It's been months and I have not heard back. I've finally given up hope that they will refund a portion of the money. To be clear: they got the job done and fixed everything correctly (2 stars instead of 1), but they were shady with estimates and unreasonable prices. DO NOT APPROVE REPAIRS WITHOUT AN ESTIMATE IN HAND (and then maybe get a competitive bid if their estimate seems high)

They left me without gas or hot water for 4 days! Thomas couldn't figure out what the problem was even though Atmos labeled all the leaks. He cut a hole in my wall and left! He said I needed "parts" but the warehouse was already closed. I called the office multiple times to get an update, cost of repairs etc and kept being told someone would call me back. I called another company who said that a permit was never pulled for my house and it has to be done when Atmos cuts you off, new company came out had me fixed within a hour because I didn't need "parts",the city inspector came out the same day too. After my repairs were completed by another company I got a quote from Hawkeye for 3 times the amount it actually cost to get fix! Be aware and stay away from this place. Update he has now increased my amount due for the second time and called Fort Worth to try and press theft charges against me. Truly a horrible company and human. Stay away!

I also had them come back to replace 2 of my outdoor faucets that were leaking and they were thorough in fixing these at a reasonable cost compared to all the other plumbers who have come by to give estimates. Just a lead farm for independent plumbers. I called this morning requesting a service call for a…read morewater softener. I explained the problem in detail. They said they would call back when they had checked their schedule for availability. I got a call back from a different number, seemed like might not have been the same person, but since I had only called one plumber, I figured it had to be the same guy. We spoke and agreed on a 5PM service call to work on my water softener. I took photos of the unit and sent a detailed text, to which he confirmed. They said someone would be here at 5PM. 5:15 PM no one is here, no ones has called, so I call them back, they said they would call the technician and call me right back. At 5:35PM, still no call back. I call again "the technician is wrapping up another job, he'll be right there" 5:45PM the technician calls me and says..."so what are we doing today, installing a water filter?" I said no, you're repairing a water softener...I sent pictures and a detailed explanation to your boss. "oh, well we don't really do that, there must have been a miscommunication" So I call the number of the guy I have been texting with...and he sends me to voicemail. I text him letting him know what happened and asking for an update. He responds "I'll call you in 1 minute" well, that was almost 30 minutes ago. I would avoid these guys like the plague.

The gas company knocked on my door at 8:30 pm on a Tuesday night; letting me know I had a major gas leak and that they were shutting my gas off until it could be fixed. I immediately messaged 10-15 companies on Yelp and John was the first to get back to me, and with a reasonable estimate. (Other companies quoted an extra charge because of the "urgent" nature of the issue, John did not.) As promised, John showed up first thing the next morning, walked through the leaks with me and explained how he was going to fix them. I live in an old building, and the lines connected to my water heater/furnace had an undisclosed leak. He was here for 3.5-4 hours, and did an incredibly thorough job patching up the lines and replacing the shut off valves. The gas company checked for leaks when they turned the gas back on, and the commented what an amazing job he had done. I will be keeping John's info and will contact him for any and all future plumbing needs. He was very polite, fairly priced, and treated my home like his own.

When we called Michelangelo's, an actual human answered the phone and told us they could have someone out between 2-4pm. We were so relieved. Mike came out on time and knew what the problem was immediately. He explained what he was going to do and he answered all of our questions and then proceeded to fix our issue. Even though we had to pay a little extra because it was a weekend, it was well worth it. We would use Michelangelo's again in a heartbeat.
