I am rating a 3 because I chose not to go with this company due to their very high price and some information that I was given by the person that came to my home that I have never heard anyone else ever say in person or on the internet. Here's the story. I was quoted $3300 (parts and labor) to replace a 20 gallon tank hot water heater and add a flood stop valve. Now I've had a 40 gallon water heater replaced before at a different house and it only cost me $1300 (with parts and labor) so I definitely had some sticker shock. Maybe that's normal now, but I'm not sure that labor inflation has gone up this much in 5 years. Maybe it has though. . . (Doesn't look like it when I check homedepot.com though). Second, I was inquiring about maybe going tankless because I have an attic mounted water heater and I would definitely like to not have to worry about losing a ceiling one day because the tank fails. The person from this company was vehement that tankless water heaters use more electricity than tanked water heaters. What? Isn't the whole point of tankless water heaters that they use LESS electricity? Hasn't most of Europe switched over to tankless because they use less electricity? Doesn't the US Government's EPA say that tankless units use 34% electricity on average? What is going on here? Whether the company stands by this claim or denies that their guy said it. . . I would never go with a company with such suspicious pricing and that makes such suspicious claims about energy usage. YMMV.

Angel and his crew of about 4-6 guys worked at our house for 8 days, even on weekends and on nights (with our permission). Hoping to get it all done before a bunch of rain came in. They did! For some reason, HFP pays for the "Request a Quote" feature, which induces customers to write to them with questions, but then responds by referring all inquiries to call their office. It's a waste of people's time to have us take the time to type things out and answer the quote system's questions, only to ignore everything we've said and tell us to call (where we will then have to repeat everything we wrote). If a company does not want to deal with electronic communication, it seems sensible not to advertise such options.
