Priced over double what other pool companies in area were quoting! Crazy price. People are nice but too high.

I would not recommend this company…read more We used this company for multiple paid pool-service visits after the husband/owner initially told us our pool was in good condition and recommended a pool robot and maintenance. Unfortunately, the service and communication afterward were extremely disappointing. After a May visit, our pool turned green the next day. They later added chemicals, but the pool stayed hazy and the issue never seemed fully resolved. We paid for multiple services but did not receive clear service reports showing the technician, work completed, chemicals/salt added, or a plan to correct the ongoing issues. There was also an incident while we were out of town where their pool maintenance person turned on our water hose at the pool without notifying us. We have a recording showing this. No report was provided. When my husband questioned a paid visit because the pool looked unchanged, the owner's response became hostile. Before I had ever spoken with her, she texted my husband referring to us as "you people" and calling us "horrible and disgusting people." She later told us to "find another company," accused us of treating them "like crap," called us "HORRIBLE people" and "disgusting humans," and blocked us. Update: After this review, the owner came to my home uninvited within about 15 minutes regarding a disputed bill. My home camera footage shows her standing at my window and recording inside while my 1-year-old was being changed by my nanny. She continued after being asked to stop/step away. During the same visit, footage also shows her striking/pushing a car mirror in my driveway with her hand. After we sent a no-contact message stating that any billing dispute should go through proper legal channels, the company contacted us again and threatened to put a lien on our home. This review is based on my firsthand experience, text messages, invoices, timestamps, and preserved footage. I would not hire this company again. Response to owner: The owner has also tried to minimize the service history by claiming they only came once monthly or that we were not real customers. That is not accurate based on our text history, scheduled visits, invoices, and payments. We requested and paid for multiple services over several months, including visits in May. Whether they considered us "regular service" or "one-time cleaning" customers, they accepted the work, came to the property, performed services, and billed us. My issue is that those visits were not clearly documented, the pool issues were not properly resolved, and when we questioned the service, we were insulted and treated unprofessionally. RESPONSE TO OWNER: The owner publicly claimed I have a "track record of giving small businesses 1-star reviews." That is not accurate. My Yelp profile shows only two total reviews, including a 5-star review from TWELVE YEARS ago and this review. I am documenting this because the business appears to be trying to discredit my review instead of addressing the actual service issues, messages, billing dispute, and conduct described in my firsthand experience. CLARIFICATION REGARDING THE OWNERS RESPONSE AT 10:10 PM: The owner's response focuses heavily on whether we were "regular clients," but that does not address my actual complaint. My complaint is not that we had weekly maintenance. My complaint is that we paid this company for multiple pool-service visits, received limited/no clear service reports, had inconsistent communication, and were treated unprofessionally when we questioned the service and billing. Our records show multiple invoices, multiple scheduled visits, and automated service notifications stating they were on the way to our property and that the pool had been serviced. Their own messages also acknowledge that our pool was mixed up with another customer's pool/list, that chemicals and salt were added, and that the amount was corrected because the $800 quote applied to a different pool. The first clear discussion I have in writing about biweekly maintenance/pricing came later, after we had already used them for multiple services. We also asked for their recommendation on future maintenance and asked about weekly pricing with chemicals included, but that question was not clearly answered before we were told to find another company. Whether they considered us "regular maintenance" customers or "one-time cleaning" customers, they accepted the work, came to the property, performed services, invoiced us, and communicated with us over several months. I stand by my review because it is based on my firsthand experience, invoices, text messages, service notifications, photos, and preserved documentation.

He agreed to pay another company to fix the damage his company caused then write them a bad check. Left me with cut pipes, swamp like pool, and 30k cost to repair! Aloha Pool Services - Bad tile work

DO NOT HIRE THIS FRAUD. this man met with us in October, 2023. He signed a contract in November,…read more 2023. Took a deposit check for $4400.06 in January of 2024 and then disappeared for months. Avoided all contact. He was supposed to do the job no later than March 1st, 2024. After being a NO SHOW, we were in the midst of hiring another company. Then on Easter Sunday when nobody was around he send one of his guys to demo our pool so he could say "he started the job". This person caused so much damage during the demo process we had to waste 133,000 gallons of water and hire 2 guys for a week to clean up the mess. Then he disappeared again for several weeks. After threatening legal action he finally decided to communicate again. He send 2 guys over last Friday at 3:00pm to start work. 1 of those 2 guys left for several hours. The guy that stayed on site had no ides how to cut and hang tile so he just messed around with more demo work. Then when the other guy returned he started to hang tile until about 7:00 pm. Now Saturday morning comes and the guys are back. The owner spends more time on the phone arguing with me than working. He demands more money for the same job. And he keeps referring to "our contract" ( which I'll get into later). He also demands that the job will be finished by the end of the day and he wants immediate payment. Low and behold Saturday is over, the guys are gone and the work is barely half complete. After 3 more days of fight over text to get him to return and complete the work, we had given up on him and went to inspect the work ourselves and hire another contractor. THANK GOD we did. The "work" he did was so bad it all needs to be completely removed and we need to start from the beginning. On top of that, he caused so much damage that it'll take another contractor a week to repair before they can even begin to start the tile again. His TERRIBLE WORK will cost us almost $10,000 to repair just to put us back to where we were 6 months ago. Now for the details.... we contracted this man to replace our pool tile. That's it. Remove the old tile and replace with new tile. Our pool is 380 feet of border. He charged us for 440 feet which we agreed to understanding that there are cuts and skimmers. We paid him 50% up front depot and were to pay balance upon completion. His contract included no information as far as work other than tile pool. But miraculously has numerous conditions for payment. Now this POS decides that our pool tile doesn't include depth marker tiles being replaced and if we want them replaced (even though he damaged them all) that we would have to pay extra for them. And finally to place the icing on the cake, we just found out today that the insurance papers that he presented to us at the time of contract signing were FAKE. We require a proof of insurance and a w-9 from any and all vendors and contractors. He presented us with both. However when speaking with the insurance company today regarding his damages, we were informed that his insurance lapsed on June 17, 2022 for NON PAYMENT and the Accord form he has been presenting to everyone as.proof of insurance is a FRAUD. I can't stress enough how much I want everyone to do their homework. Look this guy up. Every time he receives a complaint he responds with " we have no record of doing business with you" I bet he does it again with me. BUT I HAVE PROOF. hundreds of photos and videos. A written statement from professionals. His worthless contract, my cancelled check which he cashed and most importantly, HIS FAKE INSURANCE FORM. I warn everyone again. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN OR HIS COMPANY. HE WILL ROB YOU BLIND AND DESTROY YOUR PROPERTY. Everything stated here today is true and I'd love to share it with anyone that wants to see it. Including our wonderful Court system and our State Professional License Board.

We signed a contract with Aloha but after 4 months they were still not able to secure a permit due…read moreto their lack on knowledge of local building codes in Mt Pleasant, SC. The owner, Rob continued to blame the slow process on the city and insisted they were on top of it. We ended up having to do all of the work ourselves to have the permit approved. When we got involved and started working with the city directly we realized Aloha was waiting weeks to respond to the the city's messages and requests and were not relaying information to us. We ended up having to switch pool builders after Aloha was not able to secure the permit and dropping the ball on several other items in the planning process (wrong prices, telling us tiling, plaster etc that were included in our contract and then saying it would be additional etc). They did some extremely basic framing in our yard months before our permit was approved which made it impossible to use our yard or even mow it all spring and summer. When we got our new pool builder he told us Aloha did an awful job and that there was no reason to frame before the permit is approved. He took the framing down and said there was no way he would use that. It was so frustrating to have our yard look so bad and be unusable for months before the process even started. The framing and applying for a permit was all that they did for us. We paid a $5K deposit and when we switched pool builders we discussed the possibility of getting a portion of our deposit back. But the owner, Rob told us they had done over $6K worth work on our project (which is completely ridiculous) and of course refused to provide an itemized receipt. Yes, there prices were a bit lower than others around here and they had a very open schedule (which should have been a red flag for us but they were a newer company) but you get what you pay for so definitely beware!
