    Sloth interactive experience

Came here for a celebration and truly enjoyed our time! The experience is so incredible, being able to safely interact with safari animals. The speed limit is 5mph, essential to follow because animals come very close to the cars and sometimes put their heads inside vehicles. We only ordered one bag of food per person in our squad (this was definitely not enough, I would've ordered a half bag or another bag more per person). The food is what keeps the animals engaged and attracted to you - so if this is the experience you're looking for make sure you keep this in mind. Being able to pet wild animals and feed them was so fun! Few things to note: you can rent a car ($30+) or use your own. Also, there are interactive experiences in the walk around area of the zoo I would recommend participating in if you are an animal lover and if so make sure you do reservations in ADVANCE. These are typically sold out. In summary, although the location is a little out the way, I'd definitely come back for the uniqueness of the experience.

Jharnari gave me a kiss on the lips. It was lip to lip, thank goodness!

We did the bus tour today. Jack was our guide and was awesome, funny, and very knowledgeable. He was a lot fun and kept all of us laughing! Tons of animals and all were hungry. It was a very fun day!

Pine Mountain version of Lion Country Safari I grew up visiting Lion Country Safari in Florida. This was a place where you could drive your car through the enclosure with wild animals. You did not feed them but it put you really close to the animals. We were visiting Callaway Gardens and decided to see what else is in the area. This is one of them. It is really a hidden gem for the area. It is fairly easy to get to and has plenty of parking. They have a small gift shop and a small zoo with several animals in enclosures to include big cats. If you feel adventurous you can buy a bag of food and drive into the large enclosure and feed teh larger animals. You have a choice of driving through the enclosure in your own car or renting a vehicle from the company. We drove our own car but, in hindsight, may rent their car on the next visit since some of the animals peck or scratch your car aggressively to get you to give them food that they know most cars who open windows have. We drove through, at time almost at a standstill from animals that lay down in front of the car hoping to get us to put food out. When you did, they move out. It is a large enclosure and took us about 15-25 minutes to drive the loop. It was a lot of fun and interesting to feed the animals but be ready to have them stick their heads totally into your car and slobber all over you. If you have kids or love animals, I would definitely recommend doing the drive through and supporting this park.

We had a wonderful time! It was a very busy day, but the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the drive-through Safari park where the animals roam free and enjoy the peaceful property. Hats off to this organization - a wonderful experience!

We had the best time. The animals came right up and put their faces right in. There was slobbering all over but no car damage. We will be coming back

There is so much false advertising. I wanted to see a crappybara, but instead got met with a crappyostrich. The cars were okay, but some AC would be nice. There is also way too many dumb deers. We need more variety, case in point, crappybaras.

Wild Animal Safari provided an exhilarating and budget-friendly adrenaline rush experience, allowing visitors to touch animals and explore the vast wilderness. However, it's crucial to exercise caution when handling them or using your own vehicle.

If you live in Georgia and haven't visited the Wild Animal Safari in Pine Mountain, GA. This is your sign to go. We had an unforgettable time here. I purchased my tickets in advance and choose to rent one of their vehicles. We arrived and hour early and walked around the walk-about. We checked in and feed the kids and waited for our car to be ready. As we drove through the park, we encountered bisons, emus, zebras, and many more. The highlight of the trip was watching my kids face light up when one of the animals walked over to be feed. Some things I recommend: - use the restroom before your drive - bring water - Rent their vehicles *** - wear gloves to avoid slobber *** - bring clorox wipes to wipe down the chairs and inside of the rental cars before getting inside *** - a camera to capture all the memories

This place is a blast. Was 100 better and lasted longer than I could have ever imagined. It took us about 75 minutes to get through the park and a vehicle that we rented from them which is what I would suggest for anyone going. Buy your tickets on Groupon and they are quite a bit cheaper. So many animals to see and touch if you choose to do so. Buy the reusable bag full of food because you will need it.

Overall, it was a nice outing. I took my kids there a few weeks ago. I was SOOOOO happy I could drive my own car, because those busses and vans looked dirty and HOTTTT (since they didn't have windows)! Lots of deer and bison; limited giraffes. My kids were scared to death of the ostrich that came to our window! I wish we'd bought more good though. Whatever you do.....don't buy the tshirts! I bought a L for me. After 2 washes, its now a S! $24 wasted! And such a cute design! Can't say I'll go back...but, one less thing off my Atlanta-to-do list!

Me and my two teenagers visited this safari July 27, 2022 on our way to Atlanta. I purchased 3 tickets online and 2 large bags of food ($5 each), my total was around $111. Check-in was fast even thought they have a large field trip with small kids there the day we went. The workers provided us a pamphlet and advised us to not feed three animals because they bite (zebra, camel and and some type of bird. All were located inside the pamphlet so be sure to read it. She also asked if we wanted to drive our own car, ride the bus or rent a vehicle for $30. I decided to drive my own car. Once inside the safari, it took about an hour to complete since we were behind a bus carrying kids (which was no problem). The animals were friendly and none scratched or damaged my car. The only animal that jumped on my door was a the Ram (which explains why Aries are crazy...I'm an Aries btw hehe). It can be a little scary passing the larger animals with horns but I just waited until they moved off the road. The grounds were well kept and the animals seemed like they were happy. After the drive-thru safari, we visited the walkabout which is right outside of the safari and included in the admission price. The walkabout is like a mini zoo that had a tigers, a bear, a reptile exhibit and other animals. Definitely checkout the walkabout before leaving. Overall, my kids and I enjoyed ourselves. It was a different experience and until I can make it to Africa to visit one, the one in Pine Mountain will do.

A Family Hit! We had a blast exploring the wide variety of animals. The price was totally reasonable, and driving through the safari with my family was a highlight. Letting the kids feed the animals was a super cool experience - they absolutely loved it. We're definitely planning a return trip!

Very nice activity for the family to do. It was not many people and the buses were running around the clock so we didn't have to wait long.

Ask the Community - Wild Animal Safari

Is there dog kennels available in the Safari?

Hi Candice. Yes, we do have dog kennels at the Pine Mountain Safari, Wild Animal Safari. Check in at the ticket building. Hope you have a great visit. www.animalsafari.com.

How ethical is this place? Meaning were the animals healthy, treated well, in nice living conditions, etc.

Seems like it. In the walkabout, each animal had a shaded area so they can hide from the sun. Some even had air conditioned room for them to go inside. They all had little play areas in their cages as well. As far as the actual safari, the animals… Read more

How much is the food for the animals?

In the administration area, they do sell food (mostly fast food), but it was crowded, we didn't buy food from them. However, you can bring your own food and eat in the resting area as well.

Can you rent a van the day of or do you have to rent in advance?

The day of. They don't take reservations for renting the van.

Did anyone that drove their car actually get damage to it? I see a lot of people said rent the van because they did in case of damage. But I did not see a review where there was damage to a personal vehicle.

I didn't drive my car but you don't have to rent a van. There is also a free shuttle bus that takes you through the park. It's the perfect height to feed all the animals. I think you would enjoy it more if you didn't have to drive because you have… Read more

We were lucky to have a harvest fair that was going on when we visited. We decided to see if a place we had visited before was open since it was during the government shutdown. The building was not open but the surrounding parts of it are accessible to the public. The Warm Springs Fish Hatchery is a quiet and peaceful place that feels a bit frozen in time but is still well worth a visit. You can simply stroll around the various ponds and see fish moving through the water while birds gather nearby. The wooden walkway, though showing its age, adds a rustic charm as it is positioned under trees and over a pond filled with fish, giving visitors a close-up look at the hatchery's work. Informational signs along the concrete pond on the north side and along the walkway provide details about the fish and the history of the hatchery, making the visit both relaxing and educational. We visited years ago and found that it still has that same quiet appeal--a reminder of a time when places like this focused more on nature than on presentation. It's a good stop if you're in the area and want to enjoy an easy unhurried walk, learn something about fish conservation, and take in the sounds and sights of the outdoors.

Nice fish to look at here in small ponds. There is a small exhibit inside the building also.read more

I was fortunate to find a code so admission was free but I had pay to feed the animals which was reasonably priced. However with little ones we ran through those tokens so fast because they were overly excited once they realized they could feed the fish ducks and goat. The goats are where most of our time was spent lol. You can pay $20 or 10 tokens to hold animals in different locations. There's a gift shop in the back which I was thankful it was tucked away and not having to walk through it while leaving so tantrums were avoided. Like other reviews yes it's fairly warm but I just figured it's to keep the animals comfortable and I dealt with it, it didn't make or break my experience just bring some water with you. Also yes the smell as soon as you walk in punches you in your nose but you go nose blind after awhile. Every staff member from the front desk to those walking around has awesome customer service interacting with My kids and I and explaining what they were doing with the animals. The smell coming from the farm animals really just hits you right in the face when you enter. I wore a cardigan over a tank top and was sweating. There's so many people and very little air conditioning. Yikes. You can smell everyone's body odor. I purchased my tickets online and received my wrist bands. We also bought 15 tokens for about $32 so my kids can interact with the animals. It's cheaper to buy from the token machines inside. Save your money, don't get tokens at all. The amount of animal feed you get is very little. I'm talking about 1 tsp size. Like 2 pebbles for the farm animals, but I understand why they do this. The animals are getting feed all day long. Our first stop was to feed the catfishes. When I say there is a lot of people. There was A LOT of people. I feel like the SeaQuest was really understaffed. Parents were allowing their kids to run around in the turtle inclosure. There was no staff in sight. Poor thing was getting chased by kids. Same thing for the iguana. The only animal interaction my kids enjoyed was the parakeets. It was 1 token per person and you spend about 2-5 mins inside. I would not come back and do not recommend.
