I switched to this nail salon to do the fills on my acryllic nails. The owners, Tony and Tina run a clean and professional environment. The quality of my nails are much better at this salon than my previous one. The nails are natural looking and well shaped. The PREVIOUS salon made them very thick and had lots of bubbles in the acryllic, and they hurt me when using the electric file to the point of pain for a couple of days afterward. Paradise on the other hand did NONE of those things. I never have to wait long, and the service is always above and beyond. Prices are competitive. read more

I have had Ken do my feet for the past 3 years since I lived in Plano, TX and I'm actually in the process of relocating back to Houston, but this is one place I will surely miss. First and last time I ever go here. My friend and I made appointments for dip powder manicures for 5:00 pm yet weren't helped until 5:30. Already not off to a great start, my nail technician accidentally hit my head with a ring light while trying to set it up. I don't recall her apologizing. She then started doing my nails, without any of the usual services that are included with a manicure (soaking the nails, oil/lotion on the hands, clipping the cuticles). She just filed them a bit and began adding the powder. When she told me my nails would be $70 I was horrified, but not wanting to ruin the plans my friend had set up, said it was fine. I got the basic "natural nail acrylic" color with brown gel on the end like a French tip. My friend wanted some fun Halloween nails, and specifically said she just wanted it on her natural nails. While we were chatting distractedly, her nail tech began gluing on fake nails, then charged her $90 for them! We later called to ask for a breakdown of the pricing and didn't get a straight answer. We were told the manager will call us back. We never got a call back. Our nails were cute, but surely not worth $70 or $90. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to get your nails done. read more

I went to paradise nails (not my normal place) because I was in the area; they quoted me a certain price for my nails however when I went to check out they upped the amount due by $5 for removal of my gel since I didn't have them done there! They just added a make-up amount because they could. I will not be back. read more

The nail techs are nice and friendly but the one I had for my manicure did her job half-heartedly. The top coat was uneven and my index finger nails were filed too flat. The same nail tech lady did the check out. Her language barrier seems like a major issue. I had obviously told her that I will pay for both me and my friend. However, she charged me once then realizing she got it wrong, she proceeded to do another payment. Little did she know American Express cards have a fraud protection program that disable charging for the same exact thing twice. It was only when her boss/the owner came that they worked it out. I've been getting my nails done here for over 12 years and though I've tried others when I'm in a rush and don't make it in I've always came back because I can sit, relax and unwind to Quality Service. My experiences here have always been on point and when I've had a slight concern (because let's face it we're all human and have our down days) the management has gone above and beyond to correct the situation. I had no idea where I was when I rolled up to this nail salon, but I had time to kill and this salon is right next to a Starbucks, so I stopped in. My pedicure was freaking awesome. I am from DC, so I'm not sure about how competitive their pricing is, but I felt it was fair especially for the service. My nail tech pulled out new sterile tools and gave me a little menu to choose from. I picked out the level of pedicure I wanted and also picked out the fragrance of product for her to use. I haven't seen that before but I really like the concept. The nail tech didn't pressure me into a ton of different services and was sweet. I have been to this place a couple times and always get a basic manicure but somehow it always seems to fall off within a day. This last time I went and got a pedicure and the salon lady convinced me to upgrade to a sports pedicure to remove my calluses on my feet but then did not remove a thing. To top it all off she had cut off the sides of my big toe nails and I couldn't walk on them for a week and had to go to a doctor for a antibiotic to heal what she had done. read more

Stopped here to get a pedicure and couldn't be happier. They sat us immediately. The price for what we got was really great at only 29 for a basic pedi. They massage your legs, wrap them in hot towels, and use scented scrubs. I would def go back, super friendly staff! read more

Went by Paradise nails to get a routine french-tip manicure.. unfortunately the woman who assisted me didn't speak English so what I thought was reassurance, she was pretty much doing her own thing.. my french tip was 3cm thick & I wanted them thin to match my nail type. Worst place ever! Terrible customer service!!! If your nail breaks off two days after getting them done, they will gripe about having to fix them for you!!! I told Tina I don't work very much so it's not like I'm hard on my hands, and she told me that I'm obviously too broke to get my nails done! What the hell! I've never had such terrible customer service. I'm never one for leaving bad reviews but I just couldn't understand why any place that provides a service would treat any customer this way! Christine gives the best pedicures here and is such a lovely person! They have a good color selection and friendly staff. Tina does a great job at the gel powder but is pretty booked (at least at the times I usually want to go, which in fairness is pretty last minute). Henry was the one who did my nails, but he did not finish them for me. Tina ended up having to fix his sloppy work for me after he became frustrated with me when I told him it didn't look right. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL, TREATS CUSTOMERS HORRIBLY - - 2010-04-30 This salon is awful. They took over 2 hours to do a manicure/pedicure for me and a friend. The massage was decent, and they were friendly. HOWEVER within minutes of painting my friends nails, the polish started to bubble. She did a light pink, I did a coral pink. They do not take good care of the polish, and they glop it on, so it bubbles. After we noticed hers, we started watching mine and sure enough it started to bubble. Mine was not too bad at first, so I didn't ask them to change it. Hers continued to get worse so she asked them to redo hers, and they did it with a different color. This is now THREE different colors. On the drive home, both of our nails continued to bubble. Within hours of leaving it looked like we had touched each nail on sandpaper. I went in to request a refund, or even HALF of a refund, not including gratuity. I paid 35, tipped 7. I told the guy I would even accept half of the 35, 17.50. Tony Nguyen is the owner. He told me no refunds, he would re do the polish only. He would not listen, he yelled at me, told me he didn't need this crap. Finally, after a regular that was there told him that she agreed with me that he should process a refund, he agreed to give me a refund, and called his wife to ask how. I could hear her yelling into the phone (he was standing beside me and didn't even try to conceal her voice) that I did not get a refund, several times yelling "F*&@ HER", he hung up and told me no refund. He gets off the phone, continuing to be rude to me, saying he just wanted to relax today and doesn't need this crap. I told him that I heard his wife say "F HER" and he said he can't control his wife. Finally, tired and frustrated, I told him I would settle for a product. I left with a $29 set of Matrix Shampoo, still a $12 loss on my part. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT SALON AGAIN AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT read more

I've been here twice so far. The first time I just got a manicure with polish, which was $15. (I wanted neater looking nails because I had a job interview the next day.) They had the right price, got to me quickly even though I just walked in, and it wasn't very posh - which would have made me uncomfortable. The technicians were all exclusively Asian-American or of that descent and all spoke a language which I can't place (because I can't differentiate between non-romantic or germanic languages). That was a little awkward, but I had no sense that they were doing it to exclude me, and it didn't feel rude. The second time I got a full set of acrylic nails - which took longer that I thought it would, knowing nothing about nails - which was $40. They got me right in to sit down even though I just sort of showed up again this time, offered me refreshments, and the tech this time was very sweet. She asked me several times as she did my nails if I was happy with the shape, etc. and again before I paid if I was happy with how they looked. To me, that is priceless - seeing she cared whether or not I was happy with the service and the results. I'd definitely go back again. read more
