Came for one workout early Saturday morning through ClassPass!…read more The layout: there are no separate rooms built into this fitness studio. It's just one big open room with equipment laid out. There's a few chairs around the room and Sam (the head trainer and owner) has a podium at the front to do any admin things like paperwork. The workout: There were about 5 other women there for the session that day and we started just a couple minutes after 9 am with a core warmup. this session was called "open gym" so the two trainers created different stations throughout the room including weighted squats, a bench press, ropes, etc. Kinda like boot camp drills. There were about 10 different total small workouts and every attendee was supposed to complete 15 reps of each activity 3 times. It. Was. A. Workout. Trainers/environment: super fun environment. Music is loud and hype which makes these kinds of workouts more fun! Trainer Sam and her other trainer seemed to know everyone super personally which is awesome. They walked around and continued to fix your form and push a workout until you hit your best. The other ladies were also super friendly. By the end, I was a sweaty mess but felt good. The morning after is here, and it feels like someone's put a ton of bricks on parts of my body but rest assured, the soreness means it worked! $$: I came to this through classpass so I thought it was worth it but not sure if I'd pay full price for a subscription! I called to reserve and he welcomed me to the first class by text. I've been really happy with the workouts, even though I have never been a morning workout person. The programs are varied and efficient. Matthew does not have a 'drill sargeant' style, so my preconceptions of 'boot camps' are not a problem. It is go your own pace, if you're feeling it or not on any given day, if you can just make it to class, there's a workout for you. 530am class is generally busiest. 630, 730, and 830 classes currently have room for more students. Matthew is easy to talk to, so just let him know any concerns or goals. Or just workout. He offers a generous Free week trial, so no reason not to try.

Prior to this, I went to a 'regular' gym with machines and weights. BBC is a combination of strength and high intensity interval training. However, they do not use machines. There are plenty of equipment (weights, ropes, bands, medicine balls, etc) to help target every muscle group. There are currently 9 different camp times offered during the week and three morning classes on Saturdays. They are closed on Sundays. Each camp is 45 minutes long and challenging. You could even say intense... but in a good way! Of all my on-again off-again years of working out, I've never sweat or have been challenged like I do during a camp at BBC. It feels amazing! Burn Boot Camp Cumming is more than a gym, it's a community. I know that sounds cheesy, but it's true. Their team is super helpful and friendly, and they go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The trainers are very knowledgeable and will give you the right push to reach your potential. They often use the phrase, "let it burn." And boy does it burn so good. They will also make modifications if you have an injury but still want to participate. Focus meetings are included in the packages. I wish I had taken advantage of this sooner. The trainers will give you a nutritional plan that's doable to help you achieve your goals. I've only started to see REAL results after going to focus meetings. As a member, you get free childcare and access to the private Facebook community group. Right now, virtual workouts are offered and shared on the Facebook group. BBC likes to spice things up every now and then by adding challenges throughout the year. Commit2Fit is a popular one. It's actually what got me to sign up. It's 4 weeks of unlimited camps for $99. I tried it in September 2019 and have been hooked ever since.
