We had been dealing with recurring leaks around a skylight area and water stains near one corner of the ceiling after monsoon storms, even though another contractor had supposedly repaired it less than two years earlier. Charlie came out personally for the inspection and immediately noticed several issues that previous companies completely overlooked, including cracked mortar around flashing areas, deteriorated underlayment beneath some of the tile sections, and improper sealing near the skylight transition. He explained how Arizona's heat and seasonal storms gradually break down these vulnerable areas over time, especially on older tile roofs. Their detailed and honest the inspection was quite impressive. He took photos throughout the process and walked us through every issue step by step without trying to pressure us into unnecessary work. We ended up hiring them for partial tile removal, underlayment replacement, flashing repairs, and waterproof sealing around the skylight and vent penetrations. The crew showed up exactly when scheduled each morning and worked very efficiently. They were also extremely respectful of the property. Before starting, they carefully protected landscaping around the house and made sure debris from removed tile and old material was cleaned up daily instead of piling up around the yard. Furthermore, the quality of the workmanship during the repair itself. They didn't rush through the project or cut corners. The replacement underlayment installation looked very precise, and they took extra time matching replacement tiles so the repaired areas blended naturally with the original roof. You honestly can't tell where the work was done unless someone points it out. A few weeks later, after another heavy storm passed through the area, we had absolutely zero leaks or moisture issues for the first time in years. We also noticed the upstairs portion of the house staying cooler during hotter afternoons, which Charlie explained was partially due to replacing damaged materials and improving ventilation in the repaired sections. Plus, every question we had was answered clearly, the pricing stayed exactly within the estimate we were given, and there were no surprise charges at the end of the project. It's obvious they've spent years working on tile roofing systems and understand the unique wear and weather conditions Arizona roofs deal with. We had a hard time finding someone to do this as there was a great demand for handymen. I found Brandon and he got back to us promptly and told us he would be able to do this work in about two days. Brandon came but was a bit late but had called ahead to let us know of his delay. He said the he and his assistant would be able to get both racks up in a few hours. They completed the work and it seemed fine. Two days ago, 8/31/2022, my wife and I heard a crash in the garage. I then discovered after going into our garage that the rack collapsed. After investigating the bracket that came out of the ceiling, Brandon didn't bolt the bracket through a stud but only drilled through the sheet rock in the ceiling. Luckily it didn't crash onto my wife's car as the front end is parked underneath the storage rack. The items on the rack shifted but nothing was damaged. Attempting to have Brandon fix his wrong, I called the number listed for him and his phone is no longer in service. Funny thing is that his website is still up and running. Weird. Don't trust this guy, he does horrible work.
