Office Receptionist, Elm has been with the group since my changing to mpk old office. He's super welcoming, and efficient. He really makes the office feel like anyone's local office. I've been to other dentist offices, trying to find better deals to services before. It's difficult to find good dentist out there!! And one who cares to educate and better my dental life each time. So I've stuck with this group ever since. Dentist Kelly has empathy and understands the struggle of chronic illnesses of autoimmunity. So I trust she'll be proactive in looking out for my mouth health and such. She's such a great teacher!! She explains a lot, and helps take you through steps. She's verbal and has such a delightful cheery personality. Free parking. Lots of parking with access to new electrical vehicle charging equipment too!

Sometimes one of them is here and the other one isn't, which is why I see two different docs. They both take the time to listen to you, aren't afraid to make referrals to different specialists, requests for the tests you need, and etc.. I appreciate that I can get appointments with them within the week or next week from when I call. There has been several times where I needed to meet with my doctors asap due to sinus infections and lower back pain. My previous place, I always get discouraged from calling them because all I kept getting was "Call urgent care" and "There are no appointments until 5 months from now". It was ridiculous. Anyway, I also like this spot because the parking is easy whether you park in the lot or on the street. There's several bathrooms within the facilities you can use. The back of the office has a phlebotomist who can draw your blood. My mom sees another doctor, Dr. John Stewart, on the premise and likes him. My friend who is another healthcare provider sees Sonya PA-C and is very good. They have a portal where you can ask non urgent questions . They will send your results to labs, and referrals to you through your portal. I overall like Stewart Medical Group and will continue coming here. The only downside is that they don't open weekends, but they open until 6pm.

One night when my dad felt extreme sick, I called Doctor at 2am and without any hesitation at all he offered his help and visited my house (we live very close by). I became a patient at The Buddhist Tzu Chi Medical Center a few years back when I lost my…read moreinsurance. I looked around for "low cost clinics" and was happy to stumble onto Tzu Chi where I could speak to a physician for a $40 flat fee and I could also get full panel blood work for ~$20. They also have dental and acupuncture services, but I have never used those. I was shocked when I first met Dr. Stephen Denq. He is the first doctor I've ever encountered who was not in a rush or trying to push pills on me to get me out the door. Dr. Denq took extensive time to explain to me the different medical conditions I was experiencing, possible alternative explanations, and a cogent medical treatment strategy. He also shared with me that having a 40" waist is a predictor of heart disease and diabetes. He then explained that he shares this information with all of his patients but unfortunately very few of them actually listen and come back for their next check up having lost weight. He asked me what kind of patient I would be. That was it! Even though I had been obese for four decades, this is the one medical conversation that changed my life. I took his "challenge" very seriously and I began my health/fitness transformation right then and there. The first 20 lbs I lost were by switching to a 100% plant-based diet (not his recommendation per se, but after extensive research, I realized this is the best diet for me), Since meat and cheese have 5X the calories of plant-based foods, I was able to eat the same exact amount while still dropping my caloric intake by 80%. I went back three months later and Dr. Denq was very pleased with my progress. I shared with him that I had plateaued in my weight loss and he suggested I had mastered the diet aspect, now I should strive to increase my exercise regimen. I then joined adult gymnastics (which I am addicted to) and lost another 15 lbs. I went for my quarterly blood work and exam and again Dr. Denq was very excited about my new healthy lifestyle. I told him I wanted to still reach higher level of fitness and he then shared that the human body gets used to the exercise regimen it becomes accustomed to. He suggested I change up my gymnastics work out or take on a second sport/activity. Realizing that successful gymnasts (children and adults) are strong and lean people, I joined a second gym that focuses on High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) where I lost my last 15 lbs. In total, I lost 50 lbs in almost two years in BIG part due to Dr. Denq's honest conversations with me. In conclusion, this is a great "low cost clinic." Even though I have insurance now, I am still a patient of Dr. Denq at The Buddhist Tzu Chi Medical Center. I even donate to their nonprofit because I believe in the charitable work they're engaging in. Note: While I love this place, I believe in being completely transparent. One downside to this clinic is that a lot of the staff/volunteers speak with a heavy Chinese accent. Dr. Denq does not, so we communicate perfectly, but when the clinic calls to remind you of an appointment or you call to make/change an appointment, communication can be a tad challenging. Oh well, that's a small price to pay for world class medical treatment at extremely affordable prices.

I had told the MA, I have spotting that is BARELY visible, so the MA told me to tell Liu, so I did. She walked with such an unwelcoming aura, and she said "you're bleeding?" I said "yes but i don't think it's anything". She typed on her computer AND LEFT. NO goodbyes. NO heads-up that shes not doing what I allotted my time for. I just heard her in the hallway talk to the scheduler saying "she's done". NO professionalism at all. I brushed off the first time that she acted like that on my other appointments. But I HAD TO SAY IT. She is the worst NP. She's the type of doctor who DOES NOT listen and DOES NOT CARE. Don't even bother scheduling with her, she's the worst. It's gotten to a point I'd prefer a man to do my pap smear than that woman. CHRISTINE LIU, YOU'RE THE WORST.

A week later, someone from their office called me and asked me to come in so i can discuss my blood results with a doctor. They also gave me the option to do this over the phone and SURPRISE!!!! THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME ANOTHER COPAY!!!! At my old PCP, they did not charge me a second copay for discussing my results. if you don't want to be nickeled and dimed for everything, then i suggest you look for another doctor's office. But i would say the doctor's here are actually very nice. They do listen to your concerns and i did not feel rushed during my appointment.

They are all so helpful and easy to work with and open to listening to all of your concerns, and they will address it by running the labs or diagnostics needed to address those concerns. This is something I really love and respect a lot about their facility because there are a lot of other facilities out there that brush off patient concerns as "just worried" and then don't order any follow up labs or referrals for those patient concerns, but here they will listen to your concerns and treat the patients concerns with respect and follow up on it. On top of that it is a breeze to get an appointment here and the out-of-insurance pay or insurance copay are all very reasonable and affordable compared to big facilities that take weeks or months to get seen that charge an arm and a leg in comparison. Yesterday I went back again for an appointment and once again Anthony was awesome and super helpful and Jenna was so patient with all of my questions and concerns and I loved that she had no hesitation in looking further into or addressing all of them (ie lab requests, referrals, prescriptions, etc).
