Absolutely not! After being a long term user our experience was shockingly horrible today. We have never met an employee that was anything but amazing, friendly and so helpful. They must have changed ownership because today we were treated like horrible people by the lot attendant- all for asking to park in a spot that was near a curb to avoid door dings, this then led to us speaking with the owner on the phone, in an effort to make our cruise, we agreed to just park where they wanted us to. Done right? Nope! After parking getting out our luggage and waiting for 10 min, they cancelled our reservation and sent a text that the transport was done for the day- knowing all the lots closed 20 min later. Obviously we had to leave and find another option ~ which we did and saved money doing it. Needless to say, not only will we not be back to them, but as travel agent they will also lose my recommendations and I'll share with my booking agency. i've used these people several times. Never have an issue getting to the ship. But when it's time to go back, they sit there forever as other shuttles go and come back. They continue to sit there even though they have another shuttle already there pick up passengers. read more

I am not sure what the fuss is about this cruise lot? Purchased online week of cruise with a great discount code. Directions are on your receipt. Drove right up with a large sign indicating the lot for your cruise line and where to park. Plenty of staff directing you and shuttle waiting right by where we parked. The driver helps you load your luggage. We waited a little bit long on the shuttle before we drove to the terminal. Pick up day was a breeze shuttle was waiting for us not one but 2 of them! Honestly, I have never had any issues with this company. They are one of the most affordable companies that offer parking for cruisers and my vehicle has been safe all three times I have used them before. The transportation to and from the parking into the cruise port is reliable and continuously running. The only catch is that they work before 2pm which I haven't had any issues with that. read more

This is my second time using this lot. I have nothing but good things to say. Unlike a other lots, they begin giving you great directions as soon as you drive to the check-in. Assistants are in the parking are, accompanied by signs for each ship, to take your bags and load them on the van. I have never had a long wait at the lot or when I disembark from the cruise. EVERYONE IS EXTREMELY COURTEOUS and the LOT IS SAFE. I highly recommend this lot; it is by far the best parking experience in Galveston. read more

SCREAMING AT CUSTOMERS IS NOT OKAY! Do Not Use This Company! If something goes wrong they will fill you with excuse after excuse but the NEVER deal with a situation! We came off the Breeze in Galveston on Sat. Feb 3, it was cool outside and drizzly. No big deal.... I asked the wrong person a question and was then met with a screaming employee, I don't say scream lightly. This man started screaming at my Uncle and myself in front of 75 people and hadn't said a word to him yet! I stood there for a bit dumbfounded. We finally walked away and I paid a different shuttle bus to drop us at the corner. After retrieving our cars , I stopped in the lot and asked a different employee who the man was and was rudely told to move my vehicle out of the way. This company sent my husband an email and asked if he would change his review. He told them they needed to call me and gave them my number. They later texted me and listed all the excuses they give everyone. The weather, the traffic, etc. None of these excuses are acceptable for a person screaming at you. Apparently they have had ongoing complaints for this employee for YEARS, and he is still employed there. Stay away! read more

Parked here during our family cruise. When we got there, employees were not concerned about wasting time and getting us to the ship on time. We got on the bus, and it died on the way to the ship (which wasn't far). When we got back from the cruise, we watched other parking shuttles come and go numerous times while we waited and waited for this one to come back. In the end, because of time restraints, I ended up spending $50 on an Uber XL to get us dropped at the parking lot. That is HARDLY A DISCOUNT! read more

The biggest complain and the reason for the one star is because of an employee who is rude, unkept, and presented a very poor image for the company. STEPHEN. He would grip about the luggage being too heavy and would use profanity in the presence of kids. We have use DCP twice and both times he would rush everyone and act like we were a burden. I hope for the sake of the company they get rid of him and we will be calling to check if he still works there before we book with them again. 12-18-2021 Lost some stars for the return process. We were able to disembark pretty early and make it to the shuttle area pretty quickly. There was already one shuttle that was filling up and about to leave. It was a pretty long wait for the next one and the line of passengers grew very quickly. While you are standing there for 30 minutes waiting, you can clearly see the other parking company shuttle vans rotating in and out a-lot faster. Again the process was chaotic and unorganized. Keep an eye on your luggage to make sure it gets on the shuttle with you. Thankfully we were able to get on the second shuttle that day, but that is only because we got off the ship early. If not, the wait could have been hours. On our drive back the shuttle was packed, every seat full plus passengers standing down the aisle along with luggage. There was even luggage and a person in the spot right by the door. The door was not secure and had a bungee type cord trying to keep it closed. Depending on the speed and road, the door would sway out a little bit, very dangerous. Also, there was an issue where a dashboard sensor was emitting a chiming noise the whole way back, Hopefully these issues have been corrected. It is still inexpensive, and nothing has ever happened to my vehicle while parked there, but be prepared for all that comes with the lowest price. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED. They were the only service that had a line. We waited 20 minutes before we called. There excuse was traffic. We walked and only seen two busses. Will NOT be using them again. Date:March 14, 2020. Returned from cruise on the Vista, disembarked, found porter to assist with luggage and this is the notice from Discount Cruise Parking. All other parking lots in Galveston sent their drivers and vans to transport returning guests to their cars. Also for the people who prepaid parking for the next cancelled cruises, they are refusing to give refunds-- they say use it to park when you cruise next within the next 2 years. My best advise is to avoid this place at all costs. Note the sign says use an Uber or taxi and that added from$8-12 per Parker. Do yourself a favor and use that money to get a responsible parking place! read more

I parked with this company last spring and decided to book again this year. They moved and I liked the location. Well on day 5 my son has to go to the hospital in Cozumel Mexico: My stress level was high. I called DCP and explained what happened and I had to get emergency passports and wouldn't know when I would be back. They told me to call when I was back and not to worry! They have very few shuttles And at 8:30 am they seemed to be waiting to get people at the lot to bring to the ship or something (people aren't parking to embark that early). Upon disembarkation from Harmony of the Seas today, we waited 30 minutes for a shuttle to pick us up; meanwhile, many shuttles came and went from other companies. They had no process for making sure luggage got on the shuttle with passengers, except for passengers watching and yelling out the window that they still needed to grab your bag. Their price was good, but there's definitely a trade off with lack of shuttle runs. If you don't mind the wait, then you can save money booking with this company. read more

Arriving to park was simple. Getting picked up was a different story. We waited in a line for about 25 minutes before the attendant at the terminal it was going to be another 30 minutes. I could tell we wouldn't make it on that shuttle due to where we were in the line and didn't want to wait another 30 minutes so I walked the mile to the parking lot and picked up my family before the shuttle made it to the terminal. Other parking lot shuttles were constantly passing through to pick up people. If you park here, then I hope the weather is nice when you are waiting to get picked up. read more

I was lied to and over charged. They charged me $187.10 for a travel agency up in Maryland. When I ask for a refund, I was told me it was non refundable because it was for port fees. BS I called the merchant directly and told them to refund me immediately. (they did) William lied to me about the location of the lot. (he told me they were across the street from the terminal) I ask for a refund. They refuse to give me the money back even though I purchased the insurance for 49. (i did pay that) but the difference in 77.10 minus 49 is not being refunded. They are telling me that the insurance cost was 77.10. They refuse to work with me and now they won't talk to me or answer e-mails. Of course none of this information is on their website anywhere. Watch out when booking with these people. They are deceitful. Another port parking lot only charges $4.95 for insurance. $49.00 is outrageous. read more

If you want to wait in the rain 1.5 hours just to get on a shuttle bus use this company. They have expanded and they have a new lot but the service is terrible and the guy parking us was upset when we asked him what was taking so long. He threw up his hands and said there was not enough buses and that we all had to wait. He looked really bad, and his hygiene was terrible. I didn't say anything else because I didn't want to return and have our car broken into (we were forced to park way in the back). I tried to contact the company but no one returns calls. Service was horrible. We waited for 2 hours in the cold and never got picked up. The manager Bonnie was very rude about it and had no care in the world. We arrived and was greeted with good service. We were just crammed into this old dirty bus. It was exactly the discount experience you would expect. Nonetheless, the drivers were pretty friendly and nice. The best part would probably be that they'll drop you off and they've got their own porter. I think the detractor was that there were signs indicating that we should tip the driver; and also the driver on the way to the port was trying to be a tour guide. I didn't mind his facts and interesting wikipedia numbers that he recited from memory; but he was mildly inappropriate at times with children in the bus. Luckily, we don't have kids. The driver would be perfect for the college and mid-20's crowd. He just didn't understand to adjust your content for the audience. We got their earlier so we were crammed with 100-somethings and a family with elementary age children. The ride to the port is about 7-10 minutes. I was told it was a couple miles away. The return ride with the lady was better. She was pleasant and friendly. Overall 3.5. Experience could be better, if he didn't try so hard to audition for the punchliner standup comic. read more

Here is what their website doesn't tell you. 1 - The shuttles are 'free' but once you board them they are plastered with stickers telling you how much you are expected to tip the driver. Apparently they provide the shuttles but the drivers work for tips. Shuttle also reeked of cigarette smoke. Either someone was smoking inside the shuttles or right at the door. 2 - There is a train track between the parking lot and the cruise terminal. You might think this is no big deal but this is working port terminal, the track regularly blocks off for 20 - 30 minutes. That means that when you park, you might be waiting 30 minutes for that shuttle that is so close you can almost see it but the train is stopped while it unloads or loads. In the end that means you can be waiting up to an hour or more to get from the port back to your car after you get off the boat. (yeah, I timed it, it was cold and I didn't pack winter clothes for our Caribbean cruise) 3 - luggage... they will unload your luggage... right at a pump at the gas station while you go get your car. Even if its freezing cold and you are in a puddle. The shuttle does not take you to your car, it takes you to near the front of the entrance to the parking lot and you have to go get your car and bring it to your luggage or drag your luggage to your car with no assistance. I'm giving it an extra star since it was actually a parking lot and our car seemed OK when we picked it up but I can't recommend this place for anything other than a spot to put your car. read more
