It is close to the boat, and there were very frequent shuttles to and from the ship. We did not have a problem or wait with getting a shuttle either way. I would definitely use their services again. I reserved the Lighthouse Park & Walk lot for a 7 night Princess Cruise. The cost was $125 plus $8 tax. It is close enough to walk to the ship. I dropped my wife and our bags off at the ship before I parked. When we returned I didn't have to worry about an Uber or Lyft reservation and the driver being a no-show like previously or paying $45 for a taxi. We walked part way back to the parking lot and there was a guy in a golf cart that gave us a ride to the lot. I gave him $10. So about 20 minutes after we walked off the ship we were in our car driving out of Galveston. Everything was good. read more

We parked in the uncovered parking lot on New Year's Eve for a four-day cruise. When we arrived at the lot, a young man was willing to assist us with loading our bags on the shuttle bus. The driver was friendly and shared tips to help when returning from our cruise. The driver was outside in eyesight view when we exited the cruise terminal. We were able to get on the bus as the driver loaded our luggage on the shuttle. The buses are clean and comfortable. The lot is patrolled and secured. I would highly recommend using Lighthouse Parking while you cruise. read more

We chose the economical uncovered parking for a 5 day cruise, and would do it again. The covered lot was a block closer and seemed to provide the same amount of security as the uncovered lot. Essentially no difference other than shade which our sun visors provided excellent heat protection in the middle of October. Upon getting back to our car, the temperature gage was reading around 80 degrees so even being uncovered it wasn't unbearable. The staff were extremely friendly and seemed to work at an efficient pace. The day we left for our cruise, we were able to get right on a shuttle and it was a short 10 minute ride to the port after arriving to the lot around 12:45pm, our cruise took off at 3:30pm. Upon arrival back, there was a line of fellow money grubbers waiting to get on a shuttle to go to their cruise at 10am. The only areas of improvement would be more shuttle buses in service and better paved parking lots. Upon arriving back from our cruise there was only two shuttles compared to other companies who had 3+ going at a time so our wait to board the shuttle and get back to the lot was 25-30 minutes. The staff was working extremely hard to be as efficient as possible. That was with late debarking off the ship. They first delivered the covered spots back and then the uncovered second class citizens next. Riding the shuttle on the way through their covered lot seemed rougher than the days at sea so repaving and leveling of the lots is needed. Also, for the first class citizens out there, I did not see nor inquire about electric vehicle charging stations. read more

Emailed asking about a refund and was initially told we would be refunded. Never was and the owner simply stopped responding to my emails. read more

The parking lot was easy to find and secure. Staff was very helpful. They dropped us off right at the ship after a very short wait. GALVESTON CRUISING FRIENDS PLEASE READ!! If you are needing a place to park your vehicle while you're cruising out of the port of Galveston, please consider Lighthouse cruise parking. Yesterday I got off the Carnival Breeze and when we got back to my car, I forgot my overnight bag on the shuttle. That is nobody's fault but mine. I didn't realize until we got to Melissa , Texas, which is almost to Oklahoma that I had forgotten my bag. I called Lighthouse Parking and I spoke with Henry who is the lot manager and he told me my bag was there and that if I would send him my information, he would take it to the shipping station today and have it shipped to me. I just added most of the products in that bag to my Amazon, ZO Skin Health shopping cart and Ulta shopping carts. Just in the items that I counted I had almost $1600 worth of things in that bag. That was the bag that I was going to pull out of my car last night to have ready for today because it had all of my things in it that I needed to get ready for work for bed, etc. Thank you, Henry and Lighthouse Parking you guys are awesome. Great location and price. Plus, they offer a shuttle to and from the cruise port. Before I booked my spot, I had did some online research on reviews and inquired with the facebook cruise group I was apart of on the best parking location. Lighthouse had consistently the best reviews. Other places were hit and miss. Additionally, those other parking locations were higher and farther away from the port, which means their shuttle pick up and drop offs will take more time. Plus, Lighthouse offers the cheapest and closest covered parking with the exception of the Port of Houston, which offers garage parking and is the closest parking area to the port since its across the street from it. Buying your spot is really easy online. They even offer promo codes each month to make it more affordable. Once purchased, you receive an email twice--one to confirm the purchase and another to confirm your parking on your day of embarkation. I just printed the confirmation page out, went to the lot, showed my confirmation of purchase, and was led to my area to park. I was also given a ticket to place on the dash once I left my vehicle. If you're concerned about your vehicle being too big for the spaces here, no worries! The parking spaces are nice and wide for bigger vehicles like the one I was driving on this day (a Cadillac Truck). I even backed into the space to make it easier as I always do to leave. Once parked or once your return from your cruise, you won't have to worry about waiting a long time for a shuttle either. The shuttle coming and going on the cruise did not take long at all. I dropped off passengers and bags before parking, so I didn't cause a delay with pickup and dropoff. Highly suggest you do the same. However, if you do have luggage to put on the shuttle after deembarkation, the uncovered lots will be dropped off first, so covered parking people need to put their luggage on the shuttle first. All in all, if you or someone you know cruise again, I highly suggest Lighthouse. read more

This company suffers from poor management. We returned from an RCL cruise on 8/27 and found total confusion at the shuttle pick up point. Whatever system was supposed to be used to control boarding degenerated into a nearly push and shove situation. Neither one of the yellow jacketed employees were willing to attempt to bring order to the crowd. Confusion was enhanced as the baggage handlers with carts full of luggage attempted to dump and run for their next tip paying customer. The drivers were simply interested in getting in and out. The presence of a skin in the game manager plus signage plus visible rope lines would have solved this mess. It seems strange that a business that has probably less than 20 hours of peak traffic per week cannot focus on getting the single function of moving people and baggage from one fixed point to another in an orderly fashion. The only good thing I can say is that the crowd did not get really physical despite the disorder while I was there. read more

We paid for two cars on 8/20-8/27 One was covered and the other was uncovered. Both cars dropped us off at the port and went back to park. That was fine. However, when we got OFF the ship on 8/27 the shot show started. My husband and son in law went to the line to get the cars we stayed behind with all of our luggage. There was zero organization and people cutting left and right. After waiting in the hot sun with no direction for over 45 minutes and people continuing to cut, my Husband and son in law walked to the Taxi stand and had to pay $30 for a taxi to take them about a mile and a quarter to get to the cars. This was a terribly run organization and I will never recommend y'all again. We were a group of 23 and had 6 cars parked at your lot. Never again. The owner needs to take a hard look and observe what is going on. Maybe even pay a worker to control the line and create organization I should have never had to pay for a taxi when i already gave you $235 for the cars! read more

I had no issues parking other than I hoped for covered parking. We parked 2 vehicles for 8 days. It was $30 for my half. Six of us split the cost. We had transportation to and from the cruise ship and our luggage was handled by the driver. It was a bit of a wait when we returned to Galveston from the cruise, but that is to be expected. There was some confusion where to meet since it was no marking for Lighthouse pickup. read more

We have used a lighthouse parking multiple times in the past with no problem. But today was a nightmare experience. we sailed 9/17 for a five day cruise on the Breeze. When my husband went to pick up our vehicle, the almost full tank of gas was empty. someone stole the fuel! They told my husband he left it running, with a chuckle. we know that is not the case. He was also told that their cameras don't work. Long story short, the thief's also damaged the fuel pump. we had to have it towed and are stuck in Galveston waiting for a new fuel pump. Lighthouse Parking did not care one bit. I was stranded at the terminal for over six hours while my husband had to deal with this problem. We took a cab to a hotel. The tow truck driver said he has been running gas to people all day who had vehicles in parking garages/lots. read more

Great transportation and service to and from the ship. When we got back to the lot, my nephews car window was covered with a tarp. The lot manager, Henry immediately met us at the car and said one of his workers hit the car window with a rock while weedeating and shattered the window. They had already cleaned up the broken glass and even bought a brand new car seat due to glass shattering on the original car seat. A glass company immediately came and installed a new window. They tell you they have a spot for $75, you pay and then they tell you the lot is full and you have to wait for a cruise ship to disembark and for people to leave their lot before you can park. "It'll just be about a half hour," and that turns into 2 hours. What a scam! Reply on 2/16: Thanks for the note, I have a better understanding of the situation, and appreciate you clarifying. Although it was 10 am and the boat didn't leave until 4 pm, we were attending a wedding at 10 am, thus the reason for the panic. The wedding was delayed so we made it ok. As a result of your reply, I will raise my rating. One suggestion, if your lot is full, the attendant shouldn't say: I can show you a covered spot for $X." Everyone recommended this place on various Facebook cruise groups. We had previously parked here in 2011 for our honeymoon and had no issues. However, this time in 2022, it was a different story. Apparently they have very limited shuttles. When we were boarding, it took us about 45 minutes from pulling into the parking lot to actually unloading at the terminal. The driver had his lunch break scheduled during our drop off and decided to take it with us waiting in the bus. When we came back off our cruise, there was about one shuttle working two cruise ships. (They blamed the delay on our ship, the Vista, being late). However, that should not effect us. They knew two ships were coming in today, they should have been better prepared. After watching a shuttle leave and then one roll by without stopping, we decided to just walk back. I'll never use this parking lot again. read more

The staff was so nice and accommodating! Our cruise was delayed for over 7 hours but the lot stayed open and the staff made sure cruisers coming back to Galveston (1 day late) and those of us waiting to board were taken care of. Other lots in the area closed at 5:00 p.m. even though there was a delay. When we arrived back in Galveston, the shuttle was there waiting and the driver gave us tips on what road to take to avoid construction. Very helpful! We pre-paid for cruise parking got a May 2020 cruise. Due to the COVID, it was cancelled. After emailing this place twice and I attempted to call them, no refund. They claim on the website & in their voicemail that they are working on refunds, but I've not gotten any response at all from Lighthouse parking. So I've filed a dispute with my credit card company & they have to the end of June to answer. It's a shame because I rebooked the cruise for 2021, so I guess someone else will get my business instead of Lighthouse. read more

This has been the parking lot our group has used for years while we're cruising. Through those years we never really had any issues, with the exception of seeming to have to wait a bit long for the shuttles to take us to the cruise terminal. This year was a far different story. Due to fog delays our ship did not arrive on time, which meant we would have to wait for the lot to empty a bit before we could park; a bit of a wait was to be expected and was anticipated by all 5 cars we made reservations for. However, we did not anticipate waiting for 2 hours in a line that barely moved, employees that were extremely rude and unprofessional, all while overhearing said employees make mention that the lot had been overbooked so our reservations really didn't mean much. After finally being let into the parking lot, it was very apparent that there was enough room for our vehicles, as well as several others; this had been the case for some time as our groups' cars were near the entrance/exits and had not seen many cars leaving the lot. As I said, we expected a delay, but we didn't expect a 2 hour wait that had us boarding our ship at the very last minute, we didn't expect to be spoken to in such a rude manner by one employee specifically, but we did expect someone to at least apologize for the wait and acknowledge that there was some possible miscommunication that led to the disorganization. After this experience I doubt our group will be returning to Lighthouse. read more

This was a disaster from the start of our cruise and what should have stood as an indicator of what awaited us for the return experience. We arrived on time and were picked up by the bus driver promptly; that's where it fell apart. We were then parked in the sun only for what 35min with no bus driver as he left without explanation. After needless waiting, he returned only to bring us across the street to grab a few late arrivals. Eventually, we arrived at our cruise terminal, expecting that this was indeed only a one-time occurrence. Sadly, our return experience led to this review. We waited over an hour at our designated bus pick up only to witness countless busses come and go, none of which were lighthouse parking. I've used Light House for all over cruises from Galveston... reserved parking for March 14, 2020 for Spring Break. Our cruise was the first one cancelled due to COVID-19, emailed asking for a refund. Email response was they were working on it but it would be a check mailed to me since I had reserved so far in advance they couldn't refund to my credit card. Here we are a year later and still NO REFUND. I will be finding a new cruise parking company. From reviews, it looks like they are doing this to alot of other customers...what a shame, bad business practice. read more

Post cruise I waited over an hour for a shuttle to take me back to the lot. The drivers were prioritizing cruise drop-offs and refusing to pick up people returning from their cruise. Two shuttles returned to the parking lot empty. I had to walk from the terminal back to Lighthouse parking in the end. Over 50 people, many without the ability to walk back like me, were left standing outside in line for nearly two hours. read more

Best place to park when cruising out of Galveston. Prepaid covered parking spot is just under $50. The lot is secure and gated. Located just two blocks from the port with shuttle service, this place is Easy and fast! No waiting in lines, just park and go! Much easier to park here than deal with the hassle and crowds at the "official" port parking lots that require you to drop off bags at the terminal before parking your vehicle. Pick up upon return is a breeze! Lighthouse has there own bus stop in front of the terminal with shuttles waiting to bring you back to your vehicle. I've parked here now on two occasions and have been extremely satisfied with both experiences. read more

Great experience, have been before and will use again! They accept competitors coupons as well. Friendly staff from lot attendant to driver and other staff. Waited by car in the covered lot for just a few minutes a shuttle pulled up and we were off to the cruise terminal. Within a few minutes in all the traffic we were at the terminal to board the Carnival Freedom. They helped take our bags off and the courteous staff told us to remember where to catch the shuttle when we got back. Very easy to find when we got back to Galveston as well since we remembered they park near the yellow flag. Worth every penny and we will use them again in the future. read more
