I called this morning to make sure my prescription was ready for pickup. They said it was. I went to pick it up and they said they don't have it. They sent it to another location without telling me (one that I've never been to). I asked them why they sent it it there and they said all calls go through that location. I have been going to Strong Vision for well over twenty years at this point, so a review is past due. Since, I've gone to Strong both for optometry and ophthalmology and they never let me down. As a type-one diabetic, eye health is especially important and I wouldn't trust anyone else. Dr. Pezzia is especially outstanding: always kind, patient, and extremely diligent in monitoring how my eyes change over time. She's never shy to tell me where I need improvement, but never in a reprimanding way--only aiming for improvement. I have been seeing Dr. Knight for over 20 years. The staff working the front desk is extremely incompetent at both Cypress locations. The past 2 years I have had trouble with them ordering my contacts. Examples: they took 2 weeks to put the order in. They routinely get the orders wrong. They do not listen nor do they care. Uncaring staff. Person ahead of me complaining, then my complaint, and the customer after me had a complaint. This happened multiple times. The lost customer service and it shows. I will never return nor will I recommend. This place sent downhill and the Dr Jane themselves to blame. It starts at the top. They are taking patients, even walk-in, (based on their occupancy). They are clearly in observance of COVID safety recommendations, so bring your mask... It's clean and they are very welcoming. The doctor was nice, the staff was so so. They forgot to call me and tell me my sunglasses had come in. I had to call and find out for myself. They also make you get your eyes dilated or pay $$ to have an eye map for a routine eye appt. That seems ridiculous. I will just go to the one in Fairfield. read more

They accept my insurance so I made an appointment. The regular check up was fine. Fine-tuning my prescription was a little tricky but the doctor was very patient and helpful. While I was getting eyes dilated they had me browse the shop area for frames. The cost of frames were 'normal' which is to say, mostly all overpriced. But there is a nice selection. The customer service was good. They called me the day before to verify insurance. The sales rep for the frames was helpful and patient. I would go again if my insurance doesn't change, but I will never buy frames or lenses there. Get online! Do your research- search for online glasses providers. A lot are legitimate now! read more

We've been going here since they started accepting our insurance a few years ago. My husband and I tried it out first and were very pleased, so we brought our kids here. 4 out of our 6 kids have seen Dr. Strong and she's awesome with them. (I don't know how Dr. Knight is, we've never seen her). Nice, clean waiting room. Area for the kids to play. The times we've been there, they have been on time. The staff has always been good with us. Helping me and my two of my daughters pick out glasses. Dr. Strong has been very helpful finding me contacts I like. I have bad allergies and she gave me a few different ones to try. She also helps by giving me eye drop prescriptions. I use the picture scanning thing instead of dilating my eyes. Costs extra money, but very worth it. Dr. Strong was also good with my 5 year old. My daughter saw her in August and the school sent home a note about 1-2 months later saying she failed her eye exam (at the school). I took her back to Dr. Strong who re-evaluated and insisted she was fine right then. The school wasn't taking their time with her. She didn't just prescribe glasses to make money off of us. The doctor said she didn't need them. Those of us in our family that have had glasses from them have always been happy. Once my husband ordered contacts online and needed the prescription. The person he talked to at the doctor's office tried to get him to use them and even said they'd match the price. We really like Dr. Strong and her office and highly recommend her to everyone. read more

Also very upset because the doctor told me I was getting a certain brand that I always been using but instead gives me a different brand than I asked for, so now they want me to come back and try out the brand I already use and I have to pay more money. took my son there for an annual check up last year, will never go back. The young doctor who was doing his exam prescribed him glasses for absolutely no reason, she also tried to sell us more expensive test instead of pupil dilation. Obviously we didn't buy him glasses because as she said "they were optional". He has a perfect vision, she was clearly doing this to make extra money. I find it very unethical and do not recommend this place! I've been telling all my friends and family not to go to this place and someone suggested I leave a review, so that's what I am doing. read more

My whole family went to Strong Vision Center when we lived in Cypress. We were very happy. The office is nice with state-of-the-art equipment. They are kid friendly and did a wonderful job accommodating my special-needs son. If we were to ever move back to the area, we would go to Strong Vision Center. read more

The optometrist was good and helpful, but the staff can use some help in customer training. First, they make you waive your rights for any frames that get damaged when you submit it for lens replacement. The guy told me it is my responsibility, which is not the case. They outsource it to another company so they pick the company and it is their choice and responsibility. Second, they told me to overcharged me $40 and would refund it to me. It never happened. Third, they gave me a invalid rebate for the contact lenses. When I called about this, they said they would send me another one, which again never happened. Finally, they are too expensive. My last contact lenses, frame, and lens replacement cost less at TSO. I should have went there instead. I thought this place would have better customer service. I was wrong. read more

I have seen Dr.Knight for many years and like her personally, but the lack of customer service I received today goes beyond unacceptable. I was pulling in the parkling lot at 3:13, my appointment was 3:00 and yes I was late, but I have waited much longer than 15 minutes to be seen and whilel I have never before been late, I have never had a time when I was seen at my appointment time and not waited to see the doctor. I received a call from the office stating that they would have to reschedule me because her next appointment (I am assuming for 3:30 was already there.) This goes beyond poor customer service. I have requested she call me to discuss, we will see if that happens. Apparently the doctor's time is far more important than mine. BTW the prices for contacts are very high. read more

If you want to get scammed then go here. They either have the most consistant incompetent staff, or they're just downright scamming customers. Everyone in my family have had something go wrong with orders, and this last one, and I do mean last literally, would have pocketed them over 200.00 in addition to the insurance reimbursement for them. I'm quite sure this is happening to all the other customers, but most do not understand exactly what is right regarding an optical prescription, or specifics on lenses. The funny thing is when you KNOW it's wrong, and they give you some ridiculous excuse to why it's not wrong. For example: The progressive level of bifocal lenses I ordered were so low on the lenses, I had to hold my head up to read. They' re excuse was, and I'm not joking here, "That's how they're suppose to be, and tilting your head up is natural". WHAT THE......? Really? Wait a minute; did I walk in here with an S on my forehead, or what? Were my eyes closed when you measured? Of course after they realized I wasn't an idiot, they re-measured the level, and replaced them. Four weeks later I might add. This is only 1 incident. So, I'm pretty sure you're seeing the picture here, and if you don't believe me, you will after your first order. I guarantee it! read more

I see another optometrist but decided to get glasses from Strong Vision. They carried different brands of frames than my usual optometrist. I bought two pair of designer frames. Progressive. Transitions. All the bells and whistles. Even with insurance covering some of the cost of the first frame and their half off second pair, I still paid close to $900. Upon arriving to pick them up the receptionist handed me two eyeglass cases and cheerfully said have a nice day. I was like what? I need to see the optician. What for she asks. Uh first and foremost to make sure they are the right prescription. Secondly they may need to be adjusted. So i do sit down with someone who I find out later isn't an optician. But oh I help out a lot with the glasses. I know what I'm doing. She did have to adjust one pair. I then asked for a bottle of cleaning spray. Ok. She gets it. As I'm leaving I'm told that I owe $2.71 for the spray. I needed it so I paid. However you've got to be kidding me??? I spend that kind of money and I'm not given any cleaner. WOW!!!!! Just shocked. Strong Vision you need to up your game and retrain your associates and fix this. Next year I'll be driving back to Copperfield and Vision Care with Dr Do. Ingrid who works with Dr Do is an amazing optician. Lesson learned. read more

As far as the optometrists at Strong Vision, they are outstanding. Very professional and your 3pm appointment is at 3pm! Regarding getting your glasses, that's where this experience goes out with our resent flood waters. Glasses ordered. About 12 business work days later, my phone rang and was told that "during a quality control check" it was found that the glasses didn't meet Strong standards. That I like! Weeks later, thought I would check. When I called, they said "oh, there here". I was told that they would call or email me when they arrived. Didn't happen. When I stopped by, I was seated right away, fitted and I was out the door. Three days later I called and said "the glasses just didn't seem correct". Thought I would ask if they were "polarized". She said yes. It was noted that my glasses NOT TO BE POLARIZED. Received an email yesterday that they were in. Stopped in to get the new glasses, forgot to bring the polarized ones. Discussed my disappointment with the a staff member. Listening is great, but acting and recovering is paramount! All I was told is "my experience would be forwarded to Dr. Strong. Long story short, get your eyes checked at Strong Vision and take your prescription somewhere that cares about customer service. read more

The staff is always professional and courteous and explains benefits clearly. Saw Dr. Kakade today. Having Saturday appointments is so convenient. I couldn't be happier with Strong Vision Center, or Dr. Kakade. She treated me very well, took her time and answered every question I had. She is a very professional and kind person. Very patient. She even took me out of the exam room to make sure my distance vision will be properly corrected by having me look across the street.
