Easy parking before our week on the Regal Princess. We have parked here a few times in the past. They offer a military discount which helps. They also have an option of indoor and outdoor parking. We typically choose indoor. No issues. Pull in, show the prepaid reservation (highly recommended to book in advance) and they give you a ticket for your dash and a ticket for your shuttle/return shuttle. Park and take yourselves and luggage to the shuttle area, via steps or ramp. The shuttle loads up and takes you right to the terminal. When you return, you exit the terminal and look for your shuttle. They load and back to the car. Seamless!! read more

We booked the discounted lot that was outdoors with no shuttle. I am going to stay by saying that this was a fantastic price under $60 for a 7 day cruise but know what to expect. This lot is not close to the port about a 12 minute drive and we did not choose a shuttle service. We were cruising with friends who drove from another city but had already paid for close parking so it made sense to go this route. This lot is not at the main address and it close to the exit of the island which was super convenient for leaving the lot and heading home. This seems like a lot used for a business but the staff was very friendly, they checked in with me the day of with great instructions, and the lot was gated and secured which made me feel good about leaving my car there. Overall I got more then I expected and would use them again if I didn't have a bed to be super close. read more

This was a great experience, and I will never use "outdoor parking" again in Galveston. We parked in the lot off 18th street, and it was amazingly convenient, and secure. The busses run often and on time. It is a first class operation. More than anything, it was so nice to come back to a vehicle that was parked in a climate controlled building, and NOT outside, baking in the Texas sun. Upon arrival in Galveston , our 8 month old reservation was not valid at location stated on emails. Had to go 2.5 miles to park at second location. THEN on return had to wait ONE HOUR AND 15 minutes on a shuttle to be taken to our car. New management policies and practices SUCKS! We'll pass the word. read more

To begin with, the pricing to park here is INSANE! For a 7 night stay for MSC the rate is almost $225. It's this type of gouging that makes people not to want to come to Galveston. Usually we have a friend drop us off to avoid the ridiculous parking price ripoff. I was warned by our travel agent NOT to cruise out of Galveston, and this is only one of the reasons he had ... we should have listened. You may be waiting for an hour or more due to the traffic for the coaches which do NOT come as regularly as they say. The coach drivers kept telling us the buses were full and to wait for the next one. The unfriendly (to put it mildly) drivers actually would drive off not completely full and ignore our requests to get on and get belligerent after we pointed it out. I could write an entire review on just the drivers and their attitudes. It took 90+ minutes to get to the lot and still had to haul our bags to the car. On one occasion the drivers were so scarce and the traffic so bad, that I actually had to WALK to the lot to get the car and then go pickup my family. The parking lot is a MESS of confused directions/orders by their people, miniscule parking places and no internal markers as to where your car actually is ... this is important as the drivers don't drive you to/from your car most of the time and occasionally they simply can't due to the parking lot being so packed that the shuttle can't get down the lanes. Also, you'll probably be hauling all your bags between cars over the rough/broken paving lot for the distant area where the shuttles are. This isn't a lot of fun in 95 degree summer heat or rain. If you don't have a Tesla or pin it some map app, the sea of cars can make it really hard to find. The parking places are so small that some of the pickups we saw couldn't back up and were trapped in their parking places and NO ONE who works there would help. Some cars are so tightly packed in that the drivers can't open the doors to get in. If you don't like your doors being dented, don't come here. If this happens to you, you'll have to wait and hope the owners will come soon to let you out. The rate used to be $75 to $90 a week to park there and it was a FAR better place to park pre-covid, but afterwards they know they can screw over the tourists as there's almost nowhere to park for a fair price any longer. Avoid this place like the plague, and if possible get a friend to drop/pickup instead of being mistreated and cheated. I wonder if the positive reviews are AI or just faked as our parking experiences for Princess and RCCL were truly awful ... now that the new MSC terminal is open, I can guarantee it's only going to be worse ... read more

Running two shuttles for the south lot, leave one line standing for an hour and taking people from the back of the line and putting them on another shuttle first. This is the second time we used Port Parking. The first time we had no issues and everything was great. This time we used them for a 10 day sailing and parked indoors as we had in the past. No issues getting to the ship or back from ship with the shuttle. The problem was when we got back a Rat decided to take up residence inside my truck while we were gone. I did notice some trash that had built up inside parking garage behind where we parked against the wall. The last time we parked out in middle of warehouse. I did not see any Rat baiters anywhere. I notified an attendant who told me to send an email to Manager@portparking.com in which I have yet to hear from. After spending 45 minutes cleaning the truck out (thank goodness we still had Clorox wipes in luggage) and trying to see if Rat was still in truck and how he got in, it was time to leave. Started truck and passenger restraint alarms were going off and air bag lights were illuminated on dash. Nothing that keep the truck from moving though. You might be wondering how, as was I, that a Rat could get inside a secured vehicle. After arriving back home the next day I investigated on how he got in. He got in through the fresh air intake below the grate in front of windshield and made his way to the A/C blower housing where he chewed through a part of the plastic damper and through the plastic grate to make his way inside. All this to say if you stay there take some Mouse and Rat Repellant like vamoose and put in your vehicle. Evidently they are not about customer service as I did not even get a response. read more

Arrival/Departure: Guidance to a parking spot, help with loading luggage on the bus for transportation to the port, guidance for bus pickup after returning from cruise, assistance with off loading luggage at the port, and providing directions on where to check-in at the terminal. Return/Departure: Assistance loading luggage on/off the bus, driver assurance traveling to the correct location for off loading passengers and luggage, help off loading luggage, and locating parked vehicle. Oh boy, where do I even start with this experience? I'm writing this review because I feel like people need to know what they might be walking into at Port Parking Lot 1 in Galveston. So here's the deal - my family and I (that's me, my husband, and our two daughters ages 9 and 10) were heading out on a cruise June 12th. We had our car parked at Port Parking with reservation and honestly, I was pretty excited about the whole trip. That excitement got crushed pretty quickly though. When we got there around 11:45 AM, it was raining - not just a little drizzle, but actual rain that was getting us all soaked. Now, my husband was loaded down with four bags plus a shoulder bag, so he literally couldn't help the rest of us. My two daughters were clearly struggling with their luggage - I mean, VISIBLY struggling, and I was having my own battle with my bags too. Enter Josh, the porter who I guess was supposed to help passengers get their bags to the shuttle. This guy walked right past my daughters not once, not twice, but THREE times to help other passengers who happened to be white and had way fewer bags than we did. The third time, he literally almost knocked me over rushing to help yet another white lady. It was like we were completely invisible to him. My youngest daughter, who's autistic, kept asking me "Why is he so mean to us, Mommy?" and honestly, I didn't know what to tell her. It broke my heart because she could clearly see what was happening, and kids notice everything, you know? Fast forward to June 16th when we're coming back from our cruise around 9:35 AM. Guess what? Same thing all over again. Josh is just sitting there in a chair with his coworker, watching our family of four struggle with nine bags, and he doesn't move a muscle. But the second a white person shows up needing help? Up he jumps. Now here's where the story gets better - Willie. This man saw what was happening and literally SPRINTED from the other side of the garage to help us. I had hurt my foot, and Willie insisted on taking my bags completely and walking them all the way to our car. He was friendly, respectful, and everything a customer service representative should be. He restored a little bit of my faith in humanity that day. The shuttle driver "Cowboy" was also absolutely amazing - kind, informative, and even let my girls stay on the shuttle because it was raining and he didn't want them getting too wet. But here's the thing - one good employee and one great shuttle driver don't make up for the blatant discrimination we experienced from Josh. This wasn't just poor customer service; this was targeted, obvious bias that my children witnessed and were hurt by. What we experienced was unacceptable and honestly, probably illegal. I will never use this parking service again, and I'll be telling everyone I know about this experience. Fix this problem, Port Parking, because this is 2025 and there's no excuse for this kind of treatment. PLUS we are great tippers - ask Cowboy Bob and Willie - we hooked them up! read more

We parked and our bags were immediately placed on a bus and we were dropped off at the port within feet of the entrance to drop our bags off which meant no need for porters. Knowing your car is parked inside is absolutely a plus as well. Highly recommended!! read more

We have used the Portparking.com facility twice for cruises departing from Galveston. Given the vagaries of Texas weather, a covered parking spot is important to us. This is a small business that values its customers and provides stellar customer service. My spouse accidently reserved the wrong dates for our most recent cruise. When she was double-checking our travel plans a few days before our cruise, she realized her mistake and called Port Parking. The woman who answered her call was sympathetic and changed our reservation dates with a cheerful "No problem!" There are commodious indoor spaces for full-size pickup trucks (mine is 20' long) and the width of those spaces allows easy door opening for loading and unloading. We have never had any security issues, but as with any public parking lot, do not leave our vehicle unlocked or with any valuables in plain sight. A tip to truck drivers - get to the Port Parking facility nice and early (in advance of your boarding time) for the easiest access to these sweet large parking spaces - it can get crowded in there if you wait until the last minute to arrive. Watch their video and be prepared for the experience - you will be glad you did. The shuttles to the (new) Royal Caribbean port terminal ran regularly, and made sure we knew where to go upon arrival and where to find the shuttle upon our return to port. The drivers and loading staff were very helpful and courteous. Worth EVERY penny for the convenience and peace of mind! read more

Parking was simple and easy along with our shuttle service to and from the ship. The driver, Randy, was very friendly and welcoming when we returned. We do prefer parking in the indoor building but it was full, so we used an exterior lot. Being that it's not hail storm season it was ok, but more covered parking would be ideal. We have used this company several times and have always given them 5 stars but our last cruise was different. When we got off the ship, there was a long line to the shuttle for Port Parking and we watched several other parking companies load and leave more than once before we got close to our shuttle. When we did get close, we found there were actually two lines, one for their outdoor lot (which I don't think they even had a few months ago) and another for our indoor lot. There was only one loading slot for their shuttles, so they alternated and every other shuttle was ours. We ended up waiting in line for 30 to 40 minutes because, even though there was a shuttle waiting as soon as one left, only every other one was ours. We love the parking warehouse, the drivers, everything else, but the confusion and wait for the return shuttle was really a downer. Not sure what they can do, but they need two loading slots for the shuttles going to two locations, and that doesn't appear possible, given the space available. Oh, and by the way, we were on the Jewel, which is very small compared to Harmony, so I can't imagine what it's like when Harmony disembarks. read more

OMG, the shuttle driver is playing hip-hop music. 93 B. I wish there was someone I could complain to. The shuttle service is quick and free, except for the tip. Why not use the service? Oh, because of the terrible music that so loud and annoying , I would have willingly got off and walked. That was in parking lot B, going to terminal 2. Much better experience coming back, nice lady, pleasant drive, no music at all. The port parking is not free for disabled veterans anymore, which is very disappointing. Peg and I had booked a cruise for mid-March, 2020. Guess what showed up at the same time? Right you are--COVID! I could have asked for a refund as the cruise line canceled the trip but being more than satisfied with our first experience--and knowing they would probably be closed for an extended time--I just decided to let them keep the money. Fast forward to December 12, 2021 and we find ourselves back at Port Parking to take our rebooked cruise. Since we were last here, there have been more negative reviews, mainly having to wait a long time in line to check in and surly employees. In my last review, I told you, Gentle Reader, that I saw none of that. And this time, I'll say it again. Our time in line was less than 15 minutes. Do we have a secret? Did we bribe the employees? No, we didn't bribe them but yes, we have a secret. A deep, dark secret known only to the initiated. Are you worthy to be enlightened? Well, of course you are--you're reading the drivel pouring forth from my fingers, aren't you? Anyone that can endure that is surely worthy! So lean close, my children, as I will but whisper (did you know that fingers can whisper?) so the profane may not partake of the arcane lore. Ready? We got there at 10:00am! Yep, that's all there is to it. I'll bet that if you asked any of the complainers, they came in the early- to mid-afternoon. Ain't rocket science, folks! As to those surly employees, again we saw none of that. From the kind young lady in the pay booth to the smiling young men directing us where to park to the baggage handler and driver--all were considerate and sincerely wanting to help us. And to those naysayers among you, here's an example of what I mean. After we disembarked, we found Rodney and the van waiting for us. When we arrived at the garage and made our way to the car, we found the battery dead. And I mean DEAD! Not even enough juice to open a door (luckily, I had an emergency nonelectronic key). I told one of the employees about my predicament and asked him if they had a charger. They did, tried it out but not enough juice to start the car (I told you it was DEAD, didn't I?) I asked him to direct the AAA service I was about to call to my car. Instead, he pulled his own car alongside of mine and gave me a jump start. He could have taken the easy way, just waited for AAA, but he chose to take action himself. Does that seem surly to you? Once again, Port Parking shines through. We parked here for our cruise on August 29th. Everyone was friendly and helpful getting us all to the port. We had an issue on our cruise and were delayed returning. Everyone was so helpful and made sure everything was taken care of until we were able to get back and pick up our car. They will be our go to place when we sail out of Galveston. read more

I understand that it is beyond their control when there is a ship delay but we cannot park until folks leave is ridiculous. I'm still waiting to park after 3 hrs of delay. Let's see how many folks need to leave before we park. Update. They will not park us until my ship unloads folks whom may have parked here. Never again. I plan to share this info with everyone. My sister has already gone to our ship. She parked the farthest to save money They took her suitcases to the terminal with no issues. I thought paying a higher price would make a difference. We used port parking for the first time a few weeks ago. Everything was good and wouldn't have any complaints. Would have given them 5 stars...except for their lack of communication. I left a bag on the shuttle and didn't realize it till half way home so there was no turning back. After checking the website, I called the number listed and was told I needed to email the manager with info relating to it. I sent the email on 4/10 and got the auto reply saying to allow 2-3 days. I allowed the allotted time and called back to ask what else could be done and if there was another number to call. The guy answering told me all he was told to do was tell us to email and suggested I emailed again. I emailed again on 4/13, and what a surprise still no reply other than the automated reply. Had to wait a while for our shuttle to and from the royal Caribbean terminal. Staff were very kind and helpful. And no mishaps.

A scam more or less. In line on the street an employee came to our car and asked if we had a reservation. We didn't and inquired as cost. He replied "not sure but about $80-90 - way cheaper than the $150 down closer to the pier!" After waiting in line and finally get inside, the cashier quoted $135 outdoor, $165 indoor. Which was twice what he said and more than the "expensive" parking by the pier. We get that we didn't have reservations and it'd be pricier. But we wouldn't have waited in that line and have parked closer for that cost. They need to make sure their staff understand their fees instead of gouging customers once they get inside. read more

Great parking for EV drivers. They have a wall of both Tesla chargers and J1772 chargers for other makes of electric cars. Nice indoor parking and secure facility. Saved a little money by parking and walking, it's cheaper without the shuttle. Dropped family off with the bags then parked and walked to the terminal. Keep in mind it was a 1 mile walk to Royal Caribbean from lot 3 so make sure you drop the family and bags off first. Anyone with issues walking a mile you can use the shuttle. read more

The booking process was easy and checking in went smoothly. However, the return process was slow. We stood in a VERY long line before shuttles came for pickup. Once the shuttle came, there was some passenger issue that every employee got on to deal with, leaving customers outside waiting for even longer. Once on, everyone was apologetic about the wait. However, that doesn't change that we are all thirsty, hot and frustrated. Improvement: Please add a cooler of bottled water for the guests awaiting shuttles. It would make a huge difference for all the passengers that have been standing in customs lines for over and hour, and then in your line for over 20 minutes in the sun. read more

Great choice for EVs. This is a nice spot for covered parking at a reasonable price. Staff seems genuinely nice which is great. Charge speed on the Tesla destination charger is only 25 mi/hr but that's more than enough considering you'll be gone for a few days. I only see 1 Tesla Destination Charger and 1 standard ChargePoint charger but they may have more. I assume it's first come first serve but didn't ask, just crossed our fingers and luckily both spots were free. Looking forward to being topped off when we get back and having a full "tank" ready for the drive home. Definitely would come back here again. It was one of the only places left with available reservations for indoor parking, a week before our planned vacation and it was an all around decent experience. While there were multiple places that still had open availability, the only option they had was outdoor parking. Luckily I found Port Parking. The facility is a little odd looking at first, even K thought it looked a bit shady but it was perfectly safe. The building looks like an abandoned warehouse. We pull in and we were quickly attended. Service was expedited since I had purchased my spot online, we were parked and out of our car within 15 minutes. There is a shuttle at this place that will take you and your luggage to the cruise ship port. Once we got back from our vacation, service was also speedy. We waited at the assigned pickup location and the shuttle took us back to our car. Prices are okay, of course it's a premium price for indoor parking. You're looking at $80 for 7 days.
