This review is long overdue as we have been going here for over ten years now. Dr. Ziskrout is great and I'm not just saying that because we both have "Z" last names and know the pain of doing things alphabetically. Dr. Ziskrout is always friendly and never makes the exam feel rushed in any way. The rest of the team is also great and really make you feel like family when you come here. We usually get Julie (believe that is her name) as our optician and her honest feedback during frame selection is appreciated. They offer a great selection of frames too, from value-priced options to more high end offerings. Can always find a nice pair of Oakley or Nike frames for me and my son and my wife usually finds a Coach pair that she likes. First time here and it was a good experience. The eye doctor was very talented and took care of me quick. The staff were nice too, the receptionist too. The person who sold me my new glasses was also very kind and found me the exact pair I wanted. Close to the house so I ran in to find out how much a visit would cost. Decided to go with them. Was NOT happy with the much higher price I got stuck with. Ordered contacts with them with the understanding that there was a rebate but it appears that the rebate is no good. Disappointed will go back to my old one (that I was not happy with last year) who takes my medical insurance for a big chunk of the bill. read more

I can't say enough good things about this location. At my recent appointment, Dr. Sharma delivered excellent care as always. She is so kind and informative and gets my script right in that sweet spot for far/near/close vision!! The staff are amazing. They are so friendly and they seem like family! V worked through my insurance coverage to get me the best deal possible, so by the end I had purchased a year's worth of contacts and a premium pair of glasses with all the bells and whistles for much less than I would have paid out of pocket on my own. I won't go anywhere else. In fact our family moved further out in North Houston nearly 5 years ago and I still use this location despite the commute, because they're worth it! read more

I would not recommend this business!The office staff and Drs do not communicate with each other which makes the customer frustrated. Dr Meeks is not patient friendly and certainly not personable. They definitely don't have the customers best interest at heart. Barely got my prescription for contacts because of the limited brands that they carry. They have changed management and are not giving the same friendly service that the previous Drs gave. I would not waste my time going there. read more

please do not go to this location ever. They do not care about your schedule. They do not allow you to be late ever regardless of your time and the efforts that you make to arrive at the clinic. I've gone there several times now and have also brought my son there. They were very helpful and just helped me pick out the perfect glasses! But I had an appointment for my son scheduled 7 days from now. They just canceled it because I didn't confirm the appointment quickly enough. I was very sick this week and almost wound up in the emergency room. The last thing I wanted to do was look at my phone because of how difficult the past few days have been. I don't understand why they would cancel the appointment that is scheduled 7 days from now. So I feel like they are good but am hesitant to recommend them. read more

Since this practice was bought out by Memorial Eye Center it has steadily gone down hill. After our last visit it sealed the deal. They argue with you regarding testing out contact lenses, and about your eyesight care in general, the quality of care has tanked and you get different providers. There has been so much turnover. It's a shame when multiple people get together who had gone to that practice for years and all have similar stories on how they have had similar scenarios. Do not recommend. I love this place! My family have been patients for 3 years. We have seen all three Dr's Pham, Jenkins and Ziskrout. All doctors are professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Dr. Ziskrout is one of the best and we generally see him if he's available. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Ziskrout, try and see him if you can, you will not be disappointed. Most people are not a fan of going to an optometrist. It ranks up there with dentist (not as painful) the regular dr, and the DMV. To my 10 year old son however, it may as well be me sentencing him to hard time in Shawshank. One experience with dilated eyes when he was younger and he has forever been scarred of the eye doctor. Until this most recent visit. Nothing really out of the ordinary just really caring and efficient staff and the fantastic option for retinal imaging. The shining gem of all this though had to be Dr. Pham. She immediately put my kiddo at ease and has an extremely professional yet disarming technique that had us both laughing. To a parent, getting your kid to laugh at any dr is a huge plus cause it's one less thing you have to dread dragging them to. Did I mention all this was happening during the first few days of the COVID19 quarantine? And they still were on time and no one seemed rushed or impatient. Thank you everyone EyeTrends. Dr. Pham did an amazing job explaining everything we needed to know about our,not as young as they used to be, eyes and helped us select the vision correction that will best work with the way we live. When it came time to select a new set of frames, Julie was very helpful and patient and helped to streamline the selection process and put my wife and I in great new frames and the perfect lenses for us. She even helped me with prescription sunglasses. The office is warm and inviting and has plenty of comfortable seating. Dr. Jenkins is awesome!! My first appointment with her and she diagnosed my stigmatism and contact prescription exactly. I've spent the past three years with blurry vision because my previous Eye Doctors just couldn't seem to figure it out. Out of frustration, I decided to google to find a new doctor. So very glad I did. Dr. Jenkins also put me in a daily lens, which is the only way to go, especially in allergy-ridden Houston. I'm so disappointed with management here at Eye Trends ... considering that I had the choice to consider several other optical places in the area I chose them. I was told from day one including several calls after I paid in full that my glasses would be ready for pick up on Monday. Possibly sooner ! Since day one I also implemented the importance of needing my glasses on time. I've been patiently calling for the last couple of days trying to get status and was told numerous times Monday (today) would defiantly be the date. I called this morning was told sometime today. I just received a unprofessional call from the lab manager that it would be possibly before thanksgiving that I would get my glasses. I manage a healthcare office and would never call a patient close to the end of the day and would never allow for a patients to be misinformed. My college student is leaving for college without her glasses because Eye Trends-Cypress can't get their act together. We ordered glasses on a Monday, 2 weeks prior to her leaving the state, and now it is the day before she leaves and they will not be in on time. The lab manager tells me that the "promise day" we were given is only an estimate, not a guarantee. I called my insurance to see what I can do to cancel the order but because the lab met the 10 business day window, there is nothing they can do. The problem is that Eye Trends did not place the order until the Thursday after our date of service (order date). Despite this being the clinics fault that they are not going to arrive on time, they will not cancel the order and neither will insurance. Unacceptable! read more
