It is very easy to give a 5 Star Reviews to Restorative Massages and Wellness, LLC. thanks to two…read moreoutstanding massage therapists, Steve and Sharmese. Steve is fantastic! Best massage I have ever had and I highly recommend to everyone! Steve is clearly #1, and Sharmese is a close second. Both Steve and Sharmese are very experienced and spend the time with you to understand any issues before you get a massage. They are truly amazing! The space is crystal clean, welcoming, and comfortable and every precaution taken. I have never had any issue about safety. Both Steve and Sharmese's approach is warm, kind, and compassionate and they take the time and each has extensive expertise to understand and meet each client's needs and goals. The massage is always outstanding ... their skill is incredible! It was immensely therapeutic for me as it helped me greatly reduce my stress and relax deeply, as well as decrease my neck and back pain and increase my flexibility. I would strongly recommend both Steve and Sharmese at Restorative Massage and Wellness. Steve is a thoughtful, dedicated therapist that provides personalized treatment to his clients. He draws from a wealth of knowledge and experience along with completing the full doctorate program in physical therapy so Steve is beyond masseuse trained. I would highly recommend Steve to friends and family. I am regularly booked with Steve and find out well in advance if he is on vacation so I can book Sharmese as a backup. The desk staff is also excellent in working to get you in, if there are no openings, and you are waiting for a cancellation. True professional staff all around! I met Isaac my first time here who is the owner and a licensed trained masseuse too. Isaac treats the staff professionally because he truly understands what it takes to be #1 in this field! Parking on Washington Street is free, and if you cannot find a space, the side street has plenty of spaces as a backup.

I take no pleasure in writing this review, but I feel it is my civic duty to warn future customers…read moreabout what can only be described as the massage from hell. Consider this your public service announcement: enter at your own risk. I booked a 60-minute full-body massage at this small spa, hoping for a relaxing escape. Instead, what I received was a chaotic, oil-drenched attack on my body that I may never fully recover from. Let's start with the first warning sign: as I entered the room, I spotted a floss pick just chilling on the couch (yes, you read that right). It was as if the universe was telling me, "Run, don't walk." I stayed. Foolish me. The woman who checked me in, who I will refer to as "the attacker," led me to the room and told me to get ready. I should've known things were about to go sideways when she came back in and asked if I had booked 60 or 90 minutes. Why didn't she know? Was she just winging it? Oh, she was. Spoiler alert: that was the least bizarre part of the entire experience. She covered me with a towel -- not the usual drape, mind you, but laid it over me vertically like she was tucking in a small burrito (I am a person, not a taquito, thank you very much). Then, for reasons I still cannot comprehend, she began "massaging" me through the towel. For ten long minutes. I began to wonder if maybe she thought I had a layer of dirt she didn't want to touch. But then came the oil. Oh, the oil. Not a normal amount -- no, she practically baptized me in it. I was now a human slip-and-slide. She started with these fast, frantic movements that I can only describe as if she were trying to roll out pizza dough -- except that dough was me. Imagine a rolling pin, but instead of wood, it's her forearms, and instead of dough, it's your back... and she's using the speed of a Formula 1 pit crew. I was terrified she was going to keep going until I was a flat, thin disc of a human. It got worse. At one point, without any warning, she yanked down my underwear. I've had plenty of massages in my life, and never once has someone felt the need to roll down my undies. My butt was out. Exposed. Like it was some kind of casual Tuesday event. The technique (if we can call it that) was just as aggressive as before. She switched to what I assume was her version of "working out knots," but it felt more like she was trying to put out a small fire on my back. She was speed-rubbing as though she had double-parked outside and needed to finish before she got towed. I thought maybe, just maybe, she'd chill out when she got to my arms and legs. Reader, she did not. The same crazed up-and-down rubbing, dousing me in even more oil like I was some kind of Thanksgiving turkey. And then, in a completely nonsensical move, she grabbed my arm and just started shaking it. Like a maraca. What? Why? Was she summoning spirits? The leg portion followed the same nightmarish pattern: no draping, no care. Just speed-shaking my legs around like she was trying to reset my bones. At one point, she bent my leg at a 90-degree angle and wiggled it like she was testing a car jack. The only saving grace in this circus? The hot stones she left on my back. Because at least they were inanimate and knew what they were doing. But the grand finale? The towel rubdown. Remember how she bathed me in oil? Well, she now scrubbed it off with the force of someone grating cheese. My skin felt like it was melting. I went from an oily human slip-and-slide to a block of cheese at an Italian restaurant, and I was ready to scream, "Check, please!" Oh, and just when I thought I'd suffered enough, she forgot entirely about my quads. Not that I wanted her to touch them after what I'd been through, but the fact that she skipped a whole part of my body just left me wondering what kind of fever dream this entire massage was. Let's not forget the side details: her hair brushing against me (which, let's be honest, added a horror-movie element), her disappearing from the room twice (for mysterious reasons), and the total lack of music or relaxing scents. It was just me, the bright lights, and the distant sound of muffled hallway music, which did nothing to drown out my internal screams. Should I have said something? Probably. Will I ever return? Absolutely not. Do I recommend this place? Only if you're looking for a story to laugh about with your friends -- because this wasn't a massage; it was a full-blown assault. Save your body, your dignity, and your money. Go elsewhere.

Don't listen to the horrific reviews here. If you want to get pampered, go somewhere else. If you…read morewant your body to heal, this is for you. Great massages, every single time. I will not go anywhere else.

Today, my boyfriend and I visited MG Spa for a couples head spa, and we had the worst experience…read more We will absolutely not be returning. I emailed the spa over a month ago to book the appointment and specifically asked whether they had couples rooms where we could receive the service together. They confirmed that they did and asked what day and time we wanted to come in. I provided a date and preferred time, and they confirmed the appointment. When we arrived today, we were brought into the spa's half-finished basement, where a woman immediately directed my boyfriend into a room with only one bed. I stopped her and explained that we had booked a couples appointment. She told me that another couple had arrived earlier and taken the couples room, and that they only had one couples room available. I explained that our email correspondence clearly showed that we had reserved the couples room over a month ago, so it was unacceptable that they had scheduled another appointment in that room during our reserved time. After going back and forth with her, I eventually gave up because there was nothing else that could be done. We were placed in separate rooms. Throughout the entire interaction, she was rude, dismissive, and offered no apology. The head spa service itself was just as disappointing. The woman who performed my treatment was extremely aggressive, and the experience was not relaxing at all. The entire setup felt cheap and unsanitary. I genuinely did not enjoy any part of the service. At the end of the treatment, I was brought into the hallway for a blow-dry. While my hair was being dried, the same woman who had originally brought us downstairs approached me and told me that next time I needed to make sure I requested the couples room when making my reservation. I told her that I had done exactly that and that our entire email conversation was centered around booking the couples room. I explained that it was not my fault that they chose to schedule someone else in that room despite having already confirmed our reservation. At that point, she became extremely rude and essentially blamed the entire situation on me. After my partially completed blow-dry, we went to pay. While explaining the total cost, the employee repeatedly asked how much I wanted to leave as a tip once I mentioned I was paying by card. First of all, it is highly inappropriate to ask a customer for a tip, and secondly, I had actually planned to tip in cash. I seriously considered leaving no tip at all, but I still ended up tipping $10 to each woman. At no point did anyone attempt to resolve the situation, take responsibility, or offer any form of apology or accommodation. Instead, they made the experience even worse through their rude behavior and by repeatedly blaming me for their mistake. I will never return and would not recommend this spa to anyone.

It shares a space with a dentist office and is on the lower level with the front door on the left lower side of a 60s style split level building. The inside is nicely decorated and freshly painted. There are minimal decorations, which I appreciate because that helps me relax. The bathrooms are more recently renovated. The staff was very nice to me when I arrived and assured me, I would not wait very long. I needed to use the bathroom before my treatment and I was pleased to see several amenities, including tampons for those of us who still bleed. I was brought into my treatment room by the front desk coordinator person who's maybe a manager? She talked to me about what to expect during my treatment and took before photos. My treatment provider Dana was so sweet. She checked in on me and we chatted about life during my 45 minute treatment. The treatment felt like an intense mechanical massage but at no point did it hurt. It was almost tickly sometimes. I needed to pee again immediately after my treatment. Endermologie gets the lymphatic system moving, and I was shedding a ton of water immediately. This morning I woke up and weighed myself, and I had lost 5 pounds of water weight! I will definitely return to the spa for the same treatment, and maybe some others that they offer. This would be a great treatment for somebody before a big event when they are looking to shed some extra water weight. Like perhaps a wedding or other event where there will be lots of photos and videos.

I was late, (due to a car accident on the pike) but they still accepted me and I appreciate that. However, before today I had 3 prior treatments. None like today, if this is a standard practice across board how was my shortened time and different technician make me feel like I've been missing out? Though not many times the times I did go ive had the same technician till today so I wasn't sure what to expect. Olivia got it in today which makes me feel like either I've been getting cheated or she is just that exceptional. This was Def the best treatment. I felt great after, it felt effective and even during treatment I could tell a difference. That is literally the 1st time I have received these results. This makes me more enthusiastic for the future. Ive had to miss a few appointments because life happens and they presechedule you in advance. If you cannot make it, they will not reschedule you for that week. I am not sure if they are just charging me cancelation or going to add the days I called out to the end. That is just the one thing, I encourage to ask prior to paying for the full 12 weeks.
