Vintage, gifts, clothing, and pet boutique. All of them Top Notch. Steady occasions here for festivals and celebrations as well. Just a great place to spend the day with friends or a romantic date. If you haven't spent a day in Avondale, do yourself a favor and check it out. If you're from Jacksonville, you know, but it's one of the hidden gems of Florida.

Not a big deal for me as I am 46. I went to this mall to eat at a restaurant at the food court. It's an average sized mall (1 story) with your typical stores. I didn't visit any of the anchor stores, but I did go to Bath and Body Works to get a hand soap. The food court area was nicely sized and looked clean. When I went on a Saturday, the crowd looked fine and I didn't see any rowdyness. The mall is still alive and doing fine. This is a still a decent mall in Jacksonville. Overall: B

Wilson Square was unremarkable with a horrible parking lot. Dodging the potholes could have been made into a game. Well, what has happened recently to make it noteworthy and deserving of 4 whole Yelpie stars? A Walmart Neighborhood Market just opened there a couple of weeks ago. Yes, i'm quite excited about that! I've always been more fond of the Neighborhood Markets rather than the large Walmart stores and now I have one close to me. Yay! I know, it's those little things in life. Thanks to Walmart, the entire parking lot has now been repaved and all the lines have been freshly painted. They even redid the curbs, shrubs, etc., so now it's esthetically pleasing. Thank you, Walmart. I'm not sure how long the run-down Dollar General will last now that it has Walmart to compete with literally right next door. We shall see. Oh, and there's also a Metro PCS and a couple of other small stores here which I've never paid attention to. Check out the photo I added which lists all the stores, if you are interested. What more could you ask for in the heart of an up-and-coming neighborhood like Brooklyn? I live just behind The Brooklyn Station and I find myself here nearly every day. Regency centers owns this shopping plaza and they do a nice job of keeping it maintained and up to date. They are currently paining and doing some stucco work to keep things nice and fresh. There is plenty of parking and although it gets very busy at lunchtime it's pretty easy to maneuver your way through it (just watch for pedestrians!) Rumor has it the JTA Skyway is working on plans to expand its way into the Brooklyn area (first expansion in 25+ years) and I believe this will do wonders for these local businesses when they finally are connected to Downtown & Lavilla.
