Scheduled a Covid test with Ashley, just for peace of mind. No symptoms evident. But, taking no chances. Check-in was quick, the technician saw me promptly, took my temp and vitals, then did the nasal swab. Dr. Moscato came in shortly after and asked about my general health and well-being. I was in and out quickly and efficiently. The staff is very professional; masked, gloved, and sanitizing everything. Only a few people are allowed in the waiting area at a time. You must wear a mask. I was there years ago; it was the same then. Only you didn't need a mask. Highly recommended for non-emergency room procedures. read more

She told him she thought it was the new medication. He said impossible keep taking g it. Then he said you know I cant give you anything, like she was drug seeking. She came out of the office crying. When we went to the ph6armasist HR looked it her rash and know wax fly what it is. A lamectal rash. A dangerous side. effects of her new medication. He told her to keep on taking it. Websites states no appointments are necessary but my husband was turned away at 7pm because they told him they were only accepting online appointments and none were available the rest of the night. He's a good candidate for working with the public. I liked him. The other two (Pat, and the male receptionist), not so much. Especially, Pat, the FNP's assistant. She should NOT be working with the public. She was not friendly at all, and even bordered on just plain ole' cold and grouchy. No communication skills and not hospitable in any fashion. I'm always perplexed as to why people like her want to work with the public when clearly they don't enjoy it. The receptionist was luke-warm at best and seemed interested only in checking his cell phone. But I got in and out quickly and I got taken care of medically, speaking. Had a very frustrating experience here recently. Went in following a very rough night where I had the chills, elevated temp, tons of congestion, and just felt terrible overall. Told them I was concerned I had flu. Nurse was very rude and told me I came in too soon, it was too soon to test, nothing would show up. She told they'd still test me, including for Covid. I informed her I had recently had it a few weeks before so that seemed unlikely to be why I was sick now, but she proceeded to test me for flu and Covid (PCR) anyways, and sent me on my way. Getting results for the tests took two and a half days. I tested positive for flu after all, and frustratingly I am now outside the window to take tamiflu, which is the only reason I went in. And, I checked the CDC website and it indicated that (1) after a confirmed covid infection a PCR test could come back positive for up to 90 days, meaning the test the nurse administered was pointless once I told her I had recently had covid, and (2) you should test for flu as soon as you are symptomatic, not wait. Really disappointed in the lack of knowledge and care displayed during this visit. Was a waste of my time and provided no medical value to me. read more

Staff is friendly but this place is incredibly disorganized. While in the waiting room I was accidentally skipped over twice - which they acknowledged and they apologized about it. Then when sitting in the exam room they forgot about me in there for 50 minutes until I came out and asked what was going on. I would have taken it personally but because of the paper thin walls I could hear they forgot about the man in the exam room next to me too. Apparently the nurse didn't know we were in there she said. But even after bringing it to her attention that she forgot about me she still took another patient that came after me first! read more

As a family we have had multiple visits to this office. Only one was positive. This week was the worst. My husband went in and was treated like he wasn't even human. Was advised to go there and his own doctor could not believe the treatment he received. To call this an Urgent Care is a joke. One Dr. is nice the rest can't be bothered. The staff roll their eyes if you walk in at 6:00pm meanwhile they don't close until 8:00. They don't offer most of the advertised services. Completely rude and condescending and gossip about other patients.They take your money and do absolutely nothing but misdiagnose or dismiss you. Although this practice had a lot of COVID 19 testing appointments available the day before I made mine and returned my results in less than 48 hours, my experience with the physician during my visit was unprofessional and upsetting. the physician was voicing very political and anti vaccine statements during the entirety of my appointment, which not only made me uncomfortable but also made me upset due the very harmful false statements she was sharing about current covid 19 statistics. Also to note that this practice will only give out rapid tests to those who need them for work or school, not for exposures, which is the only reason I went to this practice. read more

Just coming back from taking my child there. She wasn't feeling well for a couple of days so I wanted to have her seen until I could get her to her primary care physician. Upon our arrival (approximately 3pm) there was a line outside with about 3-4 people ahead of us. The aforementioned line was due to a sign on the door asking that only one person enter at a time due to COVID restrictions. This was totally understandable so we got in line. After about 15 minutes, I instructed my daughter to return to the car as I could see that standing in the cold (43 degrees and windy) was not helping her condition. I remained in line with several others (2 ahead and 1 couple behind), until approximately 3:30 when the young lady at the front of the line was advised at the desk that they would not be seeing any more walk-ins. Understand, the posted hours stated that they were open until 4pm. At no point did anyone from inside the establishment come out and address those waiting in the cold. Also, had the young lady at the front of the line not informed us that we would not be seen, I would have been there longer. This all could have been avoided by simple measures. They could have simply worded their sign on the door to ask that people not enter, but instead call to be placed on a cue and called when it was their time to enter. This way presumably sick people aren't left standing in the cold. Also, the simple courtesy of a staff member walking to the door to address those in line for over a half an hour, and letting them know that the closing time had changed would have been helpful. If your door says that you close at 4pm, anyone in line by that time should have been seen, period. These are sick people not, not department store shoppers and it's unfathomable medical professionals would treat them this way. Even supermarket and department store cashiers will let you know ahead of time which will be the last customers to be seen. This was absolutely unprofessional and shows a gross lack of respect for clients and potential clients. From what I've seen of other reviews it doesn't seem that anyone cares. Awful at the front desk. 4/26 I came in for a medical visit. 5/10 I came in for the same problem; had a respiratory infection as well. The front desk clerk, male, was brusque and rude. I was a walk in, and I waited. When I finally got in, the nurse was extremely rude, pointing her finger at me from head to toe, saying, "we can't treat ALL THAT, you're coming in with the same problem. We can't help you," as if she did not want to bother taking the time to assess my symptoms! I said that it was not emergency room worthy, and I was staying put until seen by the doctor. I was livid. Everyone told me I should report her. A female doctor came in, assessed, pressed on my cheekbones which really hurt, and gave me a strong antibiotic which would take care of everything. I had a slight fever. I never received results of the lab tests, and you cannot call this place. The phone is constantly busy, 24/7. I was ok after two weeks, except for persistent asthma and wheezing. Came in again 5/15 & made appointment, where the male doctor listened to my chest and prescribed Prednisone, I was well enough to go back to work. I received a bill for 5/10 visit, two lab tests, cost denied by my insurance. Front desk or whomever sent it to the wrong entity: hospital vs. medical expenses. So I decided to have it faxed, explaining that they needed to resubmit to the proper entity for my insurance. Tried 3X, fax no. did not go through. They're open 8 am to 6 pm. So I went personally to the Fishkill location; no patients, so I went to front desk with my inquiry. Female clerk said they don't handle that, call insurance. I tried to show her the line that stated that EXCEL Urgent Care needs to resubmit lab bills to proper entity. She said no, also very rude, saying that their "business office" handles these bills, call them. I don't have a number, please give me one. She jotted down a number and Ext., slamming the stickie note on my bill. I objected to her attitude, and she said, "oh, I get yelled at every day." Hmmm, I wonder why. I was not yelling. I went home, called that number many times, different days, different times, ALWAYS a recording "We will return your call within 48 hours." I'm done. Will try again in person. Ridiculous organization. I went there in the winter of 2022, waited 2 hours only to be told that they did not have any strep tests, which is what I suspected. Went to another urgent care, waiting 5 hours in the car, where they finally assessed me and quick test confirmed Strep. Could not get meds until the next day. read more

I went to the EXCEL urgent care on Monday July 24 where this Pasquale Moscato works and explained to him that i had diarrhea for 4 days after being on a prescription given to me by my dentist for a tooth abscess on Juiy 20 I informed Mr Moscato that the medication was Clindamycin which shouldn't even be given to people over 65 (I'm 68) because it can cause C diff bacterial infection. I stated that I needed a stool sample to be tested so that he can have a diagnosis in hand. He refused saying "we don't do that here."" since he wouldn't do the stool test fe I requested FLAGYL for my intestinal infection which he refused to believe.. He ignored my request and proceeded to offer me the prescription version of IMODIUM MD (why do I know this? I used to be a pharmacy tech many years ago). He also offered me prednisone a steroid. He explained that the first medicine will "slow down your diarrhea and the second would reduce inflammation in the colon. He told me to take both and if I didn't feel better to go to the ER the following day. I couldn't believe my ears. Instead of asking that i make a follow up appoint to see him if the two meds didn't work he summarily was sending me to certain death because the last thing you want to do is "slow down" the diarrhea because the body needs to expel the toxins. Well I picked up the meds but never used them. I went to see another Dr. who complied with my request for a stool test and I was diagnosed with E COLI........... SO IF I HAD FOLLOWED MR MOSCATO'S DIRECTIONS, YES I WOULD HAVE ENDED UP IN THE HOSPITAL. I'VE BEEN ON FLAGYL SINCE TUES AND TODAY IS THURSDAY AND MY DIARRHEA HAS CEASED, NO THANKS TO DR. MOSCATO. I am seriously considering reporting Physicans Assistant Pasquale Moscato to state Health Department. Yes he is not a licensed doctor. I checked the excel website and they do provide testing for stool. When I pressed him about the stool sample he said, "even if we could do it it would take five days for a result. The other Dr. that i went to visit had my stool sample results ready for me within 24 hours of my submitting it to her... Physicians Assistant Pasquale Moscato should have his license pulled. Mr. Moscato was sending me off to my death because I dared to call the lady at the front desk "a receptionist" she took exception to it and she mimicked me to him saying "im only a receptionist:. Talk about being unprofessional. When i noticed what she told him I apologized twice to her but Physicians Assistant Moscato had other plans for me. I am unbelievably disappointed in the professionalism and integrity of this location. I had an appointment for 11:25 and waited about a half hour. When I proceeded to go in and ask the man at the front how much longer I would need to wait he said 20 to 25 minutes. After another half hour I went in and asked when I would be seen because I had an appointment and I was not a walk in and he said 30 to 35 minutes. They clearly are disorganized and do not honor appointment times. Regardless of how busy they are with walkins they need to carve out time for their patients who have an appointment time reserved. My girlfriend and I cannot STAND this urgent care. Every time we've come here the African American woman at the front desk has been rude and very short with us. No greeting when we walk in, nothing. Only an underlying attitude which probably isn't obvious to anyone else but if you're not an oblivious person you can definitely feel it. The last time my gf came here for an annual physical for our employer and she had to return multiple times to sort out one issue after the next. The doctor that handled her paperwork did not fill it out correctly which caused even more problems. And when we (mistakenly) returned recently to get seen for a skin lesion, we were turned away very abruptly when this same woman rudely stated that they don't take the Fidelis insurance we had. There's just no courtesy or kind professionalism whatsoever. We will not waste our time returning here in the future. read more

I've gone here several times over the years because I get poison ivy pretty bad at some point almost every summer. Today the "doctor" refused medical care and told me to come back and see someone else Monday if I wanted to get a shot to get rid of my poison ivy. I asked him why he wouldn't give me a shot and he said there weren't heart monitors to monitor my heart after a shot in the building. Very bizarre reason! I've received a double dose shot every year there since I moved to NY because I am so allergic. He also didn't look to see how bad the position ivy was, he stood by the exit door to the room the entire time and as he walked out said "good luck with that." horrible bedside manner!!! read more

If I could give these people zero stars I would. I called two times prior to today to verify that I could bring in my doctors prescription for a preop EKG and that they would conduct the EKG with my prescription. Verified twice, walked in to do it and the provider refused. Not only had I just sat in traffic on the Newburgh Beacon Bridge for 45 minutes but I've been running around this whole morning doing preop bloodwork, getting a Covid test and this was the final piece. Once again, a provider verified twice in the last week at this location that they would give me the EKG and I go in today, and I was refused. I definitely lost my shit on these people... But what kind of patient service is this? Where is the consistency? There was none. Zero, zilch. Then I asked if I could just come in and let them do the EKG without a prescription and just basically give me an EKG and she told me to go to the emergency room. Like talk about unhelpful. This provider was the smuggest, nastiest PA, NP, whatever the hell she is... I've ever seen in my life.Worst place ever, I will never ever return here and judging by some of these other reviews, they pretty much suck across the board. Waited in a crowded waiting room, inches away from other people I could have infected, but I had no choice - there was no facility for them to call me on my phone when it was my turn, or I would have waited outside or in my car. Had the test done, and a week later still haven't had the result. I tried calling to get the results and, unbelievably I get an automated voice that says "We are sorry you are having trouble. By far one of the best places to go for emergency medical attention. This is our second time coming here and our second time seeing Barry Kamen, RPA. First let me just say this... It is most unfortunate Barry Kamen cannot be my wife's primary care physician. He is absolutely the best and kindest in the area. Today's episode... The battle with the handy meat slicer...sadly, the meat slicer won and she wound up needing 6 stitches. Barry Kamen to the rescue! We arrived at the walk-in center at about 2:15 pm and were greeted by the lovely front desk staff. Within 15 minutes she was seen by Barry Kamen who promptly stitched up her finger with humor. Impeccable humor one needs when one is bleeding all over the place. Seriously, this man has a way of calming even the most neurotic of wives (me). All in all, the entire visit with six stitches took less than an hour. Thank you Excell Urgent Care! While we hope to never see you again, should this be necessary, we are happy to know you are in our neighborhood. read more

For non-emergency room situations, this place is perfect. For people who don't have a primary care physician in the area, or if you don't feel like waiting for an appointment with one, this place is also perfect. First, no appointments are necessary. You go to their website and enter all of your information online, including a brief description of the issue. You don't have to do this, but I highly recommend it as it will streamline the process. Once arriving, I was asked for my insurance card and driver's license. I did not have to fill out ANY paperwork (likely because I entered all of it online), and I was seen by the physician within 5 minutes. He quickly diagnosed me and wrote me a prescription. No joke, I was in and out of the place in roughly 10 minutes. Furthermore, the whole thing cost me NOTHING. They claim to take all types of insurance. I asked as I walked out if I was all set, and I was quickly and kindly told to have a nice day. Swift, outstanding service. Hopefully I won't need to be back soon, but if there's ever an issue, this is the first place I'll try! read more

I took my wife here after she began having pains in her side following a very bad cold. As it was tough getting an immediate appointment with the doctors in our insurance plan and we didn't think it rose to the level of an emergency, we decided to try Urgent Care of Fishkill as they were in our plan. It turned out to be a very frustrating mistake. Our impression upon arrival was that it wasn't professionally run. Not only was there a TV blaring in the waiting room, music from a radio station was also being pumped in on top of it, as if they were in competition. The receptionist and the nurse at the front desk, never bothered to acknowledge there was a patient present until they finished their conversation about their personal life. When they finally turned their attention to my wife, the receptionist appeared annoyed when giving my wife the obligatory paperwork. With the blaring TV and radio it was extremely difficult to concentrate to even. fill them out. When the "nurse" came out to bring her in, she also wasn't very welcoming. Instead of weighing my wife she asked her weight. OK - that's not so bad. But then she ASKED her what her blood pressure normally was. The blood oxygen sensor appeared to not be working to the "nurse's" satisfaction so who knows if any meaningful information came of that. I mean the scale and blood pressure cuff was there. Why not use them. There were no other patients there at the time so what was the rush? When the "doctor" came in he came off as being extremely uninterested and aloof. After asking about her symptoms and what she thought the problem might be (broken rib(s) from coughing), he asked where the pain was. He then barely touched her back with one finger and said, "Yeah, that's probably what it is". When my wife asked how he knew that for sure without an X-ray, he said that she could go for one if she wanted to but he was pretty sure that's what it was. It wasn't what he said but how he said it - in a condescending tone. His listening to her lungs with his stethoscope was simply going through the motions. Each time the instrument touched down it was whisked away as fast as it had landed. She couldn't even begin to breathe in that span so what was the point of the excercise? It seemed like he couldn't wait to get her out of there. Later that day my wife spoke with her mother and before she got out all of the details, my mother-in-law said, "Oh My, I hope you didn't go to Urgent Care of Fishkill". She then went on to describe the very same scene during her visit some months before, describing their attitude and lack of professionalism as if she had been right there with us. If a future reader should go there in spite of this review I'd be interested to hear of their experience. read more

My wife went to Excel Urgent Care of Fishkill on 10/8 for a Covid test because of an outbreak at work and symptoms (cough and fever). The urgent care's website at the time said you would get your Covid results in less than two days (Now says up to seven). On 10/14, the NYS Dept. of Health (DOH) contacted my wife and informed her of the positive test results. My wife called Excel Urgent Care and explained the NYS DOH called and she'd like to obtain a copy of the results for work and they said they haven't received them yet. They explained that their system was backed up and they were not yet available. She received a call, two days later, on 10/14 from Excel with the results. NYS DOH has called my wife about every 2-3 days to check on her. After she explained she had a fever and other symptoms for the past 9 days they urged her to go see a doctor to get checked for pneumonia or other underlying conditions. We called Excel and explained all this to them and they said that the doctor would see her and that she should go online and schedule the appointment on the website. We did so. When we arrived 5 minutes before the appointment time, we called Excel and explained the situation again. They said to stay in the car and they would call when they were ready. After 45 minutes in the car and 40 minutes after our scheduled time, we received a call from Excel stating that they were too busy and that the practitioner didn't want us to come inside to protect the health of other patients and providers. I flipped out on the woman on the phone explaining that we called ahead of time and when we arrived explaining the situation and she completely agreed saying nobody told her the situation. I told her that is communication issue with your business and not our fault and then she hung up on me mid sentence. Very professional! During our 45 minutes in the car we saw several people obviously going in to get tested with symptoms. The car parked next to us was a man coughing his head off and he did indeed get his call and go inside. So it's ok to take in probable patients for a test but not a person that was tested in your facility and came back positive? It's just not right. My wife feels horrible and Excel made us drive to their facility and sit in the car for 45 minutes just to deny treatment after they said they would provide it. I will tell everyone how HORRIBLE Excel in Fishkill has been through this whole process and we will obviously never go there again. We're just trying to stop the next patient needing care from getting the run around like we did. read more
