I know I'm A dime a dozen to the person who helped me , but I'm human & wanted to ask questions .. there are excellent people that work here, but on occasion but when you get a grumpy person taking your vitals who is completely non communicative with the results -that is really strange. I used to like coming to this office until I met one of the GYN doctors Dr. Eileen Bogursky is the worst person to go visit. She does not care at all about what's going on with you she gets an attitude if you question her . I had to get my IUD replaced with her and she said she had faulty equipment and then opened up the curtain for her entire back room staff to see my legs up with no privacy. My husband was seen today by MD Yuklin Ling, who does not have good bed side manner at all. He kindly asked her about something she rambled over concerning the reason for his visit and she got a smart attitude with him and sternly told him to not to speak over her. He was not properly helped today nor diagnosed. He now will be in pain until he can get another appointment with a specialist and has no propped treatment until then, despite the fact that yes she sent him antibiotics to his pharmacy but if she had listened she would know that he already had those same antibiotics at home that have not been efficiently working to treat his eye. Don't let these doctors talk over you and tell you how they think you're feeling. You know your body better than anyone else so make sure you are heard when visiting in urgent care or just in general, especially with Yuklin Ling, who also made a side eye at me and made a rude comment upon her arrival to the patient room we were in. read more

I have always been leery about Crystal Run but being out of work for over a month now due to being hospitalized for Covid And a mini stroke due to Covid complications I had to find another neurologist as the one the hospital recommended kept pushing my appt back as far as April. So I decided to try Crystal Run last week and I was able to get an appointment for this morning. Making the appt was easy and the receptionist was very nice!!!! I recommend doing the pre registration before appt as I did mine online in advance. Saves time! I saw neurologist Dr. Florvial. She was very nice very understanding and very informative. She answered all my questions and my concerns. As You can imagine having a mini stroke is very scary especially at my age. She was able to tell me everything I needed to know and what follow up appointments I needed to make. As far as the wait, I called the number when I got there and only waited about 10-15 minutes in my car before they called and told me to come in. And yes a mask is required at all times. She is definitely someone that I will continue to see if need be so if you are looking for a great neurologist she is definitely someone I would recommend!! read more

Positives: The offices are clean and professional looking. It is nice having all of your records in one place so they can be accessed by your PCP. Doctors seem nice and polite. Negatives: Good luck trying to reach your doctor and having to wait 3-6 months for an appointment just to ask a 30 second question. The "new" patient portal is awful and doctors do not respond to questions in it. You will never have a direct number or email to your doctor's office in the plan, and instead you call a generic number where they message your doctor and the messages go into a void somewhere in the universe so you will never hear back from anyone. For a simple new prescription that your doctor erroneously didn't approve properly in their system and send to the pharmacy, you will waste hours calling repeatedly everyday and still never hear back from anyone. The company is a prime example of assembly line medical care, where the goal is to get as many people in the queue as possible without actually showing any care for the patient. Make sure to get a blood pressure medication prescription before using Crystal Run Healthcare, as you will need it before you are done with them! read more

I've been trying to get a refill on my prescription for the past week. This is the third time where I keep calling and they don't send in my prescription to my pharmacy. It's ridiculous. It's like they're playing a game with me. Why can't you just send my prescription in? It takes 7 business days, I get that. So I called a week in advance. Still nothing. So after a week goes by, I call again. They said they'll "send it in." Nothing. I call the next day. My pharmacy still gets nothing. I have to wait 30mins-1hour on the phone sometimes. In the past month and a half I've had to go to "urgent" care a few times. The first time was for an upper respiratory infection. I waited 2.5 hours in my car given a COVID, Flu and Strep test -(all negative) and another 1/2 hr in the room. I walked away with a ZPack. This time I can hardly speak, have congestion, head and tonsils sore. Once again told it will be a 2.5 hr wait. No tests this time. How is this "urgent" care? I have been a long time patient at Crystal run ( used Middletown , Newburgh location mostly) as a self-paying patient. I have had numerous occasions I requested itemized bills, they never ever provided once even after phone call and sit down meeting with a person at billing Dept. More than not, I find out they double/overcharged and I had to correct them. I had another incident just now and fed up and mad to post this review. As a self-paying patient , you ALWAYS pay in advance and see a doctor, so there should not be any pending payment unless some unexpected test was performed and which I understand. But, it is not the case multiple times . So, please check your bills before pay, You could be paying twice ...... The receptionists at the front desk always seem indifferent and kind of stand-offish toward their own patients. The quality of the doctors are give and take as some shy you away if they believe your symptoms aren't something to be concerned about. I have only met one doctor who was actually helpful and informative. However, the wait time always takes forever. What's worse is that no matter the weather outside, the temperature inside the building is always too hot. I'm practically sweating even when I take off my jacket. Don't even try to call them for help, as you will be on hold for forever with seemingly no chance of receiving a call back or a voice on the other end. I'm very disappointed, I would definitely switch medical facilities, but this is the only place that provides the care that I need. read more

I went to get an ultrasound where the order was placed from an outside provider. When my doctor tried to get the results, Crystal Run said they need to fill out a "special form" for them to get the results. Who has ever heard of a doctor being denied the results of a test they ordered? In addition, trying to get an answer on the phone was ridiculous with a wait time of over 20 minutes just to get someone to answer the phone. In addition, when I showed up for my appointment for the ultrasound, the line was out the door- literally. Then it turns out that even if you do a precheck-in, it doesn't work with the radiology department. Several other patients were sitting in the waiting room thinking they were checked in weren't. They then had to get back in line. Moreover, the patient portal is not up to date. It didn't even show my appointment or any of the results from the ultrasound. I'm sure the only thing they keep track of is how to bill patients....then I'm sure they will communicate real quick. This place is a disorganized mess. I hope for the sake of the community it gets its act together...and does so quickly. read more

I was excited when I first started going to Crystal run healthcare in Newburgh. The idea that so many doctors could be all hooked together electronically so all my records were available was something that I appreciated. But after two years the care has gone straight downhill. Prescriptions are forgotten to be forwarded, lab work, that a surgeon needs before he can perform surgery, is not forwarded, resulting in my almost missing my surgery, which by the way my primary doctor, after two years at Crystal run, had not diagnosed with cancer just a chance visit to another ENT found it right away. The days of the private physician are gone. Everything has been institutionalized, I understand that is the way the world is going, but that doesn't mean that an individual doctor cannot be a little bit more attentive. read more

Hands down the slowest and most frustrating urgent care in the area. The only thing you can count on is waiting hours for poor service.

This was my first interaction with Crystal Run. I was referred there by my primary physician for a surgery (hernia). My initial visit went really well. My surgeon was informative and certainly gained my trust. I had the surgery St Lukes Hospital and it seemed to go fine. Despite a lack of clarity about aftercare, with a call, things were straightened out and all seemed fine. Four days after the surgery, I awoke with a hard, painful lump at the incision - and a fever. At 9 AM sharp I called Crystal Run as instructed in my post operation papers. They made an emergency appointment for me at 3 o'clock. At 2:30 I got a phone call saying my appointment had been moved to 4 o'clock. At that time, I was really getting nervous about my condition but I figured I could wait. When I got to the Crystal Run front desk at 4 o'clock, I was told that the doctor wasn't there and that they had no doctors to help me. When I asked them how they were going to help me now or what they thought I should do, I was told by the administrator on duty that I should simply go someplace else. No referrals - no assistance whatsoever. So, I was on my own, at the end of the day with a medical emergency, a double cancellation and no help. I was shocked that any medical organization would actually do that and be so ill-prepared to deal with such an important situation. My only alternative was to start from scratch and find a new doctor - and with no other course of action available, headed to the emergency room. When I told the people at the emergency room what happened, they were not surprised and recommended that I always go to the ER first, if it's urgent and important. Apparently, they had heard of similar situations in the past. This is by far the most upsetting and unbelievable experience I have ever had with a healthcare provider - or in my case, non-provider. The bottom line is that this organization cannot be trusted to take care of you. I strongly recommend you find a different provider if you value your health. Addendum - Only after I published my review did Crystal Run contact me. It would seem the management (not necessarily the doctors) at Crystal Run care more about their public image then their patients. When I expressed my misgivings about rescheduling with them yet again, the person on the phone simply replied, "OK fine" and hung up. No acknowledgment of their insufficient staffing practices or the effect it had on me. Ultimately my "doctors appointment" for surgical aftercare forced me into a six hour visit to the emergency room where I was eventually instructed to go back to Crystal Run. Yes- Really. So without much of a sense of choice, and deeply worried about my well-being, I called them the next morning. They set me up with a third appointment at their Middletown branch where, I kid you not, they refused to see me when I got there and canceled my appointment for a third time in a row. I was instructed to go back to the ER in Newburgh. Realizing that this would be like jumping into a cyclone, I decided to make one last desperate phone call to Crystal Run, where I somehow got in contact with the first person to show a true sense of care toward me and my situation. She promised to advocate for me and kept her word. She got me an appointment with a surgeon within an hour. The medical business needs more people like her. After finally meeting with a very competent and articulate surgeon, (now at the 48-hour mark) I received my first actual medical care. I found out he was never contacted regarding my situation and would have gladly seen me the night before. So my second bottom line - I learned truly good people can be thwarted by truly incompetent management. I will do everything I can to stay away from Crystal Run Medical. Again, I'd recommend you do the same. So disappointing and actually frightening. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would! The staff is very rude, including some of the doctors and nurses. They ignore you when you call the office and leave a message. When they call you back they have an attitude, and one doctor even refused to speak with me about results of a test, and told me to go find another doctor in another specialty as she stated she could not help me. Even though my issues were with her specialty! Today a nurse yelled at me and out right refused to help me, she kept getting more and more angry. I've been a patient with Crystal Run for many years, with multiple providers in several disciplines. Not every doctor or staff member is perfect; they're allowed bad days like anyone else, but overall I've been very happy with my care here. My family has used urgent care in Newburgh several times and have always been satisfied. Occasionally, you wait for a bit. One very crowded day, I waited over an hour to be seen, but compared to an emergency room, a one hour wait is nothing. The providers and nurses have all been kind, even after being screamed at by neighboring patients. I guess be nice to them and they'll be nice to you? I love Dr. Fakhoury. He is a large part of why I stay with Crystal Run. Negatives: not sure why they can't hang on to dermatologists. I've had three in a three year period. On the odd occasion, I've had a negative interaction with a provider. To be expected, not every personality or philosophy will work with you. I give that provider a second and occasionally, a third chance. If I don't feel heard, I switch to another doctor. I have never had to see a provider outside of crystal run, but if I ran completely through everyone of their providers in that specialty, I would. Front staff is the only place I've had to deal with rude personnel. The check in process at Crystal Run Newburgh is laborious. Use the check in machines whenever you can. BUT, you cannot use them for urgent care or radiology. Show up early to allow for waiting in the check in line. (The machines can be broken, tho that's only happened to me once.) Regarding the check in machines: Before every appointment, I am sent an email offering to check in online, which I often use. Upon arrival, I go to the check in kiosk and have to answer many of the questions that I had already answered in the online check in form. Why the redundancy? read more
