l've been going to Christine's for nearly a year doing electrolysis treatment and other pampering services. Anji, Samantha, and Natalia specifically are my girls but I have never seen this spa have a slow day so I know all the staff have their talents! Maddie at the front desk is super nice and always accommodating. I have had every snafu pop up and they've always been nice about adapting to my rescheduling needs and constant changes. What a lovely find. I had a Diamond Radiance facial with Lana this afternoon and it was wonderful. Having moved to JP mid-pandemic, I am just now starting to find some new places to frequent and I'm really glad I found Christine's. My facial was incredibly comprehensive and I left with my skin feeling amazing. The Diamond Radiance includes exfoliation, a mild chemical peel, extraction, and lots of moisturizers and serums. And while your mask sits, you get a wonderful massage (vs the esthetician leaving the room). Arrive a few minute early to secure street parking, which is likely your best bet. Highly recommended! I waited for 10 minutes for my appointment after showing up on time. I then paid around $40 for the worst gel manicure and another $40 for a terrible pedicure. Would not recommend getting your nails done here. I have been here in the past and enjoyed a facial and specific wax services so I won't act like this was my only experience here. read more

This review is not of a specific service but of the management/ownership. We accidentally bought a gift card to this salon, which has almost the same name as another salon closer to our home. It was completely our mistake and any other business probably would have told us that all sales are final and that we're out of luck. I really thought that we'd be stuck with a gift card that we couldn't use, as getting to Newton would be difficult for us. When we called the salon and explained the situation, and they were incredibly understanding and helped us sort everything out. I was totally blown away by their willingness to help. It's very easy to book an appointment and the salon is very clean and easy to find. Parking in Piccadilly Square is pretty full but you can definitely find a spot on week days. There's hand sanitizer and temperature check at front desk. The only two person I interacted with were the front desk lady and my aesthetician. It's an overall very comfortable safe and private experience. I tried the standard hydra facial. The aesthetician did manual extraction for me at the end. I feel very clean and unclogged. read more

My friend and I were able to book appointments same day for a couple facials. We weren't sure what kind we should get, as there are many to choose from, but our estheticians' expertise personalized our facials to what we needed. Jessica did an amazing job. I got an oxygenating facial which was perfect for my problematic skin. The experience was relaxing but also informative, Jessica told me what she was doing every step of the way. She also educated me on how to care for my skin moving forward, and I booked a chemical peel for the very next week! I look forward to coming back again and again to improve my skin, and i trust her to do just that. I'll start by saying I'm a spa rat! I'm never afraid to treat myself. I live in the South End -- but every few weeks I happily escape the city to visit Brooke at Christine's Day Spa! It's almost a year since I've been seeing her and my skin has made a DRAMATIC change! I used to be very badly broken out, I had no idea what to put on it to make it look clear, while also preventing anti-aging. Between hydrafacials, peels, laser, and great products...I'm so proud of how clean, clear, and youthful my skin looks. I've also done my lashes and hair removal with Brooke. I really like Christine's and feel like it's the "best in class" that I've seen in Boston for the type of spa that it is--they have every typical spa service, plus really great electrolysis which I've been getting with Christine, the owner, for awhile. I like that with my hectic schedule I can call anytime and know that whichever professional is available will be excellent. I would say that I have found individual waxers/aestheticians elsewhere that I have really liked, but never a whole spa that was of such consistently excellent quality. I think overall I've been going here for about 8 years at this point. Some services/people I've liked more than others, but I have yet to have a horror story from here, and I have an array from other spas. read more

Wow, I am so happy that I found my new favorite spa! I was searching for a spa on Yelp this past week, I needed to get a facial. I found this spa and saw the awesome reviews. I emailed Christine's and she responded within an hour. She emailed me back and scheduled a time for me to come in. They have super convenient hours! I booked a time for 9 am. I was scheduled with Sarah W. Sarah helped me decide which facial to get, which ended up being their Vitamin C facial. It was a great decision! Sarah did such a great job, I highly recommend her. We did extractions on my face, the areas calmed down within a few hours. My skin looks amazing just a day after my appointment. I've been going to Christine's for a over a year. My mom, who has the world's most sensitive skin in the world, raved about their facials. I normally am a massage girl, I'm not a big fan of facials. Or, I should say, I was NOT a big fan of facials until I came here. Now I look forward to them! I got an email for a special last August, it was for a facial and a half hour massage. I had met Nancy before for facials, but for the massage, I had LJ. She was as fabulous as Nancy is for facials. She dug in places that needed it (yes, I wanted to cry but I knew I'd feel better after). She also went WAY beyond the half hour. She's an absolute sweetheart. My facial with Nancy was just as amazing. Even though it was a special deal, I didn't feel rushed or "discounted". I felt like a goo ball when I left (in a good way, I wasn't actually gooey). This year, I'm pregnant, and LJ and Nancy have continued their amazing streak at making me feel relaxed and comfortable. My skin, thankfully, has been very cooperative during this pregnancy. Nancy just makes it glow and takes away any redness. Because of pregnancy, the extractions are not deep, and that's just fine by me. I don't want to leave feeling or looking worse than when I went in! LJ and her pre natal massage....ahhhh, bliss! Totally recommend to any pregnant woman who needs relief in areas that get hit hard by pregnancy. I've never had lower back or hip problems til I got pregnant. I'm 6 weeks away from giving birth, and I cannot tell you how bad my hips and back are. LJ's massages don't just give relief during the massage, they actually LAST. I get relief for more than a week. Glowing skin and relaxed muscles? I'll take it! The spa is a little pricey, but I've learned you pay for what you get. If you want a discount facial, sign up for their email blasts. Your facial won't be cheap, but you'll be very happy!! Nancy has also done my brows and my mom's brows. My mom has to drive almost 35 minutes to get her brows done, and they look amazing. Mine look great too (just with pre natal vitamins, they grow like weeds). There's one downside, and that's parking. There is a public lot across the street with meters. Feed the meter or you'll get a ticket. If you note the # of the meter and tell the staff at Christine's they'll run out and feed it if you give them quarters. I have been getting massages for over 30 years, and it is hard to find someone who is not only talented but knowledgeable. LJ is trained in pain management and is amazing at finding just 'the right' spot that needs to be worked on. She is fabulous! read more

I've been going to Christine's for about 10 years. Christine is fantastic and works really hard to find skilled massage therapists and estheticians-I feel like whomever I end up seeing, I know they'll be great. I am very glad that the nail salon has been folded back into the spa these days-so much better than a couple of years back. When I take an unexpected day off this is my "local" salon. I have had body massages, facials and eyebrow waxing here. I think I once did both in the same day - one of their mini packages. One of the folks here diagnosed my rosacea, and the salon referred me to a local dermatologist. They are busy, so I can't always get in "spontaneously" which is my typical m.o., but at least half of the time I can get a last minute appointment. I have had only good experiences here, and can tell that it is a comfortable local spot for folks who indulge more regularly than I do. read more

I had my first massage at Christine's with Dionysia last week and I couldn't recommend it more. Dionysia was not only friendly but made sure to ask questions before we began to help her figure out just what my body needed. She even used hot stones, which is always extra relaxing. I left feeling amazing. The location is a short walk to the Green Line Newton Centre Station, making it super convenient. The Spa itself was clean and welcoming, though my massage room was overly air conditioned. Dionysia did her best to correct for this, by using the heating pad on the table, though there was still a chill to the room. Also, I'm not sure if I just arrived during a shift change, but no one was at the front desk when I entered the spa. Fortunately, I did not have to wait long for someone to come greet me. Unfortunately, she gave me the required paperwork for a first time customer, informed Dionysia I arrived, and then just left the Spa. No asking if I needed anything or informing me where the restrooms are, which is what I've typically experienced when arriving at a spa. Overall, I will be going back and I've already recommended it to friends in the area. read more

I had a day off and decided to try a few trubates/groupon specials. Unfortunately my experience prior to arriving at Christine's (hair cut..) wasn't a very positive one but they definitely changed that all around. I believe my esthetician's name was Irina and she was super sweet. The promotional pricing was great but I am not sure I would consider paying the full price. The facial was nice and relaxing but I feel like other salons do more extraction which was my primary concern. I'll definitely keep an eye out for more specials so that I can learn more about this place! read more

Rachel does a fantastic job on pedicures and brow waxing, you won't find better.
