We had the last check in time, so I wasn't planning on leaving home until 2:30, but seeing the notice that GPnC closes at 2pm--something told me to call the company and make sure they had extended their operating hours due to Carnival's delay. It was a few minutes before 2 pm when I called to confirm when GPnC closed. They acknowledged that they were aware of the delay from Carnival, but did not change their time. I was floored. I made mention that I understood but they did not send out a notice to shared to customers such as myself that their hours were not changing; However, if we had came before they closed, I proclaimed, we would have been hanging out in our car for an hour and a half until check in, which isn't fair or suitable.I was asked for my order number and after confirming my purchase, I was told to anticpate a call back to see what could be worked out. As I'm flying down the beltway, I notice my text message stating that someone will stay to let me on the lot until 3:10. I jetted down 45 and got to the lot by 3:04. When I arrived, Amanda greeted me and the rest of the crew were so kind- in fact, when I mentioned I had luggage and they saw my Mom, they suggested I take them both to the port check in and come back and park. Given the situation, I just knew Id be pushing my luck if I had did drop offs first, but the empathy was really present in that moment when they told me to drop off my Mom and come back. They did not have an attitude or rush me, which I greatly appreciated. Coming back, I was greeted with the same high spirits and respect. Galveston Park n Cruise is #1 in my book. Coming back was different, we had to walk about 10 minutes. Still no shuttles needed and we were able maneuver through the terminal for our cruise. We cruised on the carnival dream and waiting in the terminal was fine, the restrooms are plentiful but built awkwardly. There was a line so you had to cut through the line to dry your hands. They also have an option of indoor and outdoor parking. We typically choose indoor. No issues. Pull in, show the prepaid reservation (highly recommended to book in advance) and they give you a ticket for your dash and a ticket for your shuttle/return shuttle. Park and take yourselves and luggage to the shuttle area, via steps or ramp. The shuttle loads up and takes you right to the terminal. When you return, you exit the terminal and look for your shuttle. They load and back to the car. Seamless!!

I looked online and there appears to be a bunch of indoor and outdoor parking lots in the area. I decided to choose Terminal 16 garage because it was the closest covered lot to my ship (Norwegian). It certainly was the closest. I parked, exited the garage and walked straight into the line to enter the cruise terminal (it does not get any more ideal than that). Tip: pay for parking in advance because there is usually a discount code online (check their Facebook account for their most current discount code). The car was safe and sound while I was on vacation. Getting out of the garage was a breeze.

We have no problems following rules and we remained respectful no matter how rude and snarky she was. One day my daughter mistakenly called 911 on my phone and I called back and said hey I apologize my daughter was messing around on the phone. But officers showed up just to check and when I opened the door to apologize and explain, she was right outside with her hand on her hips like she was waiting for something crazy to pop off. She then emailed me and said if cops were called again, that she would be kicking us out. Couple days later, My husband had a bad accident on an e-bike, and was bleeding from his face and all over his body. while walking back to the rv he was telling me what happened on the phone before he came in. She saw him outside in this condition and insisted of having any compassion or concern, proceeded to email me AGAIN telling me that he was cursing and shouting about how he got hit by a car and needs to watch his mouth! about 3 weeks in she told me that the owners did not want to continue renting the rv. That I needed to find a place to live within the next week or 2. Mind you, me and this lady talked for weeks before I moved in. She knew my situation, we have 3 babies, had an accident causing us to lose our vehicle, jobs and our house. We were living in hotels before I found this rv park. She had so much compassion and was super friendly over the phone before seeing us in person. She told me that we could rent an rv for a few months and even promised me that an even bigger rv was coming and we could move into it when it comes so we could be more comfortable. What a joke! Thank God we found a house and got our jobs back that same week!!! I've seen the other poor reviews, how quick she responds. Me knowing how rude and prejudiced she is, I can almost hear the sarcasm in her responses. Sadly she seemed very sweet and maybe she would've been if we didn't look "out of place" maybe? I'm not oblivious. I know I have tattoos from my face to my feet. And my husband is African American with dreads. We might've not fit in. But we stayed to ourselves and we did not bother anyone. Someone there told me that she's notorious for her emails and they believe that she is racist because they overheard her at the hot tub making racist jokes with her friends. But I won't expose their identity as they are still currently a resident. Also just to add, the men staff were not rude at all. They almost seemed apologetic for her ugly nasty behavior.
