I got a shellac manicure and regular pedicure in early October before my vacation. The overall condition of the place is a little run down but i saw some good reviews on Yelp so I went in anyways... A lady worked on my pedicure which the final product was quite nice. It did hurt a little when she was trimming my toes. While the pedicure was happening, a guy started working on my manicure and trimming my nails by just holding my hands in the air...I am not sure if this is normal but overall I was in a pretty awkward position when two persons were working on me at the same time. then the worst part the guy put the dryer lamp on my thighs while I was sitting on the massage chair which was obviously sliding around as the lady was painting my toes. The guy was holding my hands mid air to paint them the whole time... Also his nails looked really dirty and has a black rim... Needless to say my manicure was not perfect. My shellac definitely didn't last very long compared to my previous ones...in less than two weeks after the nails were done they started peeling at the end of my vacation all of my nails except the two thumbs were partly peeled away. was so disappointed...will not go back again! read more

First time at this nail bar, it was a clean space and i paid 40 for a combo with no polish was around 30 mins, wasn't busy at all maybe two or three customers when I walked in. Really shoddy work, my nails look and feel horrible. Not sure how it was filed and cut, but my toe nails hurt in the corners. I'm posting a pic of my finger nails, they never had this much skin come off. So I've had my problems here but the owners have always come through to rectify the situation. I gave them 5 stars last time because they were kind enough to give me a free service after a terrible experience. They left me sitting with some crackle off nail polish remover. (Essentially paint thinner) for AN HOUR. Even though I had an appointment and was with a friend also getting her nails done. Problem is if you're not seeing Scarlett there's no point in coming here. I've been coming here for months on end. I saw Scarlett a lot and she's great but I started seeing Dustin and he's crazy rude. He's usually pretty good at what he does but he's just got a bad attitude. He's sloppy when the owners aren't there which is the main problem. For example I've had crooked nails with him. Once I went in for a full manicure. I got no hot towel no lotion no massage nothing. I asked him if lotion was part of the service. He looked at me pointed at the lotion bottle and told me to do it myself. I was shocked. The last time I went I discreetly asked if I could see someone else but I was pawned off to Dustin again. Also their prices are ALWAYS inconsistent. I called in yesterday for a shellac polish change and removal of a few tips (some of my nails had broken before last mani) I was told $25 by the man on the phone. I was like ok $25 are you sure? I come in and another dude sits me down (also not very nice because the owners weren't there) and he goes oh it's $30. I was like what?? I was so annoyed by the flip flopping that I walked out I messaged the business via Instagram like I usually do to book appointments to let them know what happened. They said they would be in touch with the technician to get the fill story. They haven't written back yet. Will need to find a new nail spot that's more consistent :( read more

TLDR: Dieu is consistently meticulous. Will book again with him. Details: Did a walk-in with my friend on a Wednesday night, the place seemed reasonably busy (good sign?) but could accommodate our 2 shellac manicures. The shellac color choices are enormous, and they also do nail design for an extra (yet reasonable) price. This I like very much. We went for single color -- me pink, my friend black. The staff speak primarily Vietnamese, so you may want to book with someone who speaks English if you want to communicate directly with them. I had a non-English speaker work on me at first, but Scarlett had to jump in and take over when I couldn't communicate to the lady I wanted my nails trimmed as short as possible. Scarlett was very friendly and did an ok job, but did cause a mild case of bleeding on one finger while trimming cuticles, which she immediately stopped with antiseptics. She would also pause for a bit to talk to other staff or customers, which for me was a bit annoying. At the end, the color was pretty and shiny and all but there were a bit of air bubbles, and I'm a perfectionist. At this point, I would have decided not to come back despite how I'm paying much more at my current go-to nail salon. BUT!!! Scarlett caught me staring at my nails and asked if there was anything she could fix, and then asked her colleague Dieu (hope I spelled this right) who was working on my friend to help me when he was done. My friend and I both had a great experience with Dieu, as he did my friend's nails perfectly the first time and fixed all mine's flaws. My nails ended up pretty and super shiny and as if they've been done perfectly the first time. Also, Scarlett said they have 1-week warranty if anything happens to the shellac nails. I hope I won't have to use this, but for those who care -- FYI. 3 stars for the initial quality (but for the $30 it's okay -- my current salon just spoils me I guess), but 5 stars for the attentive follow-up and the fixes. I will come again, but will be sure to book with Dieu for his meticulous work on my friend and me. read more

I made an appointment here because of their high rating on google reviews. I went to get gel removal + a new set. They were very busy, but they have long hours so I was able to get a same day appointment. The process took almost two hours, which is longer than normal (no nail art, single colour). The end result was sloppy to say the least. My nails were thick and bulky. It looked like I had acrylic, when the intention of gel is to be more natural looking. My nails on one hand were also noticeably shorter than the other hand and all the shaping was uneven. But the worst was yet to come! Not even two weeks into having my set of nails, they started lifting from the cuticle end and chipping from the tip. Every time I touched my hair, it would get caught. So irritating and I ended up going to another salon within 10 days of the manicure. Overall, I would REALLY recommend paying the extra $5-$10 somewhere else. It's not worth it!!! read more

Usually, I get my nails done with Lun (not sure if this is the correct spelling) and she is always amazing. This time, I did not see her so I went with one of the new male techs. After complimenting me on my strong healthy nails, he proceeded to be so rough during the manicure that my nails, coated with 4 layers of shellac, broke the day after. Very disappointed with the experience. Now, I have removed the shellac and my natural nails are so weak that they continue to break due to how thin the tech shaved down my nails. I do not recommend this salon. During my appointment, my nail tech was busy laughing and chatting loudly with his coworkers who were seated around me instead of focusing on the manicure. read more

And for sure get that pedicure at Natural nail b, they will take good care of you and you will get a beautiful product. Natural Nail Bar is the best pedicure in Toronto to me. It is totally sanitary. None of those recirculating tubs that can trap germs. Natural Nail uses a disposable tub for each customer's feet. But you will not sacrafice luxury at all. The tub is on a pedistal that heats the water and provides a light massage. You sit in wonderfully plush reclining chair, like you were in your living room at home. Natural's staff is very friendly and alternative. We received wonderful pedicures and leg massages while we had pleasant conversation.. Scarlet even painted the designs on our toes for free. Can't recommend this place enough! I usually go to Pacific mall to get my nails done but decided to do them in downtown yesterday! Thalia did my nails and she was very attentive!! It took 1 hour just to prep my nails, which I really appreciate because normally other places will just spend 10-15 mins prepping them! This is now my go to place whenever I'm in downtown! Worst customer experience with a nail salon in Toronto. I booked my appointment online for 1pm with Kaden a day in advance. When I came in, I was told he was was studying. Hmm ok? I was asked if it's ok another lady does manicure and I said I would prefer Kaden. He came out from the back and said: can you come at 3? I said no, I have an appointment for 1pm. He tried to explain that management just sent him the schedule now and I tried to explain it is the business's problem. The first time I came here I was so happy with my nails and it lasted 25 days! So I came back here again the second time. The second time I came back, I got some help choosing my nail colour and the end product was absolutely beautiful so I tipped generously. 3 hours later, I noticed that my nail was chipping so I went back and they fixed it immediately. What I'm not happy about is that 3 days later, the top coat of my nails started peeling. I got shellac so it should AT LEAST last for a week. 45$+tips for 3 days of perfect nails.... I don't know if I'm willing to drop that much for something that only last three days next time..... This place was bizarre. Very dirty and it was just a ton of very young kids working there who had no idea what they were doing. I got a regular mani pedi and it was extremely painful. She applied the polish on so thickly and globby that even sitting to dry them for an hour they smugged right away. When applying the polish her brush strokes were all over the place, at one point even dabbing the paint on so it was extreme blotchy and all around confusing. Each nail was filed to be a completely different length and even had jagged edges. All of the towels used during the mani pedi were so filthy. I did normal polish on my toes and shellac on my hands and within a day, all the shellac started to peel off. My usual shellac lasts 3 weeks without chipping. I am very disappointed. I saw this salon when it was being built years ago and thought it was pretty. Recently I passed by and thought I'd give it a try and got dip nails done. The person did an incredible job and told me if I came back there would be no charge to remove the colour if I was getting them redone. She gave me a return customer coupon for 10% off. I returned several weeks later and got a different person. This person told me I had to pay $5 for the change of polish and was irritated that I reminded them what I was told. Throughout the person kept getting up and disappearing, talked to other people, and was so distracted that I had to point out that they forgot a nail. I actually had to ask them to do the nail they forgot. It took really long because of this. Then when I went to redeem my 10% off coupon, to my horror, they grabbed it, crumpled it up and threw it away and did not honour it. I think they think they can get you once and then you will put up with being treated like garbage. DO NOT GO HERE. read more
