I did my first tuina massage and I loved it! When we got home, I wanted to find a place to go to recreate the amazing experience I had at the resort, and I found it at Shangri-La Wellness & Massage Spa. The place is this little oasis in the middle of a busy commercial part of Richmond Hill but once inside you'd never know it. The facility is nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The staff are all very friendly, efficient and professional. My favourite spa service is the tiuna massage with Coco, but sometimes I'll switch things up and do the Turkish massage or the aromatherapy massage with one of the other staff. I never go longer than one month without a massage session of some kind, sometimes if I've been feeling more stress and simply want to unwind, I'll go more often. Whatever service I get, I'm always relaxed and revitalized when I'm done, every time.

It took about 2 to 3 hours to finish the body massage, facial & body wrap all tgt. The staff were extremely friendly and kind. Called in same day in the morning and they had an available time slot for me in the afternoon. Super friendly and convenient location - just at Times Square. I was contemplating dying my hair for a few months now. Never dyed my hair before so I was extra cautious and read a ton of reviews. The experience here was so surprisingly pleasant!!! Since I wanted a drastic colour change, I was expecting to sit there for a good 7 hours as suggested by my friends. But my time there was only 3 hours for the dye process! As well people had told me that it may hurt my head from the bleach but when I got it done here it was so pleasant! My hairdresser had advised that it's because they use only quality products here. If you dye your hair and it hurts your scalp, the quality is very terrible for the body and hair. As well once I was complete my hair was not dry at all even after 2 processes of dye. I am very impressed at the quality!!! ******** Been a regular for many years here. I believe this place has been existing for more than 15 years. Clean and fresh salon. The first session we had milk bath, the room is very beautiful. The experience included an herbal tea, cold water, and some snacks. I did slip 3x, but I was apparently the only one, as my 3 companions had no issue. There is a sign in the room warning of the slippery floor when wet, and there is the option to put a towel on the floor. Be careful going in, the water is HOT. Also be mindful, there is a drain plug at the back of the tub in the middle (by the tree blossoms side). We were in the middle taking a group photo and didn't realize the drain was pressed and popped up. The water drained very, very quickly. We turned on the faucet both hot and cold side, for about 15mins but the water levels didn't really return, so we had about 3 inches of water for the rest of the time lol. Second session with my husband, they called me the day before to let me know the milk bath was unavailable and we switched to the detox bath. The water was a dark colour but it was still a nice experience. Staff are very friendly. They knock on your door about 20 mins before your time is up. The booking time includes getting ready to go in and out. There is a shower in the room to rinse and cool off. The staff recommended a cool shower every 20 mins so not to get too heated. The snacks included some veggies (cucumber, Carrot, celery) and dip, Ritz crackers, and unfortunately, peanuts. I am mildly allergic to peanuts, fortunately non-anaphylaxic. They really shouldn't use peanuts or any nuts imo. There was a notice on their Instagram that said they will be shutting down the tubs after March 2025.

Who's here because of Instagram? -Raises hand-…read more This place blew up among my GTA friends. A way to emulate the Japanese Onsen experience? Sign me up! It's definitely a cute place to try out. We signed up for the Maple room, and it was a beautifully decorated space with a square tub full of milky water, a little calligraphy table, and a shower. First of all, this is a perfect place for a photoshoot. From the aesthetics, to the Kimono they give you, to the little rose petals, it's a wonderful place to set up some amazing shots. Having said that, it is all a little "fake" feeling. The water didn't leave my skin feeling particularly nourished. The rose petals were cloth that were kind of frayed and used. And of course, it's less of an onsen and more of a hot tub experience. All that is fine though as long as you don't expect it to be anything more than that. There were also a few things that fell a bit short of the "luxe" vibes this spa was giving. For one, they told us to text or call front desk if we needed anything. At some point, we wanted to look at a menu and I tried both texting and calling but didn't get any responses until the last 10 mins. Another thing was that the light wasn't turned on in the shower area in our room and we weren't sure if we were allowed to use it or not. Is this place worth it? I still think so, especially for a fun time with a couple of friends. The price is reasonable for 1.5 hours and you can go with 4 people in total, making it even more reasonable. There are some snacks and refreshments, as well as an array of skincare products you can use. It's a fancy hot tub that's very photogenic.
