They've been in the same location for over 100 years (since 1914). Local friends regularly stop at Tomaro's for pepperoni rolls after church on Sunday mornings; we were the lucky recipients of a bag full during a recent visit to Clarksburg. You might ask, what exactly is a "pepperoni roll"? A West Virginia regional specialty, it's a soft white, yeast-leavened bread roll filled with pepperoni (sticks or slices), and sometimes cheese. These were originally created by Italian-American immigrants to be a portable, non-refrigerated lunch for coal-miners in the early 20th century. Tomaro's carries on the tradition, and their pepperoni rolls have been voted the best in Harrison County annually from 2018-2025. If you can't make it to Clarksburg, they also distribute the pepperoni rolls to some groceries, such as The Local Market in Morgantown. We recommend the pepperoni rolls from Tomaro's Bakery -- they're especially tasty when warm and fresh from the oven!

A medium cone is huge. Massive. The ice cream was good and perfect treat for a hot summer day. The only rub was that the paper wrapper was suck to the cone with glue, so I couldn't eat the bottom of the cone. On most days, Toni's serves hot foods, but not on Sunday. The clerk was friendly and quick. The place has a local, small-town nostalgic vibe. We found plenty of umbrella covered outdoor seating available outside. This brought us to Bubble World that is in the Meadowbrook Mall food court. Bubble World serves both bubble tea and bubble waffles, as well as Thai rolled ice cream! For our fam' of four, my husband and kids each had a bubble tea, and I decided to splurge on trying a bubble waffle ice cream cone. The bubble teas for the fam' were all enjoyed, with coconut, lemon, and strawberry the flavors of choice. As for my bubble waffle ice cream cone--WOW!! Good thing I had it on New Year's Eve, as this is NOT a New Year resolution food, HA!! They make a fresh warm bubble waffle, then use a cone mold to shape it into an ice cream cone receptacle. Then they fill it with your ice cream of choice, I went with blueberries and cream. And you get one free topping, which I chose cheesecake. The ice cream was fresh and smooth, and the cheesecake topping was BIG CHUNKS of creamy cheesecake. It was delicious and HUGE. I made it through the cheesecake and ice cream, but couldn't finish the waffle. While we were enjoying our treats at a table in the nearby food court, I could see one of the workers making a Thai rolled ice cream, which looked really good too. It's nice that cute little Bridgeport WV even has an option for bubble tea, let alone bubble waffle ice cream cones and Thai rolled ice cream.
