about 10 days for Matthew Solum to come to our home. He is a young engineer who claimed to purchase the company from Jeff Tucker. My interaction with him was friendly for the most part, but there were warning signs I overlooked at the time. For example, he seemed confused about simple aspects of foundation repair/shifting, overly confident (said he worked "thousands of homes in the neighborhood" but has 0 reviews at this time somehow), and mishandled his own equipment. Nonetheless, he promised me a report in 1-2 days which didn't arrive for 8 days. Afterwards I submitted his report to multiple foundation repair companies whom all refused to do what he had asked d/t concerns of safety of his plan. So I called Tucker engineering again, and again, and again (4 times) over about 4 days until I finally got ahold of Matthew (surprisingly difficult to get ahold of now that he has my money of course) and explained to him the problem. He seemed a bit aloof about how the repair would be done and the concerns the repair companies had. Nonetheless, I asked him to speak with them and prepare a revised report. He said he could have it done 3 days. After 4 days I still hadn't gotten the report. I called back asking about the report and was informed that Matthew hasn't even started it. Alarmed, I stressed the time sensitive nature of this report and asked what I should do in the meantime. The phone associate transferred me to his "business manager". Right from the get go, this lady was rude and irritated at me. I tried to explain I just wanted an updated ETA for planning, but she was so hostile that in the end I just asked for a refund. Probably for the better, since they clearly didn't know what they were doing. My recommendation is to AVOID Tucker Engineering at all costs.

I cannot recommend this company enough. All the stars for them!…read more My husband and I are in the process of remodeling our home, and our architect requested several different site surveys. I received bids from a total of 3 companies. The bid from ATS was right in the middle. I decided to select them because I received excellent communication just during the bidding process. I worked with Miles the most and Paul would chime in as necessary. Miles was completely honest about their timeline (which was a little longer than I'd hoped) and kept me up to date about when his team would be out to do the work. He educated me on the process and allowed me to ask as many questions as I needed. Miles also made suggestions in order to prevent us from having unnecessary work done. The team that came out was quiet and courteous. I received my report quickly after the work was completed. When my architect asked us some follow up questions about the report, Miles and Paul researched the issue and answered the questions quickly and thoroughly. This house remodel process has been quite stressful, but working with ATS was a breeze.

We hired ATS to inspect a gas line for a pool project. Their inspector came out and approved the…read moregas line, despite it not meeting city regulations. After tracking down the inspector, he denied responsibility and demanded he talk to our contractor vs tell me if my pipe was safe. The conversation ended by him hanging up on me by my questioning if we had an issue with our line, yet him already approving it. I then went to report the incident to his manager, who confirmed the pipe should not have been approved, and he would get back to me with what I needed to do. I followed up with him three times, and he's ignored every message. We paid for an inspection from ATS to know if our gas line was installed safely to have a tech approve an unsafe pipe, deny it, communicate unprofessionally, his boss ghost us, and after 3 weeks, we still do not know if our gas line is safe. Flagging for the city that ATS has approved an unsafe line and will not communicate nor follow up after multiple attempts.
