This is one of two LA Fitnesses we choose to be consistent at in the ATL region after trying various gyms. It's one of the most updated locations and has the largest variety of equipment for abdominal workouts. Things you should know: I. PARKING There's a large public parking lot out front. It gets packed at rush hour times so if you arrive around that time, expect to park far out and walk. Knock out your cardio for the day lol II. SERVICE They do a fairly good job at up keeping/cleaning the facility compared to other locations. I like that you can't smell the chlorine from the pool when you walk in ~ means they actually clean it. III. QUALITY There's no televisions hanging from the ceilings for the second floor cardio; however, the treadmills have individual TVs. The signal is bad & the screens have static on every channel. So, I wouldn't count on them for a quality distraction from the torture you volunteer your lungs through. They have a matted area for stretching and pilates. Not all the gyms have this so take advantage. IV. CAPACITY Busy at rush hour times. But what gym isn't? Lunch hours and weekends are less crowded. Do what works for you.

20171118 @ 0945. LAFit - Gym is on the corner of the shopping plaza. Parking is shared w/ other biz and so not a private lot for guests. I suppose that's when U try to beat the Saturday morning crowds so U don't have to drive 3-4x around the lot. Children's DayKare to Ur left upon entrance to the lobby. Mbrshp office space, smoothie bar (not open yet), four racquet ball courts, aerobic rm, spin rm w/ three rows of bikes & then the pool. The main area has weights & machines. 2d floor dedicated to cardio machines. Bathrms were clean. No trash on the deck & vanity offers hand towels on both sides, but this morning- it's only avail on the left side of the vanity. This location is set up exactly like Cobb Prkwy. Found a dinosaur but a machine that is a needed addition to NE gym;-)

This is just like every other LA Fitness except the equipment is updated as it a bit newer than other locations. Other than that, not much has changed. The staff is so so when they're not trying to bother you with a promotion or trying to sign you up for a personal trainer. Also I would just sign for the gym online. You won't be able to get much of any deal if you are there in person trying to join. The gym can get rather busy after work from like 5-8PM. Before and after that you should be okay. Overall it's an okay gym, I'm still able to get a good workout in whenever I go and thats really all I'm looking for in a gym. Some people are a bit more picky. If you can get a decent deal I would join. It's not as expensive as other gyms like Lifetime Fitness and if you get the nationwide access you'll be able to go to any of the locations to workout, I know I've definitely taken advantage of that.

watch judge judy while i get in shape? uh YEAH.

They have a nice variety of classes and instructors, cap each class at 10 people total, and is non-heated (which I personally prefer). The first time it's hard to find, as it's nestled back behind the complex of businesses, but parking is easy and it's super accessible. It's no-frills, no gimmicks, just real yoga, in a cheery, bright, and cozy location with kind staff.

Sunny Street Yoga is the studio I have been looking for! There are so many things I like about this…read morestudio - I'll address them in the order of things that appeal to me most. First, Sunny Street limits class sizes to 10. I LOVE that classes never feel crowded, and I never have to rush to get there too early for a spot. Additionally, I never have to worry about the potential awkwardness of touching strangers accidentally in class. (Okay, there are certainly worse things, but this is so awkward, right?!) Next, this is truly a studio that offers many styles of practice. If you are looking for strength and stamina, you can find it. If you are looking for restoration and meditation, you can find it. If you are looking for a flow that combines the two, yep - you can find it. Like an earlier reviewer, I am LOVING the Ashtanga classes. Additionally, all levels of practice are welcomed. Props are readily available, and modifications and enhancements are offered for many asanas. In my experience, classes typically have participants that reflect a range of experience levels. All are welcomed and encouraged. I have never seen anyone pushed beyond their comfort level. All instructors I've practiced with (I have been to classes offered by five different instructors) have been incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and encouraging. I regularly sign up for classes with all of them as my schedule allows. Sunny Street has a handy app for class registration. All classes require registration in advance, and the app makes it so easy to check out the schedule and register for classes. It is super user-friendly. You can also monitor the number of participants who have registered for upcoming classes. Sunny Street also offers other wellness classes and special events, such as book clubs, circles, and general wellness events. They also sponsor events in the community, such as Friday morning yoga at the Forum. There appear to be a number of opportunities to connect with other people who practice at the studio if you are interested in doing so. Finally, it is easy to get in and out of - open parking lot and close to a number of neighborhoods. Classes are affordable and membership is a great value! I highly recommend a visit. Did I mention that they have great offers for visiting guests? Check them out on social media or their website for more details. See you at the studio!

It's so rare to see a business like this continue to grow, and yet continue to improve their relationships with the community the way they do here. The owner, Sheila, is constantly offering new workshops and retreats, bringing in guest instructors from all over the world, and creating exciting additions to our practice. From Basic Yoga classes to Hot Power Flow, Restorative to Yin, Tai Chi, and Meditation, this studio has it all. I love the ability to sign up for a class ahead of time and purchase class packages in the Mind Body app or website. The studio is always nice and clean, and they offer water and hot tea in the waiting area. They also have a nice retail selection with yoga mats, jewelry, candles, and some awesome apparel from brands I love like Alo and Spiritual Gangster. The vibes here are always welcoming and full of love, whether you've been coming for years or are brand new. Tons of options for those just venturing into a yoga practice AND very advanced yogis. No intimidation factor here, just good energy.
