I don't appreciate receiving misleading and fraudulent snail mail or email. When it comes in snail mail we call it junk mail. When it comes in email we call it spam, and the next step is hacking my private information. I bit thinking I had a delivery waiting for me, as is typical on a weekly basis for me. The operator proceeded to "look up" my account to see what it was I had delivered and then let me know it was a $50 gift card to Red Lobster after Crystal Clear Concepts comes to my home and inspects the quality of my water, since my area has a known water quality issue. They dupped a friend of mine close by and she bought a whole system for her house, poor thing. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. And when I let the operator know that, he got defensive and let me know they are highly rated on BBB. If they have my package and they are testing water quality, why are they so concerned about their rep on BBB? We will see about that. read more

This company will not return calls. They installed a water purifier and softener and used rotten wood to encase the equipment. They promised to come back and replace the wood and replace the electrical tape they rapped around the cord to connect the unit, which is tacky and unprofessional. That was in November, I am still waiting. Since I am paying more than $5,000 for the unit, this is a problem! I think the first tech thought he couldn't close the deal before he even started as we have reverse osmosis. The 2nd appt. the tech was genuine, knowledgeable, consultative and thorough on the water test... now the pitch... opportunity cost, giving a butt load of product to offset the monthly cost. This company sent a postcard "FREE Home Depot Gift Card" (with a picture of a $25 card) "Call & take a quick survey to receive a free gift card" On the back " less than 2 min for $25 to spend on YOUR HOME" When I called they said I need to have an in-home water test that was about 45 minutes. I told the person exactly what the card stated and she said that was not the case and a water test had to be done. I told her it was deceptive and false advertising. She transferred me. That person said the same thing. I sent the company this info via their contact page after no one picked up later. I also filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General as this is illegal especially in Texas. read more

The sales pitch was the typical and same as the rest of the companies; they compare your tap with water filtered through their system, you get grossed out and choose to invest in their product. What pushed me to go with them versus the other two companies vying for my business were the incentives and "gifts". The installation was scheduled for the very next day which is GREAT! What's not great is I was not aware that they had to rip up my new garden to put the filtration system in my garage. The gentlemen were very nice and polite;however, I didn't really appreciate one asking to use my bathroom. I was thinking he needed to pee but was beyond disgusted when I walked past the door 15 minutes late and smelled s**t!! I had to clean grass from my toilet seat and freshen it up after he finished. Now back to my yard: 10 plants were killed (newly planted), a pile of stones were left on my grass which killed it, my rose bush (newly bought and planted) died and my water hose was unrolled and tossed on the side of the house. Perhaps these things wouldn't have happened had I micromanaged them but really, who wants to do that??? The positives about this experience: they were friendly, they explained the system and I received goodies. If you don't have a garden and if you have an outhouse, then I recommend them for you. This company sends out fraudulent mail notices claiming that you have a package waiting. As I was actually expecting a large delivery, I called the number. The man who answered explained that a bunch of people from our area had reported water quality issues (lie) and that they were contracting with the Texas Water Quality Association to send out water testing companies to compile reports (also a lie). The "package" is a free gift card for having your water tested. In fact, the entire charade was a scare tactics sales pitch to get you to buy a $9,000 water softener and filtration system. The salesman claimed our tested levels of chlorine were dangerous, but the EPA page regarding chlorine levels in drinking water states otherwise. Also, the salesman did NOT have a business card (very shady) and faked being on the phone with another company rep when we said that we were not in the market for the system (which was almost comical in its absurdity). This whole company has a relationship built on lies and fraud. If you're going to get a water softener system, do not reward this behavior. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! We purchased the Westinghouse Refiner system 18-monhs ago from Crystal Clear Concepts and the system is great. Unfortunately, we received a text last week stating that we were due for our follow-up appointment and we took the bait. They came in to our house and pushed a $29 a month service plan and told us that if we did not sign up for the plan that our Lifetime Warranty would be voided. I talked with Westinghouse this AM (The Lever Edge) and was told that our warranty remains in place and that there is NO MONTHLY SERVICE needed on this contained system. The technician told my wife that he has seen the media need replaced after SIX MONTHS and listed costs in excess of $4,000. In talking with a CERTIFIED Service center for Westinghouse, the cost to replace the entire filter is only $450 and is required every 3-6 years based on consumption and water hardness. I have also been told (Not able to verify) that Crystal Clear Concepts filed for BANKRUPTCY and is now operating as "Your Water Matters LLC" as annotated on the upper left corner of the attachment. Either way, I cancelled the WORTHLESS service plan and forwarded my complaint to Westinghouse. I have attached a copy of the document the rep was pushing. read more

Product is good... however everything has a price and worth. It is not worth the price for the crappy customer service and lies that were told to us by the sales team. When we called to inform them about the info we were told at our house, the statement was made over the phone "we have had other customers say the same thing, but we actually don't do that" referring to refunding your monthly expenses(soaps...etc) if you don't like them. Also the maintence is not included they will actually call and schedule a few appointments and not show up or call you, when you take off work and try to be at home to let them in, then when they do show up, they want to sell you another maintence package. When we were told maintenance was covered...... what a coincidence that the sales guy that told us these false things is no longer employed there.... save yourself the headache and from wasting your breath and time. I do not like that on their website they have no information about the product, how it works, the materials used, any performance data or lab sheet showing results from tests for contaminants and the rejection rates. That is a HUGE red flag. If the product is so great there should be comprehensive information and lab data upfront on the product which would sell it without the "used car salesman" tactics. Most of us know how bad the water is so we don't need them to talk about that for an hour what we want to know is about your product. And they really try to push westinghouse to sell it which is a marketing ploy to deflect from saying anything about the products performance. So I felt like the hour+ long sales pitch was a lot of smoke and mirrors and a huge waste of time. I kept waiting for them to get to the punch line about the product and it never happened and when I asked for the data he said he just doesn't have it and left. No brochures or any information was left behind. Red Flag. Red Flag. Red Flag. Also where are any of their certifications? Red Flag. I saw they tested themselves to the NSF standards but I did not see any certifications from any other party. And do we trust them doing their own testing? The salesman was very good but he made a call to the "office" and I talked to another salesman and told repeatedly I did not want the product. He even called the next day offering my wife several freebies. We finally gave in a bought them product which has made no difference in our water and when the filter back washes the water flood my driveway which freezes in cold weather. I have called several times and received a call from the maintenance supervisor who said all his techs were in train and he would call back that afternoon. We that was over a month ago and still no phone call. I called the company I financed with and they called crystal clear concepts to arrange a call to me. They called once which I missed and left a number on my voice mail. I have called almost daily over the last two weeks leaving messages with no call backs. I am very frustrated with this company and would like them to remove the product but they have a restocking fee of 25%. I received a mailer saying for a quick 25 min. survey I could receive a $25 Home Depot gift card. So I decided to try it. Turns out its a water softener company saying they are helping Flower Mound out with some water testing and in return I get a $25 home depot gift card (lie). So they wanted to set up a time to test my water. So I agreed since it was free. They said it would take about 1 hour (lie) and both my wife and I needed to be present. So at the end of this 3 hour presentation which was not just a water test but a sales pitch with pushy tactics. The salesman Brock kept calling back to headquarters (9 pm at night pitch started at 6) telling me they are offering me a better deal. This was super annoying. So he never gave me my free water test sheet, and when I tried to use the gift card at Home Depot it had not been loaded yet. This is one super shady company with twisted sales tactics. Brock even spoke about church and how he got this job through another church friend WOW. Pretty sure these people missed some versus in the bible. I received a letter in the mail titled "Water Safety Advisory" stating that my house is on the list as having dangerous levels of contaminants. The letter contained a State of Texas seal on the lower right, a "Safe Water for Texas" logo on the top left, and included a "Survey Number" reference for me to call with. My BS detector went into over-drive immediately because of the 3 poorly written paragraphs and the fact that "contaminants" was not spelled correctly. No where on the letter does it identify Crystal Clear Concepts as the originator of the letter and it was not until I called the number provided and asked the name of the company that I learned who it was. This is the most blatant attempt at passing a piece of junk mail off as an official State of Texas document that I've ever seen. Any company that is willing to stoop to this type of deceptive advertising does not have the level of integrity I'm looking for in a business partner.
