We really enjoyed ourselves.... started Next-door at the Beverly for happy hour food and cocktails, and then went next-door to Grant Park social....had my first Boulevardier, and my friend sampled a couple bourbons she hadn't tried. Small, cozy small with great artwork and friendly bartender.

This is a hidden gem!! Went late on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too crowded and our waiter was very knowledgeable about different bourbons. They have a pretty extensive selection and we were able to try out a few. Will definitely return. They also do tastings once a month.

Grant Park Social is my new favorite bar. It's sleek, laid back, and intimate. The bartenders are cool, very conversational and they know their bourbon. Our drinks of choice were the pumpkin spice old fashioned (which they just debuted last week along with a pumpkin spice espresso martini), Mexican Mule (if you've read enough of my reviews you know this one was mine), and a 2oz. pour of Woodford Reserve Batch Proof -- 2022 Limited Edition 118.4 proof). Per the bartender, they're the only bar in the Southeast with a barrel of the Woodford Reserve. They're partners with The Beverly next door, which comes in handy. If you're waiting for a table at the Beverly (which usually has a long wait during sporting events or on weekends when they have live music) you can pop in Grant Park Social to have a drink while you wait. If you're still drinking when your table is ready, they allow you to take it with you. We arrived around 6:30pm on a Friday. It was pretty empty at that point, but by the time we left there was a decent crowd, which doesn't take many because the place is small. There are about 12 seats at the bar, two high tables that seat four ppl each, and then one section that has two small couches. Four people could fit in that area comfortably. Overall: I'm glad I found this spot. It's definitely a place to go on a laid back night for a good drink and conversation, without all the extra.

Jackson our bartender was super welcoming and a great mixologist. Really nice laid back spot. They don't serve food but you can order from the sports bar next door and bring it over.

This has always been my go-to spot after a long week. The atmosphere and the bartenders are the best when making different cocktails. Grant Park Social has their own Double Oaked Woodford Reserve and for sale, so I had to pick one up

Visited this small quaint bar while waiting for a seat at The Beverly. They're actually owned by the same company. The bar is small and nicely decorated. You're able to grab a quick drink and actually hear conversation. It's a whiskey bar so if you're not into whiskey it might be hard to find something you like. Drinks are on the higher end but that's not unusual these days. Parking was full in the lot but a shared lot is available and a very short walk. The two bartenders were very kind and attentive. They were the best.

We stopped in on a whim after having dinner nearby. I wasn't sure what to expect, but my experience ended up being excellent. I stumbled upon their website on The Beverly's website one day and knew I had to check them out. It's very chic and reminiscent of a speakeasy. Their cocktail menu is creative and the bartenders were really cool and knowledgeable. They have a ton of bourbons and various other spirit offerings. There's no food made on the premises, but I saw a staff member from The Beverly bring a guest some food from their establishment. I never drink gin, but was intrigued by the ingredients listed for the purple princess and decided to order one. It was delicious! I'm looking forward to returning and trying out more spirits and cocktails.

Service is fantastic, drinks are really good and not too pricey. Nice little speakeasy vibe. 10/10 experience.

Went for a whiskey tasting and had a GREAT time!!!!!!!!! It was my first whiskey tasting, the history lesson of whiskey and the tasting itself was great. Although I'm one of those rare drinkers, I liked the instructions about how to be discerning about the different types of Old Forrester. I would definitely stop in for a dink if I'm in the area again, it's a cozy set up, GREAT staff and quality alcohol. If you're ever thinking about holding a tasting, this is a must visit!

I like anything that's close to a speakeasy or hidden bar so this was really up my alley. So it's in Summerhill. You can pretty much park wherever you can find parking. There may be street or there may be a lot but there's still plenty of parking because there's a bunch of stuff on this block. And you don't have to worry about paying so that's a plus. You'll find the building that's painted and then take that door and go downstairs into the basement. Considering how light and bright the neighborhood is, the actual basement itself is pretty dark and kind of intimate. It's very dimly lit with candles but it gives it some character. I'd already eaten and drunk so I just stopped in for one more drink before I left the side of town. I only really had one drink but it was a pretty good drink. The bartender was the only reason I didn't give it a five-star rating. I thought that the vibe was good and the cocktail was good and the general aesthetic was very pleasing but she didn't actually act like she wanted to serve anybody at the bar. I'm a bartender so I know that service definitely matters. The patrons can pick up on when you're not energetic or at least trying to be energetic with them and I definitely pick that vibe up. We asked what the favorite drink of hers was and she said whatever the easiest drink was. Also asked what were the favorite drinks of the general population. She said all of them. She didn't give any thought to answering the question, didn't even try to lie about it. LOL. I have the M&M Manhattan and it was good. It's a smoky style drink so if you're not into mezcal smoke, you may not like it but I thought it was very savory and not too sweet whatsoever. Overall I would definitely go back. Outside of what I was picking up from the bartender, it's a really good vibe and you can probably walk from multiple places on this block and then end up here as a last cocktail before the night's over.

This place kind of gives a slight speakeasy vibe since the sign isn't visible (if it weren't for the corded of line and bouncer outside, you might miss it), and the inside of it was absolutely breathtaking with its art deco-like interior--I mean they honestly know how to make a first great impression. The only item I ordered when I was there was a classic margarita (although they had other enticing drink options), which was great and had a slight heavy pour (which I prefer)! Hot tip: check out their instagram stories if you want to see who's DJing that night, so you can see if it's your vibe. I, unfortunately, forgot to do that that night, but the music was great for the most part! The only issue is that the DJ would switch between a great fast-paced Afrobeats or Hip-Hop song and slow R&B jams, which kind of killed the vibe a bit for me, but I still had a time! Highly recommend checking this place and def look up the DJ to prep for your night out!

It felt like stepping into a club in the 70s with the velvets, rich colors and wallpaper but still had a modern feel. We had 8:30 reservations which is apparently early to get there. It was basically empty at that time but we didn't mind because it gave us time to sit and eat. The DJ arrived a little before 10 p.m. and the crowd started to come in. Before it got crowded, we ordered the tostones appetizer and the ropa vieja. The tostones were good and crispy and gave more of a plantain chip texture. It came with 3 sauces and I thought the green sauce was a garlic sauce but it was more herby with a little acid. Either way, we enjoyed it. The ropa vieja was delicious! The meat was tender and perfectly seasoned. Now, the rice was a coconut rice and it was a little sweeter than I prefer but the savory flavor of the beef helped. The service was good and at times too attentive. I know that sounds crazy to say because sometimes you go somewhere and have to search for your server but our server came to ask us how everything was every 5 minutes. It was hard to get into our conversation because he came over so much but I guess that's better than nothing. By the time we left a little after midnight, the place was crowded. The crowd was mixed in every way but seemed to be more young people. The DJ was really good and played a lot of mixes (i.e. an amapiano version of "I want to dance with somebody". Good vibes.

We appreciated that it came out as it was ready and wasn't left sitting. And everyone enjoyed the food! The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. All in all, I'd say we'll likely be back to try something else on the menu.
