Very disappointed with this office. Their website clearly states they offer pediatric care, and I scheduled an appointment for my child accordingly. They even called to confirm the appointment, and I made sure to provide my daughter's date of birth at that time. We showed up for the appointment only to be told they could not see her. This is incredibly unprofessional. If the doctors on staff aren't able to see pediatric patients, that's something that should have been addressed before we showed up--especially since I was transparent about her age. A simple phone call to clarify would've saved us time and frustration. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for reliable pediatric care. read more

I saw Dr. To for my eye exam. She heard my concerns and also did my exam very thoroughly. I was highly recommended from another doctor to come to crystal eyecare and I am very impressed with my visit. All of the staffs and the doctors here are very knowledgeable and attentive. I had the honors to meet Dr. Le and Dr. Nguyen, and they are the most kindest people I've ever met. After my exam, Gabriel helped me pick out the best choice of frames to go with and his positive attitude makes me want to refer more people to come so they can get the best eye exam experience that every patient should feel. My insurance claim went well and I am happy with everything. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended coming here. read more

Everyone in the office was very friendly. I saw Dr. Nguyen and he listened to all my concerns and and really made me feel comfortable.

I came to get an eye exam so I could look into getting contacts. My contact exam was switched to a glasses exam, for some unexplainable reason. and I was told I'd have to come back to get fitted for contacts. I was told that getting fitted for contacts was necessary being that I haven't wore them in over a decade. I was able to come back the same day and get fitted for contacts, thinking this was a requirement. While in the process of getting my contacts fitted the employee helping me told that I didn't even need the fitting and could've done this on my own and that I would've been been good without this since I have prior experience. I was unaware of the cost of a contact fitting, which was $100. And I understand how business works and that you have to make money. But I was told that this was needed to get contacts, and then to be essentially told that this was unnecessary, felt like I was being taken advantage of. No one went into detail about how I could've got contacts without getting the fitting, and I now understand going forward, that I have to do my due diligence in finding this info out. It just felt extremely unprofessional to make a customer who has come here for years, go through all this. Make sure you ask questions and be thorough to get the service you expect. And to top of it off, I wasn't too pleased with the service I received so I decided I was going to look elsewhere for my contacts and was told "we're not allowed to give you your prescription until you finalize a lens purchase with us". Just overall, extremely unprofessional, greedy and unwilling to help without gaining profit. read more

Dr. Le is the best! Friendly and knowledgable, she's always glad to see me or my family. Staff members are pleasant; office and equipment immaculate. Best of all, appointments are easy to get and in numerous visits, I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to get checked. They have a tremendous assortment of frames if you need glasses. I no longer wear contacts, but when I did, they fit well and were comfortable. Always a pleasure to come to a place where they remember who you are and value you as a customer. read more

Front desk staff were not very friendly. I was made to wait 25 min past my appointment. When taken back, I was unable to see the Dr I made appt for. I had not approved a retina test which cost $40, but when I checked out, I was charged $50 for that very test! They did not process my secondary ins, even though they had it in their records, resulting in overcharge. I tried to leave 1 star, but it put 2 and I can't change it. read more

Very nice staff and people. :) Very nice optometrist as well. As I get into the store, I was 3rd in line, with only 2 people working on the front desk. They were tryin their best to accommodate all of the customer, I didn't mind waitin in line for a little bit. They were nice. I got coupon from Living Socials ($50) for an eye exam with $150 off from a pair glasses with lenses. The optometrist was nice, she knew that I had to drive 30 min back home so she decided not to dilate my eyes (which will make the eyes sensitive to light) so she could check for any abnormalities in the back of the eye.. She opted to take pictures of my eyes instead. I was initially charged for this $30 per eye (it was ridiculous!) but the doctor waived it.. The only downside is that many of their glasses are expensive to me, plus I always have to pay more for my lenses. My lenses were ($360) and the glass I chose (with limited choice and 50% off red dot prices) was $70.. The total came up to be $430-$150 = $280.. It was actually a good price for me but I decided that I could not pay for this (because I just got something else....) so they gave me a raincheck for the discount. I will be able to go back another time and have them give me a $150 off from my prescription glasses. So pretty much a good experience! :) read more

The staff I dealt with were nice, but timing of my glasses from their lab of three weeks, and now trying to get it replaced due to faulty frame that is sliding off my face is another 3-5 weeks. Delivery and time is also important. While waiting for them I ordered a pair from Warbyparker.com and it was in my mailbox in 6 days, disappointed with service. read more

Crystal Eyecare is my family's favorite optometry boutique as we live in the Heights and travel over 30 mins just to be seen by Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Le. The staff is always cheerful and helpful and the office is kid friendly and very clean. Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Le are very gentle and they take their time to explain the exam and the results. One of our glasses were made on-site and the other was ready exactly 2 days later when promised. Great establishment!!! read more

My lenses are difficult to get the measurements correct but Shannon had a great understanding and her measurements were spot on. She is patient and does it right the first time. If I could do a zero i would. Made an error in the lens. Charged me for a lens not covered under insurance. Then corrected and charged the insurance for the second lens and never refunded me. 600 dollars for reading glasses outrageous! Please stay away. read more

I paid $287 out of my pocket to what I was told my insurance would cover, and it would be NO cost for me. I was interested in getting punctal plugs for my dry eyes, so I'd asked the receptionist/front office to confirm with my insurance if it would be a charge for me other than co-pay, before I decided to move forward for the procedure. I expressed my concern to them up front, depending on the cost, I would need to evaluate or find out an alternative if it's expensive. Then, the receptionist claimed that she called my insurance saying that the procedure would be covered without any cost to me (I even said, "great! I guess except for the co-pays). With that mindset, I was put on a temporary punctal plugs for a month that eventually didn't work for me well, so I left with empty handed. About 2 weeks later on, I received a $287 billing statement that I needed to pay back to Crystal Care for my deductible and for a procedure that didn't work for me at all. So, I guess if the procedure works for me, it might cost nothing to me. I paid the remaining balance to them since it went through insurance. Beside, the punctual plugs, I was also conduct an annual eye exam for my 20/20.30(?) eye sight, referred to get a reading glasses. The piece of advice I could offer is that make sure you have a lot of money before you go there for your eyecare. Although Dr. To was very patient, it won't compensate for the clerical error, hidden fee and the amount of money I paid. read more

I've been going to Crystal Eyecare for five or six years now and am always pleased. I've seen Dr Le and Dr Nguyen and both are very good. The office is immaculate and the staff is friendly and helpful. Mai is a great asset to the business. I never have to wait long to be seen. My only negative is that almost all the frames are high end and expensive. Perhaps some lower end frames would be nice. I've had insurance in the past so it was not such a big deal but am retired now so it is. read more
