I've always had a good experience going and enjoy going there to donate. Today one of the managers was rude and accusatory. I had hugged my fiancé before coming in and I didn't know some of the make up had rubbed off onto my arm. The manager said she didn't believe me because she was still getting make up off after touching my arm. She never asked why there was makeup on my arm, she just said it was not legal to alter the arm at all and was going to defer me from coming back. I could even understand this if there was a bruise underneath the make up but there was none and even after explaining she said she didn't believe me. She ended up deferring for two weeks. I understand she has a job to do but she acted like she didn't want to listen and basically said I was lying. I'll definitely go back in two weeks but this definitely soured the experience especially when right now I counting on this money for groceries. This is the only bad experience I've had but the attitude of this manager was a little over the top. read more

Anyone with any sense will NOT go to this plasma center, the staff is rude, the machines don't half work, my wife was hooked up and her blood drained straight on the floor because they didn't have her hooked up right, the ones that do the vitals will call they're friends out of line to get in front of others, this place doesn't give a damn, neither does the head company, complaints reported to them are ignored. read more

They finished getting new machines in and sent an email blast out touting how the new machines are faster, cutting down on wait times. Well, faster machines don't mean much when you don't have the staff to operate them. The line on a Friday morning is insane, and yet they have hardly any staff here. Tons of empty beds waiting for someone, while lines of people wrap out the door. As for the advertised faster machines, it was only marginally faster at best. I had to pump harder than on the old machines, which just means I'm doing the work, and then the wait time for a staff to help when you're finished is that much more waiting. If there was another place close to my kids' school I'd go there without hesitation, but this will have to do. read more

Don't care about your experience only care about taking your blood. With in 2 minutes my donation went left. I noticed my arm was swelling really bad I told a worker there who tried to call the supervisors who was sitting in the middle of the floor having a conversation they looked at the lady and ignored her and she got the attention three different times I literally had to scream across the floor for them to come and check and see that my arm was swelling really bad. Then ask me could they stick my other one which I totally refused because the same thing occurred to me a couple of months prior and nobody asked me to be restuck. I come very often and when I see people go through the same experiences I have I never seen nobody be asked to get restock after they're already having a traumatizing experience. But somehow I get deferred for 2 weeks for absolutely nothing. read more

I've never had to go through such a headache to be able to donate plasma. When I went for my initial visit as a new donor, they were pretty busy so I was more than happy to wait knowing that I would have to do the new donor physical and other necessary paperwork. However, upon having already received my compensation card and ready to get my vitals checked, I was told that since I was on 3 or more prescriptions for the same diagnosis that I would not be allowed to donate. I was confused, as none of my prescriptions are on the list of medications that would affect your eligibility to donate. So I was told that I would need a letter from my provider if any of my medications were to change. I've donated plasma in the past, within the last month at another company, and I have NEVER received such push back about being able to donate, especially after having already completed the majority of the new donor processes and procedures. This information is nowhere to be found on the CSL website or anywhere else for that matter. It doesn't make any sense that the number of prescriptions you are on for one diagnosis should effect your eligibility to donate, especially if those medications aren't regularly taken -- for example, I am on a monthly injection for migraines, a medication to take for onset of migraine, and a daily migraine preventative medication. Therefore, I'm unable to donate due to being on 3 medications for the same diagnosis? How does that make any sense? Why make this process harder than it needs to be? Especially when honest people are just trying to make a difference by donating their plasma and you have people literally smoking and getting high outside before coming in to donate but I can't?? Nice. I was told to bring a letter from my doctor if my medications changed which I did and I am no longer on 3+ medications for the same diagnosis but they STILL are deferring me and will NOT let me donate and aren't even giving me a reason since they can't use the "you're on too many medications for the same diagnosis" excuse anymore. It's been over a MONTH since I started this process of trying to become a new donor at this facility. At this point, it's not even worth it. I'll drive to another city and go somewhere else before I try to come back here again. read more

This company is a crook. So they gave me 15000 points on February 3 then took 10000 back on the 4. When I called and complained about it. All they did is credit half back saying that it is there policy that if you don't donate in a 30 day time frame to take your points back. The points is how you get extra cash from all the people you bring in and times you donate. They would not budge on this. Your points should never disappear and the customer service guy tried yelling over me to get his point across as if he was explaining to a child and was correct. read more

I wasn't expecting it to be as nice asa it was either, this place was very clean the staff was so nice and welcoming. They know what they are doing and their health and safety procedures (coming from someone who is very familiar with HIPPA Guidelines.,sanitation guidelines and patient care.) I was very impressed. I was nervous going in due to the needle but the staff was very comforting and so patient. now I will go every 48-72 hrs to donate to help sick people but on top of it you are compensated for your donation. I've been coming here for a few months now and always have a pleasant experience. Today, however, my right arm was giving the Phlebotomists trouble so an awesome lady named Leila (I hope I spelled that correctly ) came over and decided to try my left arm. Many have attempted this in the past and haven't been able to get the vein because it rolls. Until now. Let me tell you, I am SO beyond impressed with the skill Leila possesses (not to take away, at all, from the other amazing people who work there) that I wanted to come here and sing her praises. I never felt a thing and she got it on the first try. I really do enjoy coming here, I always share a lot of laughs with the other people who are donating and the employees as well. Within 15 Mimi Yates from walking in the door, and standing in a line of 4 people no one came to the desk to check anyone in. Once someone arrived it was because the phone was consistently ringing. He answered the phone as if it was the worst thing in the world and rolled his eyes repeatedly. (It's your job). As another women who seemed to be running the place proceeded to answer the phone, did the same thing. So it shows how that training looks like. As she began to finally check people it she seemed rather annoyed and the gentleman walked away. She took particular interest and was only nice to certain people and I for sure was not one of them. So as the whole process is immediately starting off at a great start, it proceeded to waiting a ridiculous amount of time just to be told to go sit at a computer. After that, I saw people moving around talking and chatting but not doing anything to move people along. They seem to be very nice to each other but not to people that come in to donate. Some people do come in for the extra benefit of money which is great. But this is definitely not a thanked donation. Pretty upsetting to see a company that works so hard to make donations have the rudest staff I have ever experienced. read more

I went up to the front desk, and they told me to walk down to the sonar line. I waited... when I finally got to see someone in a cubical, and she told me to go to the front desk. I waited. Then, I was asked for an additional proof of residence. Okay, understandable. I gave my social security card, license, and 2 proofs of residency, then told to take a seat in the waiting area to be seen. As I was there, a lady came in, and immediately complained. She got immediate service. Fine, okay. I finally get called to go into the office 90 minutes after I came in the door. The lady tells me my name on my license doesn't match my name on my social security card. I looked, and saw my mother's maiden name on my license. I explained to her how it's always been my name. The same lady had just confirmed it at the front desk!!! She told me she didn't make the rules. I just left. read more

Unbelievable. Things here have gotten worse from the techs' cold bedside manner to the faulty machines. Oh, but it's my fault my donation was so low, even though I did everything that was asked of me and even though my plasma got foamy and sort of blocked the flow in the tube. Last week, I nearly passed out from dizziness once I was out of bed, and all the techs just stared at me instead of asking if I was okay. One of them even laughed at me! Today NOBODY checked on me when I was bleeding profusely and no one would let me leave even though the process had been stopped by the techs. I had to yell for someone to remove the needle and clean me up, and even THAT took forever! The same tech would go to a different person, point to me and say, "Can you go take care of that?" And nobody would do it, even after I asked several times. I was there for two hours with a non-working machine, a needle in my now-numb arm and blood gushing every-motherfucking-where. What the hell is wrong with you people?! This is my body, my fluids and you left me in danger?! Also thank you for treating it all with zero sense of urgency.
