For over 6 years I have entrusted this place for all my hair cuts and dye. I started with a stylist that is no longer there because she is now in a different career. I now have Charlie. He is a master at Color and honesty. He gives me the best recommendation on colors that will work best with my dark hair. There are times where I think a color will work and he lets me know what the possible outcome or what the color will turn after a few days. read more

I bought a livingsocial deal for Indulgence for a haircut, style and color. This place is across from Wells Fargo on WT Harris. There are plenty of parking lots. There are Tony's Pizze and Nona's bakery locate near Indulgence Salon. Charlie the owner did my haircut and color and he did a fabulous job on my hair. I bought the deal and he didn't rush to do my hair. He really took the time to color and cut my hair. I love the color and the cut. It is always a challenge for me to find a stylist that can do good haircuts. I am so glad that through Livingsocial that I find Indulgence Salon. Went here for a wash and blow out on my lunch break due to having to be somewhere later and not having enough time after work to go home. The service wasn't anything special, or really even good. It was dried with a round brush and whatever product was used weighed my hair down and made it look even more flat than it normally is, and took away from that clean feeling of being washed. Definitely not worth $30 for what was provided. I ended up washing my hair later that evening because of how greasy it felt. read more

I've been needing a haircut for the last year but have put it off because I can never find the right salon that can do it correctly. I've had the asme person cut my hair in years but when I moved, I was forced to find a different person. The haircuts I've gotten since were okay. Not bad, but I didn't love it. I just happened to drive by this salon since it was near my hotel and I called and spoke to Charlie who was able to get me in immediately. When I walked in, he was ready for me and he was very gentle, washed my hair very well(not rushed), cut it and blowed dry and all very gently. I am definitely going back to see Charlie! Oh! Price is reasonable too. I got a haircut, shampoo, blowdry for $40. Quality service! read more

I've only had one person ever give me a haircut as well as Richard at Indulgence did. The haircut also included shampooing! He let me squeeze a visit in at the last minute, yet was extremely attentive and didn't rush the haircut. Very polite, very skilled, and very professional. read more

I got my haircut by Stevie last time and I am scheduled to get a cut with her again. First off, this salon is amazing, very good mix of people and very good atmosphere. Secondly, I love being asked so may questions about how I like my hair cut and receiving affirmation many times because it shows that they not only know what they are doing, but they care about what you want done. I tried another place in Uptown charlotte and the girl there didn't know what she was doing, I told her to trim up my layers and she cut 2 inches right off the front of my hair straight across and nothing else matched it. I had a very bad experience in this salon. My friend recommended to see Charlie (owner) for a haircut. The first impression was good. He was friendly and approachable. My hair was pretty long (below shoulder blade) but I had highlights before and the ends looked a bit dry and damaged. I knew I will have to loose some length to bring my hair back to life. And this is what Charlie recommended as well. I agreed to cut some length but to keep it below the shoulders since short hair does not look good on me. The haircut style I asked for was simple - smooth layers in the back and front. Charlie's response was "This is my favorite hairstyle and I do it the best." Kind of cocky, but I thought maybe he really knows what he is doing. Boy, was I wrong! He messed up my hair pretty bad. I ended up having a helmet on my head with long hair underneath. There are only two layers. The first layer is very short and the second layer is very long. Top side layers are shorter than front layers... Additionally, the top layer in the back was cut straight ( just imagine taking scissors and just cutting hair straight), no layering or blending with the rest hair. When I saw that and asked Charlie to fix it and blend it in, he said that it was all damaged hair and he cannot fix it right now and I just have to wait for hair to grow back :(... I was upset about that but I didn't think it was so bad, so I paid and left. When I got home, my husband, who usually does not even care what I do with my hair, was shocked to see my hair. I asked my friend to come over and see if we can fix it but she just shook her head and said "I am sooo sorry". At that point I knew I had to call Charlie back. So the next day I called him and politely explained that I am not happy with the cut and asked what was the best time for me to come to see him. The first thing he said was "I don't have time for you today because I am booked." I think I sounded desperate because I asked to come for only 10-15 min because I just cannot go like this to work, but he firmly said that he is too busy and does not have time for me.... And he is the owner!!! I was not rude or anything. At least I expected him to say "so sorry that you're not happy", or "what can I do to fix it" or something like that, but apparently he does not care about his clients and if he messes up your hair, it's your problem... He told me he can see me only in two days!!! An hour later I was standing in front of him and explaining that I cannot wait that long... His response was" your haircut was not the worst"... Really??? He just admitted that he screw it up! He did not ask me to let my hair down (I had it in a ponytail, yes, thank God I can still tie my hair in a ponytail) to show what needs to be fixed or what I am not happy about, but instead, right away, he offered me a refund. He knew what he did to me! And he made a good choice because I wouldn't let him touch my hair ever. I am happy that I did not have to pay for his mess up but very shocked with the service I received from the owner of this place. But this is just my experience... read more
