"Haters going to hate!" Wow, there is certainly a lot of hate for this place and it makes reading reviews almost traumatic in itself. I almost required a medic to treat my anxiety just reading the reviews prior to visiting this clinic. I have nothing bad to say about this place because the doctors, nurses & staff were nice. I visited during the worst times, a pandemic, and they managed visits as best they could and I think the check-in system works pretty darn good. For my multiple visits I checked in from my vehicle in the parking lot using the automated system and waited at worst 15-20 mins but if that's long it's only because I arrived 15 mins early for each appointment and was inside within 10 mins of my actual appointment time. Masks are required and hand sanitizer is available within the facility if needed. There's never really more than a dozen patients in the building, that I saw personally or crossed paths with. Specialists I was treated by (two of them) were both great! Nurses were great and even the staff when I inquired if I should just be seated and wait were nice in directing me. I wish more people that are satisfied with this place would share their experiences because it would have greatly reduced my stress levels prior to my visit from reading all the bad reviews. If I require major treatment in the near future, I hope my experience continues to be positive. Maybe your milage for satisfaction varies based on the specialist you need but the hand surgeon and neurologist I had seen were awesome. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at the Monroe location due to the level of customer service I received. The front desk staff needs to get retrained. Communication was poor, my concerns were not addressed in a timely manner, and I felt dismissed rather than supported. I understand healthcare environments can be busy, but patients deserve professionalism, respect, and clear communication. I come to Crystal Run only because my Endocrinologist is here otherwise I would never step foot in here again. The wait time has become ridiculous, it makes no sense that they give you an appointment but then have you waiting for 40 minutes to an hour. Some of the front office staff are rude and not helpful at all. They are now run by Optum and that seems to have made matters worse cause all of my other doctors have left this practice. Went here on Monday July 14th 2025 for a follow up appointment with Dr. Lau. The reason why i made an appointment quickly is because I needed clearance for my new hearing aids, and that audiologist suggested that I follow up with my doctor due to something. On the 7th, after my appointment, I had messaged my doctor asking for clearance for hearing aids and to investigate something called Type B. Applaud Dr. Lau for communicating effectively via the patient portal, and taking care of it right away. I went to this appointment with my mom, just so she gains a better understanding. Dr. Lau did a good job communicating with me about my past hearing test, and was able to put together the situation. He also used a microsope to look inside my ears for any fluid, and didn't find any. He also gave me all the information and prior hearing tests to back up the information. highly recommend Dr. Lau! read more

This is why is Crystal Run was awful: 1. The line to be checked in was out the door. It was like waiting in a que at the airport. 2. After 20 min. of waiting, I arrive to the front desk and they can not find my appointment. I made an appointment via Zoc Doc and showed the confirmation. Refer below for the confirmation. In addition, the front desk said that that doctor wasn't even in the building that day! 3. They wanted me to come back another day because they do not do walk-ins. I would have wasted a work sick day + all the time I wasted in waiting for the appointment date (an appointment I made months ago) + I still had a health issue. 4. The manager did find me another gynecologist in Middletown (that wait was long too) w. Dr. Anderson the same day, however, this was a 20 min. drive to a totally different location. 5. After seeing the new gyno, I/ the pharmacy has yet to receive my prescription! It's been a week! I called the generic number (845-703-6999) provided and it's a 25 min. hold waiting time! March 27th: I still have not received my prescription. After waiting the 7 business days as per policy (9 actual calendar days), my pharmacy states the prescription did not successfully go through. This was also after calling the center several times to have the prescription resent; at least 3 phone calls. I investigated further and the pharmacist states the prescription needs preauthorization. I proactively call the center again to make sure it's pushed through, and of course it is not. Apparently, the estrogen is not covered by ExpressScripts (or whatever my insurance covers) but they could have done due diligence to eliminate such a long processing time! The rep mentioned that the doctor's office called the insurance company again to see what the next estrogen would be covered; I interpreted this as they call once PER medicine. I stated to the representative to attach a note in order to eliminate the back and forth to prescribe any off-brand estrogen that my insurance covers but this should have been your standard protocol. The representative then suggested I call the insurance company and/or pharmacy to see what medicine I'm covered. Although she was being solution-oriented, why the fuck am I doing the doctor's office's job?! It should be best practice to default to the same family of medicine that IS covered instead of waiting. It's been half a month (16 days later) where I'm still waiting for estrogen. Meaning, it's taking more than half a month between the doctor's office and the insurance company to fucking figure out estrogen coverage!!! Heaven forbid that I'm not waiting for life dependent medicine or I'd probably be dead by now. Please forward and escalate my complaint to your superiors. Please let them know the interagency coordination is inadequate, embarrassing, and inferior. read more

if you are looking for a doctor stay away. i have been trying for almost a week for them to fax a prescription and still nothing. it is my trelegy and i am on an assistance program. the program needs to have the prescription hand written by a doctor. not electronically. i told them how to do it 6 times and wrote it down for them. i have called them at least 9 times and not one call back. all calls go through a call center. you cannot reach a doctor or nurse. i just moved back home after many years. i always thought crystal run in a positive way. i worked at a doctors office and know how things work. but please realize all the phone numbers you are calling, no matter what office go to a call center and you have to wait for a callback. terrible. terrible. terrible. read more

Honestly, where to even begin. Dont waste your time here. They only care about lining their pockets. God forbid you have an emergency or an insurance issue! Dr's CANNOT write letters for you describing your conditions and medications you need! Whereas a VERY few people are actually helpful the vast majority could care less. Pediatrician Dr.Sinyor is absolutely amazing in my opinion. My daughter is under his care. I can call him for any medical question and he/his staff always returns the calls promptly. And if needed they make her same day appointments. He's very caring, very knowledgeable and very thorough. Our appointments with him are never rushed. Everyone in his office is amazing and polite. Every visit the rooms have been very clean as well. Very happy to have found a great pediatrician. read more

I went in as a first time patient to see Doctor Rajana Meka and had one of the worst experiences I've had to date at Crystal run. She was very uninterested in what I had to say, and gave very snarky remarks. I explained that I previously saw doctors for a Worker's Compensation claim and I felt they did not give me the right care I needed and that's why i came to her. Instead of helping me get the right care or explore my options she defended those same doctors who did basically the same thing as her.... NOTHING. I have been to this Crystal Run Healthcare location multiple times and I would say it is my preferred spot. I actually drive further to come to this location although I am closer to another one. The staff is friendly and works hard to be of as much assistance as they can. Today I had blood work and a student there who was learning. They were very kind and friendly and kept the conversion light and fun while they took the blood. I do like my doctor's here as well and have had no issues at this location. The wait is usually minimal and even the front desk staff checks you in fast because there are many of them. read more

I went to see someone for my frequent headaches that start from behind my eye. They scheduled me for an MRI but the earliest they can do is a week and a half wait, so I arranged my schedule. I endured my headache popping pills for a week and a half only for them to CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT LESS THAN 24 HOURS BEFORE MY SCHEDULE!!!!!!! FOR NO REASON!!!! When I tried to rescheduled my appointment whoever was at the front desk was not very helpful AT ALL. Couldn't tell me why it was canceled and couldn't get me an appointment within a reasonable timeframe! I'm sorry but what if I have aneurysm and it burst because it was unchecked what will happen? I hate this place. I'm in the process of finding new doctors with the exception of my PCP who is pretty good. Again, these people do not respond on the patient portal. I like to keep my results for my records and getting them to post is like pulling teeth. A specialist I went to recently decided they'd do an HIV test on me WITHOUT MY CONSENT. Is this legal? A gyn doc earlier this year had me wait 45 minutes naked before entering the room and deciding she wouldn't run any tests despite an ER doc's orders. And the list of weirdness goes on and on. This place was not great initially but not it's completely gone downhill. The doctors are horrible and the staff is incompetent. I needed a refill. The dr office said they'd call it in. I followed up for a week. After a week off my meds I was told they didn't call in refill because I canceled an appointment for a physical ( nothing to do with my medication). My well being is not important to Crystal run. My experience is based on my very first visit/experience with this place and the doctors. This place is an utter disaster. First, they have you call from outside in your call to get register - not allowed in. But the issue is that 20 mins or more go by and no one picks up the phone, all while you are literally sitting in the parking lot missing your appointment. Finally, you go into the lobby to speak to someone, and they have the audacity to have an attitude about being "busy". Are you serious. This is your job. Nonetheless, at one point you have a large amount of people all standing outside (in the rain) annoyed that they are missing their appointments because this placed completely inefficient. Finally, I am let in to see the doctor (albeit now very late) - god forbid I had a job or another place to be... and when I meet the doctor he is truly even worse than I could have imagine. Dr Kazby (dermatologist) was rude, short and I felt like I was rushed the minute I walked in. He kept interrupting me, had the nerve to tell me that he didnt' know how my insurance approved a previous medication, provided by a NYC Derm and that he wast a fan of this medicine. Ummm.... not sure how any of this is relevant to this visit. I didn't come here so that you can bash another doctor that more than likely has ALOT more experience and better reputation than you. Frankly, the only reason I was visiting Dr Kazby was because he was close to my home. In addition,my ability to pay for a medication is frankly not any of your business nor do I care for your opinion. My visit was about me needing to start a new plan because my psoriasis worsen. But this is when it gets good- he then went to tell me that according to him my condition had not worsen. Again, not sure how this is possible if I just met you and you have no point of reference. My doctor is NYC started with topicals and then moved to pill. Dr Kazby said that he wanted to give me topical, so basically my situation is worse and you want to give me creams because you say so, or because you dont like the brand of pills given or arent a "fan". I disagree with him on "Creams" fixing this issue and he said that this was all he could do. This doctor needs to understand that patients aren't here to be TOLD what your opinion is or how you THINK they should handle their health. A doctor and patient relationship is a partnership. You dont 'speak down to people, nor is your opinion about $ and brand relevant to a visit. Nonetheless, I got up and told him I wasnt interested in being his patient. Dr Kazby you are rude and unprofessional to say the least. To the people that are considering going to this piece of garbage location, do yourself a favor and give yourself the best health care/doctor you can afford. You don't need to sit here and experience this AT ALL. Doctors are a dime a dozen and there are many, many that are great. read more

The wait time when you call in is horrific. I am currently at 19 mins and counting. All to see if I can possibly push up an MRI appointment to see if I need surgery for bicep tear (current appointment is 3 weeks out). It's nearly impossible to get somebody on the phone to make an appointment and when you do you..hope they make the correct appointment. Be prepared to have your blood drawn multiple times as well for now reason or because samples aren't sent out in a timely manner and come back inconclusive. read more

You wait forever in urgent care ER. the drs are all not the best in their field here you might have to go outside cerystal run which they do not like.. The podiatrist lady dr didnt care to test thorough enough for neuropathy. I went elsewhere found a better foot dr who determined neuropathy. I am a diabetic this is important to have it determined and conditions that come from it. Who says all drs here are great they just want you to be in the system so they can read notes and not get other faxes or notes etc form other drs as it is a mess at times for records to be found. They have no ophthalmologist here. They have one endocrinologist and she is not a private person she talks real loud so the whole hallway can hear you about your condition.. gees. It appears crystal run takes any drs here probably new ones to start out in there career but there is no discretion with this one. However the waiting rooms are nicer in the different sections so it i s more private in that way. Check in is great. many people to help or sign in the monitor. I like the fact you can make an appt in private in the room with the nurse instead of out in the front. read more

My son had an appointment with Zohra Ludmerer whom is a Physicians Asst with the practice. Zohra is amazing and really takes her time with you, she gets 5 stars! As for the woman sitting at suite 203 receptionist area on June 17th, 2020 at approximately 10:45 -11:00am, well she was extremely rude. I wish I would have been there but I understand due to this terrible virus it's not allowed. When he approached her and was asked who are you here to see he responded Dr Ludmerer..with her nasty attitude she said "Oh no she's not a Doctor so don't call her that" then she asked if he checked in...when he responded I spoke to a nurse and was told to come up....then Ms Personality put her hand up with attitude saying "Oh no that's not what I'm asking you!! I wish I had her name but I will be contacting them to find out...this is not acceptable if you don't like your job quit if your having a bad day leave early but don't take it out on your patients.If it wasn't that we like Zohra so much he would already be at a different practice.....I'm hoping you read your reviews and address this someday she might be nasty to the wrong person....... read more

Dr. Rajana Meka is the worst. I made a 5:15 appointment with my primary. I had been coughing and had difficulty breathing. The Nurse called me at 7:59 am and asked me to come in at 4pm. I said no and was told "then don't be late for your 5:15. When I got there Dr. Meka barely greeted me, refused to give me an antibiotic and was more focused on cancelling a follow up appointment I had with her. She told me she would not give me an antibiotic and I should follow up with a pulmonologist. If she had bothered to ask me she would know I had been recently exposed to people diagnosed with bronchitis since she claimed to have difficulty determining if it was viral or bacterial. Dr. Meka is petty, unprofessional & condescending. She is utterly disinterested in your health complaints & either lacks appropriate knowledge or is simply negligent. She does not return your calls nor answer your emails directly. She has her nursing staff respond to questions that should be answered by a MD without conferring with her 1st. I also reported diarrhea x 3 weeks during that visit and she told me to keep a food journal & come back in 2 weeks. I was subsequently seen by different provider who prescribed me antibiotics and told me to take probiotics which worked. I began to feel better in a matter of days. Additionally I had two appointments with the podiatrist that were both cancelled. The second time I got all the way to the office. Went up to the 3rd floor to check in and was told he was called into the hospital for an emergency. Whoever heard of a podiatrist being called in for an emergency. I thought being a patient at Crystal Run would be easy and comprehensive as they have so many specialist in one place. However I find that more often than not I an utterly disappointed and dissatisfied by the quality of care I DON'T receive. read more

Like many of the physicians in the practice and several of the new modern locations. Called for a dermatologist appt and was told my usual doctor has left practice. I could see any of a number of others but could not be seen until after October at Middletown office. That seemed insane and reinforces the negative stereotype that I hear many people use that Crystal Run is just an insurance biller, puts bottom line ahead of customer care. I never really agreed with that assessment but over the last few months am starting to seenit first hand. They can do better. read more

They should rename it Crystal RUN AWAY! Other than the walk-in clinic in Rock Hill where there are some qualified doctors who helped me with a quick fix (thus I gave a 2nd star), my experiences have been mostly negative. I was misdiagnosed by one specialist with a lesion on my kidney then practically accused of overreacting to that scary news by my primary doctor. (My aunt died of kidney failure so that was hardly an overreaction.) A pulmonologist didn't even show up for a Zoom appointment with no explanation as to why. I am also very hesitant to step foot in their facilities because twice I've seen patients being lax with masks with no direction from staff to be safe. (One stood talking to a receptionist for a lengthy time without covering her nose, and another sat next to me on the outside bench with no mask.) At this point, I'd only go to the walk-in clinic because of proximity to home. Otherwise, I'm driving to a more qualified medical facility from here on in! read more

The reason this gets 2 stars instead of one is because the account staff and nurses are great people and helpful. The doctors are where the problem lies. They consistently make patients wait 30 to 40 minutes and then when they finally arrive, it's clear you are just a number and someone to get through so they can move to the next patient. Even with an appointment you will sit and wait. I assume they are completely under staffed or they're business model is broken. Either way, I don't like to be made to feel like I am being an inconvenience when I go to a doctor. I do not recommend. read more

I had to see a doctor for a strong pain I was having and I booked an appt with them. I am 17 and as my parents weren't available that day we googled if a 17 yo can see a doctor unaccompanied and we found that the law in New York state is that as long as the parents consent to treatments minors 16-18 yo can see the doctor alone. Against the law they didn't let me see the doctor. But they made me wait 1/2 hour before telling me that. read more

Dr. Nicoll and the staff in Monroe are fantastic! When I took my daughter for an appointment she even commented on how nice everyone was - which is a huge compliment coming from a teenager! Had to go to urgent care this morning in Monroe NY. Got there at 750a and was greeted by a friendly staff at the front desk who rapidly checked me in. Urgent care opened at 8am and I was the first patient seen and treated immediately and efficiently. I was on my way to CVS to pick up a prescription that was messaged in within 25 min. Upon leaving I saw the front desk staff and complimented them on their smiles and great service. As a visitor from out of town visiting family I really was impressed using this facility. read more

I had a very positive experience here today. I was concerned when I walked in that I would be waiting on line to register for a long time since there were several people on the lengthy line, but it literally moved so fast it was if they all just disappeared before my eyes. Thank goodness they had several professional, knowledgeable staff at the counter checking people in. It was such a smooth start. There was also a staff member in the lobby who came up to me in the beginning when I looked a little lost and asked if he could help me get to the proper place. I didn't have to ask him-he was right there ready to offer service to me. So uncommon these days. The building is very nice. Everything is new and cutting edge. The clinical staff that took care of me were all excellent. I was so impressed because I didn't pick up on any burn-out or attitudes at all-just the opposite. Everyone I had contact with made my visit go smoothly -it was extraordinary customer service. Some people have said Crystal Run is understaffed, but I found just the opposite. They must have listened to patient concerns and amped up their staff and customer service. The medical care was excellent. Waited in waiting room to be seen less than 2 minutes! Was taken care of immediately when I got into the back. The staff was knowledgeable and very polite. I have no complaints at all and I have pretty high standards. The entire place was very clean too. I actually have never had a bad experience with any of my visits to Crystal Run over the years. The medical care and customer service were top notch today, and always above average in past years. My mother went here and the last time I spoke with her she said she wasn't feeling well ( figured it was a bad migraine cause she has those sometimes) when I called to find out if I should leave work or not because I work a hour and 20 min away and couldn't get in contact with her neither do I know where she was going. no doctors neither anyone I spoke to on the phone wanted to let me know anything. they basically told me its my decision to leave work or not ( I didn't even know her location or updates on anything ). even while being her daughter and the person she lives with. I thought that was horrible. I didn't want no specifics if they couldn't tell me any. I just wanted to know if it was something in which I needed to leave work and her location.
