This was my first time in this Crown Liquor. They have a large selection of wine, liquor and beer plus craft options. I'm not a wine connoisseur but they have a wide variety of different wines tempting me to almost buy a couple bottles. The store is well organized and the isles are clean of restocking boxes. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They were terrific helping me decide between a couple brands of liquor. I'd come back when in the area. Nice store! read more

One of my FAVORITE liquor stores!!! It's clean, good parking, and so pretty inside!!! Their selection is great, i always know I can pop in and find what I need. I did an online order for west fork whiskey and was very impressed with the store and how they handled it. I did call the store in advance to confirm that they had the whiskey I wanted and they instructed me to order online. The online order was very user friendly on the app and I received an email saying that my order was ready for pickup. I drove to the store and the clerk had my order waiting for me to pickup. Crown liquor has a very nice selection of wine, beer, and liquor on the app. The staff is very friendly and was very knowledgeable on the whiskey I had ordered from them. I would order online from them again or go to the actual store once it is safe to do so. They are a premium liquor store! read more

Date/Time: 08/28/24 Minus 5 stars actually. I stopped by this spot on the way home for a half pint of Svedka vodka. Why a half pint? Because I live with a recovering alcoholic spouse that is doing wonderful. Hence a minimal amount of vodka for myself to make two martinis. Went to the counter, the cashier;5'9" maybe, dark hair and beard, blue eyes. Manager probably that should be fired after this customer experience. Went to the counter, asked for the half pint, he either didn't hear me correctly or wasn't paying attention. He placed a pint of Svedka on the counter and began ringing it up. I noticed it was a pint and let him know again what I wanted. Seeming disturbed and agitated he grabbed the correct size and proceeded to ring me with a silent, judging attitude for some reason. Haven't been that disrespected by a cashier like this before. So; I called him out about his gross attitude. I call it like it is and this person needed to be called a derogatory name to get across the point. He proceeded to say 'Get out of my store!' It's not HIS store. He proceeded to ask me ' Have you been drinking?' I said absolutely not. I literally got off work from teaching. He also said 'Do you need this alcohol that bad?' Why in the world would I purchase a half pint and not a handle of vodka if needed it. Even threatened to call the police and have me trespassed! Yes we did get into a yelling match, fortunately no customers were there. I will continue to go there and be the normal friendly customer. All of this because he pulled the wrong size, I was cool, it happens. He acted unprofessional like I was the problem was appalling. I will be contacting the owner/upper management 08/29. I sincerely hope they review the CCTV footage. read more

Picked up an order here that my friend placed. Plenty of parking out front but it's easy to miss the turn to get to the lot of you don't know it that well. I was able to park directly in front, and my pick up order was there waiting for me. I showed my id and was ready to go. The employee asked if I needed any help getting the box to my car (my friend went a little crazy for my birthday), which I thought was a cool gesture. Seemed roomy inside and there were safety protocols in place. I'll definitely be back. read more

I've stopped in here a few times and it's always easy, peasy. The shop is clean, organized, and fully stocked. You can find just about anything here and get in and out quickly. The staff have always seemed nice enough and it's an easy spot. I've only been here a few times and both were super quick trips, but it'd definitely be a go-to! read more

We went to Crown Liquors for their Whisky tasting event. I am not a whisky drinker but my husband enjoyed his time. This Crown Liquors seemed fairly new in the inside. It is on the smaller side but has everything you will need. At the tasting events you have to rsvp and they will provide each person designated tasting raffle tickets. I like that they offer water and snacks for attendees. They had different stations throughout the store. We realized that they had bourbon included throughout the tasting stations. If you attend the event you can receive a discount on the Liquors featured at the tasting. Overall great event and the Crown Liquors is at a great location on the north side. read more

VerdicTL;DR: The cleanest and friendliest Crown Liquors I've visited, with the largest selection. A wine and spirits chain done right. Crown Liquors is a large local chain of wine and spirits stores. It has locations in sketchy neighborhoods and upscale plazas alike. This location is probably the highest-end of all of the Crown Liquors locations I've visited. The interesting thing is how this particular chain scales and changes depending on where you are: there's a location near downtown Indianapolis with a smaller selection, all of which is kept under lock. Compare it to this location, which has an expansive selection that rivals Vine & Table, and all of it is out in the open. Location and economy matters a lot. While I generally go to Vine & Table for this kind of shopping, there have been many times when Crown has things that others do not. The full selection of Four Roses barrel picks was there when I went recently, as was the excellent Henry McKenna 10-Year BiB. These are not things that have been readily available elsewhere. The staff has always been friendly and knowledgeable. I think they do have a limited sampling bar, and as I understand it they have tasting events from time to time too. This Crown location is everything about a wine and spirits chain done right, with all of the advantages thereof. I don't come in here expecting an experience, and I don't come in here expecting some kind of luxury concierge service. Just a great selection, knowledgeable staff, and courtesy. And on those notes, Crown more than delivers. read more

Super friendly and helpful staff along with a huge selection make this Crown a top choice. I was looking for something particular of a Friday and everyone was sold out. The associate knew what I wanted and went to the cooler and split his own purchase with me. If that isn't amazing then I don't know what is. I'm not s regular shopper at this location either. Mike Sprinkle is rocking the beer selection at this store!! It's just 4 roundabouts away from our house and has the biggest selection of craft beer in Carmel, west of 31. Wine and Table (formerly Kahn's) may have a bigger selection, but there's no wine snob BS when you walk in despite a nearly equal selection of wine. Can't find it? They'll order it. read more

Great general purpose liquor store in the North Meridian Street corridor. They have pretty much everything you could possibly want amongst beer, wine, and spirits, some of the latter of which are pretty exotic and that I hope to sample some day. Service here is always friendly, especially once you've established yourself as a regular. They recently relocated to another part of Carmel, but there's no mention anywhere on Crown Liquor's website of where the new location is. Hopefully I'll stumble on to it at some point, though. read more

Seriously - so nice! I haven't been here before but stopped in to pick up a gift for someone on my way home. I needed a bottle of Moscato. I hate Moscato, so I don't know anything about it. The guy working here walked me through the options very kindly and patiently. After I picked a selection, my very old debit card would not work. The same guy helped me count all my change to scrounge enough together to pay. The customer service here has just made me a long-term customer!! read more

The selection in this store is unlike anything in the area! Their craft beer section is incredibly diverse both on the shelf and in the cold section. The hard sections is just as large, with endless options. The staff seems incredibly helpful and knowledgeable which is harder and harder to find when it comes to craft beer. The location is pretty convenient as well. read more

The Crown Liquors in Carmel only sells the hard to find stuff to the owners friends according to the staff. It is stored behind the counter near the first cash register. Best liquor store I've ever visited for craft beer. The help you get from the staff is as funny as it is helpful.

I used to be a customer at the Payless off of Rangeline. And over the past 2 months, it was like they pushed me away and now I am a proud customer here (newly built on Main St.) The staff is VERY knowlegeable! The craft beer selection is becoming better than the selection at Payless and Vine and Table!! A big shout out to Tom, who has done a great job building the beer up!! read more
