Food still good except they don't have blue crab crawl anymore. Blue crab was my favorite for this restaurant unfortunately they don't carry anymore. I got the three protein combo with polluck fish, shrimp and scallops. I have all of them blackened. The dish come with one white fish fillet, 5 shrimps and 3 sea scallops. They also accompany two sides. I got okra and green bean. Table service is acceptable. Food come out quick without much of wait. Loved it.

This place was meh. I came here on one of the last days in town and I ordered for takeout. I ended up getting the following: 2 Tails- This dish included two broiled lobster tails that came with a side of fried shrimp. The lobster was good and it came with some butter. The fried shrimp was mediocre. It also came with some hush puppies which was okay. Choose Any Three- This dish was an option of any three choices. I got their fried scallop, fried clam strips, and crab cakes. The fried scallop didn't taste fresh and were bland. The fried clam strips were very chewy. The crab cakes was bland and didn't have much flavor. This also came with fries and I got coleslaw. The fries was very soggy. Not sure if its because I got it to go. The coleslaw was not memorable. Key Lime Pie- This was my least favorite because the ratio of cream to crust. It had too much cream and barely any crust. It didn't taste like key lime and was mostly just all bland cream. It had a little tart but not much. When I came to pick up everyone was really nice that worked there. The food was already ready for me. The restaurant was pretty busy and I had to wait a little to get my food since there were a lot of people picking up.

This was honestly such a surprise! I haven't had Crystal River in at least a decade or more and I don't think I've ever had it here in Tallahassee. I came on a Monday afternoon and it was pretty full in terms of patrons. Hannah was our server and she was sweet and attentive. My blackened snapper was served on a bed of rice and I had green beans and a baked potato as my sides. They also come with two hush puppies. Everything was truly delicious. I also had an Arnold Palmer that was the perfect blend of lemonade and iced tea. I didn't have any room for dessert but definitely plan to be repeat customer very soon.

The owner decided to add the Hawaiian aesthetic to their seafood restaurant and it has been a good move so far to me. The ambiance is pretty clean with additions to their interior design. It's not exactly clean eating, but you do feel like you're eating real food and not some TVP & MSG concoction. Everything I've gotten here tastes good and comes in large portions. They have a big menu, and I like to try something new every time. The only thing I wouldn't reorder is the ribs because there just wasn't much meat. My favorite app is the spam musubi. My favorite entree is the seafood boil, but that's not something you would want to order unless you're feeding a family. For drinks, they have fountain drinks or canned "Hawaiian" options. The interior is bland but comfortable with pleasant music and clean bathrooms. Everything is served in to-go containers even if you're dining in. You can order ahead via their website but cannot pay ahead. Staff are very pleasant and helpful.

I had recently heard that this place is a Michelin notable and now I know why. Don't be fooled by the nondescript, gray exterior, the inside is adorable and cozy. Valet is complementary which is a nice touch. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Service is incredibly quick from the time you order to when you receive your meal. Food was absolutely delicious. Hubby and I ordered a few appetizers as well as the chefs tasting menu and it did not disappoint. The appetizers we chose were the charred octopus and the fire roasted oysters. Both were wonderful but the octopus was a standout. For the tasting menu, it changes daily and is 4 courses with a dessert course to round out the meal. Ours happened to include: Sausage w olive tapenade, Filet w tomato and veggie chow chow (so tasty), Duck tostada w avocado crema, Elk filet w hasselback potatoes and asparagus (show stopper), and Orange rice pudding w pistachio cookie crumble which was such a nice, light way to end the meal. One thing to note: they automatically add 18% gratuity to your bill which is split between all front of house and back of house staff. Anything you leave above this will go directly to your waiter. There is a card they leave when they drop off the bill that explains this more eloquently than I am but I found it to be unique that they openly discuss it instead of adding it to the bill with no notice or explanation.

I was DISAPPOINTED. Just DISAPPOINTED. The food was NOT good and definitely NOT New Orleans. The food was downright horrible. Despite the inside appearance, the tacky décor and signs plastered all over the place, I really wanted to like this place, and it breaks my heart to have to write this review. I ordered two dinners. The 10-piece catfish strips with fries and and the 6-piece shrimp with hushpuppies at a total cost of $16.66. It took about 15 - 20 minutes to get my order. Everything tasted like it was fried in cooking oil that was beyond its life and needed to be changed. The catfish strips were small, overcooked, dark in color, dry, and had the flavor of burnt oil / grease. The shrimps were small, overcooked, dry, and tasted like it was cooked in burnt oil / grease. The fries were soggy and just like the fish and shrimp had a burnt taste to them. The hushpuppies were the only thing that was eatable and had great flavor. I only ate 2 pieces of the horrible catfish strips, 3 small shrimps, and a couple of the hushpuppies because that's all my stomach could only tolerate. New Orleans Seafood was a total let down. This may be a locally owned and operated small business, but my goodness, have some standards when it comes to restaurant appearance and food quality.

He complained but went back to the register for our order. He seemed confused with a simple order of three gumbos, one red beans and rice? one catfish dinner? one mullet sandwich and one shrimp Poboy. He finger poked thaat iPad so much that I felt sorry for it. he did complain constantly, but said the food would be out shortly. I asked him about the size of the said they were all sizes and I said OK. He did end up charging extra for a larger one which I did not ask for and he did not let me know . He completely forgot my sister's shrimp Poboy? the gumbo was so salty none of us could eat it. The mullet and catfish were so overcooked and cornmealed that they tasted the same and were both so overcooked there was little meat left to eat. The red beans and rice were OK nothing fancy hard to screw that up. The gumbo might have tasted good except for being so salty it was inedible. Two other people came in, ordered and ate before our take out order was ready. The server was so unkind to us, complained so much about us just being there and wanting food that I believe he sabotage our food to pay us back. I can't imagine anyone being happy with the quality of food that we ended up taking back to the hospital with us. We were there with our sister whose son was in Neuro ICU. We have to go back to Tallahassee from Orlando to continue the vigil over my sister's son. I would eat at Popeyes fried chicken before I would go back to this place. oh! I almost forgot. He overcharged me for the mullet sandwich. I would post a picture of the receipt, but I don't think this review allows it.
