At the time if my appointment she didn't have a salon in charlotte. She was going between Raleigh and Charlotte. I read her reviews, looked at her Instagram pics, and watched her YouTube videos. I thought she was exactly what I needed. The day before my appointment I called her to confirm my appointment. She told me that she wasn't going to be in town that day. So I had to get my hair done that day or not at all. So I changed my schedule, and came to the hotel where she would style my hair. I had no idea she didn't have a salon, her website is out of date and misleading. So she told me to wash my own hair (which I had no problem doing). She asked me how I wanted my hair and she got started. It didn't take that long at all. She was quick and it was in tight. Now here comes the issue. On her website it said $200 with net and $250 for high ponytail sew in. I asked how much and she tried to charge me $300!!!! I did not get a net, a high ponytail, or even a wash!!!!! I told her all I had was $200. And she told me she charges extra for 3 bundles. She only does two bundles and any more would be extra. Where was that on her website?! This lady tried to hustle me out of my money so hard! She's good at it, I was not having it. I got my two bundles, took my third one home, and paid my $200. She also did my hair the way she wanted because it was almost a middle part. For that much she was supposed to give me the middle part that I asked for and I showed her where I wanted it. UNPROFESSIONAL STYLIST WHO DESPERATELY NEEDS A COURSE OF HOW TO BECOME THE CONSUMATE BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL I would not recommend anyone going to Crystal for ANY service as she has consistently shown herself to be less than professional time and time again. Of the 5 appointments that I had with her, she was only on time for one. My first appointment was scheduled for 11 am; however, when I arrived she had 4 to 5 other ladies in the shop waiting to be serviced. I didn't leave the shop until 5 pm yet she continues to advertise her 1 hour appointments. My last 2 appointments (October & January) were the worst. In October I called to confirm my appointment as she requested via her email reminders. When she finally called to confirm my appointment on Thursday afternoon (my appointment was Saturday morning), she advised me that she would not be able to do my hair, even though my appointment had been on her books for a month. When I asked why she didn't call to give me more notice, she started making excuses about her life, her celebrity clients, and some more bullshit etc. She said that she could only do it on Friday which was not convenient for me as I work. When I agreed to come on Friday at 8 pm, I then learned why she was not able to do my hair. The lady, had started packing up her salon to move to Durham the next day and had not planned to give her clients any notice. Trifling right? It gets better, I gave her the benefit of the doubt in January and again she was less than professional. When I called to confirm my Saturday appointment on Thursday afternoon, she advised that she might not be able to do my hair as scheduled but could do it the following Saturday, as she was traveling. Long story short, she sent me a text saying would make the appointment and asked that I remind her of the time, which I did. On Saturday morning, I sent her a text asking for the new Charlotte location address and she sent me a text stating that she would not be in Charlotte until later that afternoon. WTF!!!!!! A true professional would have picked up the phone, but not her. Again, when I called her she gave me her inconsistency speech about her driver (laughable right), shoveled more of her excuses and stated that she was coming to Charlotte just to do my hair. You know that is a lie right? When she finally arrived in Charlotte late that afternoon, she sent me a text saying she was at XYZ hotel at Concord Mills. Yeah, she did my hair in a hotel room, not a salon. Furthermore, she stated that she was coming to Charlotte just to do my hair, not true, shortly after I arrived 2 ladies who had traveled 8 hours showed up. Caught her in yet another lie!!! After I left she sent me a text stating that I owed her $30 which was not true and I decided not to respond until the next day, once I cooled off. The next day when I responded, her NJ Ghetto Azz, had the nerve to tell me that her clients gladly travel 8+ hours to get their hair done and never complain about the wait. Well, for professional business women like myself who have lives we don't have time to be sitting in your salon or anyone else's for that matter waiting on you all day. As expected, she responded with her inconsistent bullshit speeches and had the nerve to tell me she never stood me up or messed up my hair. Some people never get it and Crystal my dear YOU are one of those people. Please take the constructive criticisms that I gave you and know that your unprofessionalism is catching up with you. This is the reason for yet another BAD review for Cysstyles Hair Boutique. P.S. Even if you get a personal assistant (not Clair, your 9 year old daughter), that won't solve your customer service and professionalism issues.
