I really enjoyed my experience here. I decided to come here with a friend to have a small late birthday celebration for her and her only requirement is she wanted somewhere with hookah so we ended up choosing this place. Everything was pretty on point in my opinion. The service was really good. I felt like our waiter was very attentive. He kept coming around periodically asking us if we needed anything and was super friendly and warm. I got one drink and really enjoyed it and the price was also very reasonable. I also got I believe Rasta pasta and that was really good too... almost too good. I got invited to a 25th birthday that was supposed to be at a nicer lounge, but a friend switched the plans last minute and, well... completely tanked her birthday. Poor thing. Came here while in the area looking for music and a good vibe. There were three of us and when we entered, we were seated immediately. However, there was confusion over who our waitress was so it took really long for us to get drinks. When we finally got drinks, we paid $20 for drinks served in plastic cups that weren't top shelf liquor. It wasnt a bad experience because everyone was nice but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back. So this is the first time I've been to this specific lounge. The other ones that I've been to have been a lot bigger and this was pretty small. But it wasn't super crowded so it was not that big of a video. You come in after you get paid it out my security and you walk in the door and you pretty much have the entire right wall full of seats for booths, and the entire left side is going to be the bar. The bar itself looks pretty sizable but if there was something on TV like a game, you're definitely not going to get a seat right away. There are some tables in the middle, but those seem to go first. It was only so crowded though, but people were in and out. The service was okay. The person who was taking care of the party kept getting the mixer orders wrong. But she eventually got it. It was loud and maybe she didn't understand so I don't hold that against her. The tables there are really small so it's hard to fit everybody's cup, the hookah, and the bottle bin for the bottle. But I guess that's just the cost of doing business. To be a smoke and hookah bar the ventilation wasn't really good this night. I wasn't sure what was going on but it did have a little bit of an odor so I knew that it wasn't properly Vince later I thought it was going on with the fan. Cru Hemp Lounge has three locations. Be sure that you know which location that you are going to so that you avoid going to the wrong location on your GPS. I showed up at the Ponce location first and ended up late to the reservation that my BFF made at this location. They require reservations in order to guarantee seating and they are in two hour windows only. Meaning that without paid bottle service, you will not be able to sit for more than the two hours. If you are late (like I was, due to going to the wrong location), then you still will be asked to get up at the end of the pre- scheduled two hours. You can park for free on the street, (see photo for the general area, it is a six minute walk to the lounge ) but be mindful of your surroundings. We saw shattered glass around the area in a few spots (near where we parked and closer to the lounge as well), which made me think that there may be break ins or something sometimes . My friends paid $25 and $30 to park in a lot with a guy name Henry watching over the cars. We chose the free option because we had parked there previously and had no issues when visiting other establishments (Escobar/ Fashion Show at a venue nearby). There was no cover for men or women to get in. The place had a nice aesthetic in the seated areas. You can def. get some good photos here. I liked the Cru Rita and recommend it if you decide to order a drink. I did not try the food because I felt that there was not adequate space or a comfortable way to eat it in the section that we were in. My friends ordered hookah and had issues with it not pulling right. Our waitress disappeared the last hour of our reservation, almost like she was avoiding us after my friend let her know about the hookah and the bar messing up her drink order for some sort of lemonade drink. I had to go over to our waitress after 15 minutes of waiting for her to come back. She was chilling in another section with a drink of her own, when I went over to place an order for a round of shots because she was not coming back to check on us. She did get my round of shots to us shortly after, so that was no issue. The music selection was okay, mostly current rap with a few throwbacks here and there of r&b/pop. Overall, the experience was okay. I will try it again and arrive on time to see if I like it better. The service can improve for sure. Our reservation ended as the music started to get better and more people began to arrive. read more

I went to Cru on Peter Street on a Friday night. We sat at the bar and Kayla S was our server. The service was fine and the food was good. I got a salmon philly which came with house chips. My issue was when the checks came. Kayla got the checks completely wrong. We corrected her about it twice and her response was very rude and nasty. She throw down the receipts and pens and told me "this is ridiculous". Twice she brought me a receipt with the wrong order then laughed when I said that's not what I ordered. She charged my friend twice for the wrong order. I would come back but she cannot be my server again and I hope the other servers actually provide good service to their customers. Umm yea.. we didn't make it past the host stand because they only provided tables for bottle service starting at $250. The gag is...we walked down to Cru and ran it up! Chill vibe! They do have a 2 hour seating limit which I've noticed a lot of places have now. However, if it's not busy they don't mind moving you to another table and starting a new tab. Great tequila selection!
