The gym is always very crowded. I went at 5 am a few times and by 5:30 it was stuffed to the brim. Staff is rude and try to grab your phone to market on Facebook... I can't stand that. The music is so loud I feel like my ear drums are going to bust. I had to stop going here despite the great equipment because it's very overstimulating.. Be careful with joining this franchise location. It's much busier than is shared. It's like buying an oversold timeshare and even if you're dissatisfied they will enforce the 90 day commitment and make you pay for the first 3 months. Although I was sad to see Sprouts leave, I was excited to learn a gym would be occupying the empty space. Though I joined straightaway and anticipated the opening, I've been quite disappointed since the opening and am considering cancelling my membership. * Music Volume: The music is blasted so loudly that using your own headphones is almost pointless. And if you're hoping for serenity in hot yoga, think again. You'll still hear the gym's blaring music and the constant thud of heavy weights hitting the floor while trying to enjoy shavasana. * Overcrowding: Even mid-morning, the gym feels packed. With only one machine for many exercise types, I often end up waiting or end up unable to complete a planned workout. * Hot Yoga Hygiene: The studio floor isn't cleaned between back-to-back classes, and perhaps not even when there's time between sessions. Either way, you end up stepping into leftover sweat from the previous class, which is far from sanitary. * Restroom Cleanliness: The women's restroom is consistently messy, with debris on the floors, urine on the toilet seats, and water across the counters. It reflects poorly on both facility upkeep and member consideration. * Parking Hassles: During peak hours, parking is a nightmare. Finding a spot can easily make you late to class. Yes, the membership is inexpensive, but the overall quality doesn't justify even the low price. At other gyms I've belonged to, the experience was enjoyable and something I looked forward to. At Crunch Duluth, however, the combination of hygiene issues, constant overcrowding, and a chaotic environment has made my visits anything but enjoyable. read more

They are a much bigger scam than any GYM. They scammed me as well, and I am now fighting with my bank to recover my money. My monthly charge was supposed to be $22.24. I later froze my account, but they continued to be charged. The first charge after freezing the account was a monthly fee of $22.24. The following month, I was charged $74.43. I contacted them, and they stated that they would issue a credit and asked me to allow time for the correction. However, the following month, instead of receiving a credit for the overpayment, I was charged again. Today, I requested that the account be canceled. They demanded a $30 cancellation fee, even though I was never under any contract, and this fee was never disclosed. I am not confident they will cancel the account, given their prior misrepresentation that it was frozen. I plan to file a complaint with the FTC next. Unfortunately, I was unable to use the service for months, while I was out of town, so I initially requested a freeze, which they granted and confirmed with a follow-up email. They are not adhering to their confirmation email. I They are charging directly through the bank account number, not just the debit card. As a result, I will have to close my bank account and open a new one to stop these fraudulent charges. read more

I was definitely excited to see this gym come into town because it is significantly less expensive than the one I was paying for. However, this gym is so crowded at all times of the day that there's often a wait for machines. The gym is just too small for the amount of members. I'm not sure if they oversold memberships or if people bring friends because they are constantly advertising you can bring a friend along with you, but forget trying to come early in the morning or on a weekend before 1pm. The equipment is great and their recovery area is nice and they do have an infrared sauna. Everything is just too small. The infrared sauna can only fit about seven people comfortably and trust me when I say you will always be in there with no less than six people. The music is so loud in this gym that even if you are taking a class in either the hot studio or the regular studio, you will still hear the music pumping even though they tell you they turn the music down during the classes. Nothing is soundproof. I have not used the tanning yet, but I plan to use that as we get closer to spring. The lockers do have combination locks already built into them, which is a plus because the John's Creek location does not have that. I could drive an extra 15 minutes to the John's Creek location because it is larger. There is more equipment and it doesn't seem to be as crowded however that's inconvenient considering I only live five minutes from this gym. There is no cycle studio in this in Duluth, which is disappointing. I was told it was because spin is not a popular workout yet the John's Creek location always has full classes. There are retail spaces next to the gym that I wish they would expand into just to give people a little bit more space. I know I should not be so critical because of the price, but I have had to come VERY early and late at night just to work out comfortably. read more

Music is so loud! They use the songs with cursing too (not professional). it is so crammed and tight someone bumped me in the head with a weight trying to squeeze through while I was on a bench. They keep adding people, but are always in a rush to close at the end of the night. The amount of people recording themselves and taking selfies in the mirror is crazy. i don't want to be recorded in the background of anyone's videos, and it's so small I'm sure the whole gym is in the video. Lockrooms are nasty filthy. Always low soap. They need a dress code too, women walking around in Gym Sharks with their privates literally out is not only inappropriate, but unsanitary. If men started going in there underwear will their genitals showing it would not fly as well. They follow you around begging you to stop your workout to give them a 5 star review. Brand new - opened for just a few weeks, and they're off to a great start. It appears corporate learned from previous buildouts, and made sure the bathrooms in this new location are spacious and comfortable. The staff is quite friendly. And Hayley the Trainer is awesome. Highly recommend her because she listens and knows how to tailor workouts to a person's needs. So far, so good!! read more
