I've been going here for months and I feel like I've known them for years. My nails last longer here than most places I've been, and they are always to my liking. They don't rush, and are great at what they do. I'm also a fan of online booking for my busy and last minute schedule. They care deeply about what they do and the service they offer. I never feel like I'm being pressured to add more or do more, I'm always treated with utmost respect, and I'm remembered. They're also incredibly grateful. There's a TV with CP24 playing, it's very clean with lots of sun light, and plenty of parking.

I was looking for reviews online on google and here, and there is hardly anything available. So, I've decided to share my experiences here. Hopefully, they will be useful for someone. On Tuesday, I tried @ananekebeautysalon. I went there to get my Biogel manicure refill. They are in Yonge and Eglinton area. This place was recommended to me, and it had such good reviews on Yelp, and BlogTo. Plus, with a personal recommendation, I thought it was going to be my go-to nail salon. Maybe it's just my luck but this is not going to happen. I do not remember the name of my nail artist. Here is a list of things I didn't like. 1) She took forever to do my refill, literally over 1.5 hours. I don't do anything complicated on my hands. Usually, it's just a French manicure which I was getting this time. She kept messing up the white lines on top of the nails and redoing them. And then again. And again. And again. ‍ While I did appreciate the effort to get it right, this is the first time somebody had to redo several times half of my nails. By the end of it, I wasn't sure that the lady knew what she was doing. 2) The lady didn't file the edges of my nails properly. I didn't notice it in the salon, but I noticed it later that day when I was already on my way home. 3) She was doing such a bad job filing my nails and cut so much skin next to the nail bed on one of my fingers that it hurt for a few days. 4) On Friday, four days later, the white gel polish started chipping on several of my nails. This is ridiculous. This is biogel. It last forever and can survive alien invasion, nuclear war, and zombie apocalypse. This is the reason why I do it: biogel is the only thing that doesn't chip on my hands for three weeks. I don't know how this lady did it that it started chipping so early. Not a happy customer here. Sadly, after this experience I can not recommend this place to anybody. Please avoid it. ‍

I saw another Yelper's freehand french manicure / glitter ombre design and requested to have that done on my nails. Rebecca was a pro and took the time to make my nails and the design look perfect. The Shellac polish and design was painted just above my cuticle to maximize longevity of my nails. This is something that is hard to find at most of the nail salons that I have been to. The ladies here are all very skilled and take the time to understand your preferences. My nails ended up turning out great and I received a ton of compliments on them from my friends. The price was extremely reasonable. For such a intricate design (this took over an hour to slowly freehand) it was only $40 before tax and tip. I will definitely be back and recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a great manicure at a great price!

I WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD!!!!…read more They scammed me knowing I was from the US. My total came out to $140 CAD. I didn't know there was a difference and they conveniently didn't take credit cards. I asked if there was a difference in conversion between USD and CAD and the lady said no difference. It was my first time in Canada so I was panicking looking through my purse and wallet and got $137 in USD and she said that she'll take that cash and to come back with $3 more USD later. I thought it was an expensive pedi and gel nails (very short French tip nails no mani) for the US but just though the Canada charges more. Only to find out that she basically cheated me out of money and tipped themselves a lot. They totally took advantage of me. My fault, I guess, for thinking someone wouldn't do that. Lesson learned. Vee did my pedicure and she was super sweet and honest. When I told her I was getting dip nails for my hands, she said I didn't need to get extensions because my natural length was good. I appreciated this because it shows they're honest and don't push you to get extra. I still ended up getting the extensions because some nails were broken lol. Anyways, Vee was chatty with me and did a great job on my nails. Her technique was great. I never felt uncomfortable or any pains. I then got my dip nails done by Trinh. She was very sweet and kept making sure I was satisfied with the shape and colour of my nails. I had a ton of questions, since I never get my nails done and she was super informative. This salon is not like your typical nail salon. I defs got a different vibe here. A more classy, up-scale vibe. They care about their customers and pay attention to detail. They're all thoughtful and outgoing. The care they have for their customers show, as all the ladies that left the salon during my services were all very happy with their nails. She said she can do it no problem. The colour came out amazing, but when it came down to the two designs on my accent nails.... I'm never going back. I don't understand how this nail tech found this design to be acceptable. I told her it wasn't nice and I didn't want it but she didn't change it. She got upset and left it. I ended paying 65 dollars for this terrible nail design. I'm never going back to this salon again.
