I had switched to this center last year as they take appointments, and my previous center did not,…read moreand often had an hour or two backlog. While they sometimes have staffing issues, like most companies these days, they are usually pretty good about getting you in and out in a reasonable time. I am one who is fortunate to have good veins, so the staff usually has no trouble finding one for a good draw. I can't say I've observed them having too much trouble with other clients, either, unlike the center I used to go to in California. Staff is pretty friendly, in general, though some in the pre-screen area could be a little more vocal. Their pay scheme is about the same as other centers, on a monthly basis, but is really only worth it if you go twice a week. The first time in a week is only $20, and the second is $80 currently (with occasional bonuses). Hardly worth it if you are only able to go once a week. CSL's monthly schedule $40-40-40-40-50-50-50-50(or whatever it is now) is much more equitable for the weekly donor, but I prefer the schedule of Biomat in California I went to which was $35 for the first donation of the month, increasing $5 each time, with occasional $20 bonuses for two in a week, donating on a holiday, etc. Still a great tax-exempt extra income, plus helping out those in need.

I spoke with the manger TINA HUNT about the mistake and the customer service was subpar blaming the fact that the company has a "new system" I am extremely disappointed in the service provided. Located in the same shopping center as Luisa's and Beyond Amazing…read moreDonuts, nice to see a new space that is still convenient to me to donate whole blood or platelets. The plus about this new office is that there are windows to see out (to the parking lot). The previous donor room was an interior room so the only things to really look at were the screens that everyone had to decide to watch the same thing. Looks like each platelet station has their own entertainment. Staffers are still great and friendly, some of them are adjusting to the new office and where all the supplies are kept. The layout of the office is not as spread out, but is a more efficient space- less walking between the history/interview rooms and the donor room. Check in is easy- make an appointment online or on site...further check in questions are done on iPads and you are ready to go. Vitals are taken in the history room and then you go donate. Always nice to know the blood is kept local and you are always thanked for donation. It gets used in the area and helps the community.
