(We provided contact info a month before the appt.)Her receptionist told me this is standard for all dentists--in my 62 yrs experience, it isn't. She recommended an extraction that another dentist said may not be necessary. Add to this that the assistant didn't appear to be trained and had to be instructed by the dentist on every procedure, it was not a good experience. My mother will never go back, and I cancelled my appointment. Spend your money elsewhere.

Scheduling is flexible as they're open a bit later on weekdays and on Saturdays as well. The hygienist I had was terrific, Kathy herself was in and out of the appointment but gave me advice and information for a longstanding teeth/jaw issue that I'd never heard of before. I'm not originally from the area so finding a trustworthy dentist who cared about me as a patient but also wasn't going to suggest unnecessary and costly fixes was important, and I've definitely found that! I had to track him down as he no longer was associated with any offices near me. So I called, and explained EXACTLY what I needed to his office representative. We actually went into DETAIL, as I asked can I be measured and the finished product be sent to my house? She ASSURED me this would not be a problem. Go in for appointed, doctor was GREAT, answered questions, did a basic exam. Provided me other information, all while he was extremely rushed by the BIG CARLE BIG MONEY corporation. He explained that the specific service I needed was not offered there, and he did provide me the name of a podiatrist in my area. I should have listened to my wife who though I was nuts to drive that far, but when you get a good mechanic or plumber or DOCTOR, my experience is stick with them. Bill was not small, insurance paid 90%. I got a bill for a little over $100. I opened a dispute with Carle, explained everything, said I would like that amount forgiven since I didn't get the service the phone rep had again, ASSURED me there would be no problem getting. It was placed under review, a fancy way of saying in 30-60 days we will tell you to pound sand. Sure enough about 40 days later I got a call, DENIED. So I paid the bill, you can't fight City Hall, or BIG Business, especially the evil warlords of the Medical conglomerates. But my advice, record ALL interactions on the phone with Carle phone reps, and then get a good lawyer when they bill you and do not deliver agree upon services. Normally I would never advise lawyering up, they are a whole other problem. But just as you should not take a knife to a gunfight, you should not try to stand up to Darth Carle on your own. He said he wouldn't do that procedure without also doing a breast lift. He claimed it would be painless and I could go out to dinner the same night. He also claimed that the implants could stay in for over 20yrs. He insisted on silicone and said it was perfectly safe. All were red flags. I thought he'd give me an idea of implant size but I was left alone in a room with implant inserts to try on. I wanted input because I didn't know how big would be too big with the lift. All he had said is you'll regret not going big and then left. It seems like a bigger implant could cause stress on the lift stitches. Then the sales lady came in with paperwork insisting that I sign the contract. That's when I gave up and left. I'm so glad I did, this is not the doctor I want when making a big decision. I never saw him again or heard from his office.

I went in for a breast augmentation consultation, and from the jump Dr. Kurley gave off bad vibes; stereotypically arrogant, rude, cocky air about him. Condescending, and wouldn't let me ask questions. He also freaked out in the middle of the consult and asked me if I had a hidden recording device...all of this and I still ended up letting him do surgery on me. Right before going in for surgery, I explained to him that I was concerned the implants were not the right volume for me; he disregarded my concern and more or less said he knows better than me, and I woke up depressed and extremely disappointed. I started crying to the nurse, who then brought Dr. Kurley back in, who sat in front of me and belittled me and told me I was wrong for feeling upset, and then started rattling off his credentials, almost bragging to me about what an amazing Dr he is. All the while I am still waking up from the anesthesia, horrified, and asked the nurse (whom I later discovered is Dr Kurley's WIFE), to have him leave the room. He also made several comments about how it is women's fault for not being better patients and coming back to his practice to "fix issues." This was hands down the worst outcome/experience possible for me. I wanted to have this done right the first time, now I'm going to have to pay more money to have a better Dr do it again, not to mention have to go under anesthesia and through surgery AGAIN. P.S. I was texting my boyfriend the whole time describing each creepy room I entered so they would know where to find me if something happened...the office was by far the weirdest, creepiest office and so unprofessional. It looked like a room you'd take the SATs in in the '90s.
