My parts were delayed a long time from Hyundai Canada. At first Lou's did not communicate delays and did not phone back when promised. However, I spoke to Stephen and said I expected a call back when promised even if it was bad news. After that they were very good about communication. One of those businesses you never really want to deal with, after all it means you have been in an accident and/or have damage to your ride. Unfortunately, I have had occasion to need body repairs (to my vehicles) twice this year (one work, one personal) and went to Lou's both times. Cars were fixed professionally, on time and with zero hassle. They have a huge fleet of free loaners (make sure your insurer will cover the insurance while using loaner) that are available if you book with your appointment and they are in Inglewood so close for drop off/pick up if you work in the Core. read more

A poor experience. I took my car to Lou's to get a quote. They asked if I had an appointment. I did not. They said to make an appointment, and that the first available was in three days. Then they asked if I was going through insurance. I said I was. They asked the company. I told them (it is a Major insurer across Canada). They said they would not deal with them and unless I paid cash they would not even do a quote. I've certainly had better experiences, to say the least. This was a wasted trip. read more

I was dreading having to take my car into a body repair shop, and Lou's was the second place I visited to get a repair quote. Jerry, who assessed the damage on my car did a throurough job, and explained everything that could possibly need to be fixed, as well as things I didn't know about my car. He took his time, and even took pictures of the damage to my vehicle, all of which the first place I went to, did not do. He was polite and friendly, as was the other staff, and he had my quote to me hours later. Although it was higher then the other place, I feel it was a more accurate accessment. I dropped my car off, and the whole process was completely painless. Every one I dealt with was friendly and answered all of my questions. I didn't get the impression that this establishment is shady at all (again like th eother place) but a honestly run business, and would definitely come back to Lou's if I needed any work done again - at the same time, I hope it's not needed! read more

Excellent service from start to finish. They got me in pretty quick and fixed up a pretty nasty scratch on my truck (thanks Calgary random). I guess someone randomly hit my car and I didn't notice it in the storm. They fixed this also as a courtesy. After being hit with hail last year (Thanks again Calgary) I can honestly say these guys were a million times better. They even offered to come pick me up. I'd definitely recommend them. I was admittedly nervous to go with them at first but a bit more relieved after seeing a GTR out front. The work on it is flawless. read more

Love them! 2nd time I've used Lou's. They did make a mistake in my paperwork handlng, but they owned it. Paperwork filed in Feb/work completed in May. Worth it? Yes! I took my car into Lou's after an accident. The car was determined to be a write-off and Lou's was asked to swap the winter/summer tires on the car. They told me they had done the swap. I found out today, about six months later when I need the winter tires, that Lou's had not done the swap, that the summer tires are still in storage and the winter tires are gone. Taking my car to Lou's cost me a few thousand dollars. I would never recommend them. read more

Curious to know for starters, how they managed to put 30kms on my truck? Slow. Slow slow. No accidents. Just road paint. 3 wks to removed road paint. First time they called at 2.5 wks to pick up and it still had white spots all over it. And swerls in my paint from a dry cloth and haze. They said they'd take care of it, why I'm I here to pick up then when it's not even finished. I refused it. 2 days later I'd say 99% of the paint spots were gone. But they painted over paint chips on my fender flare. So now I have grooves in fresh paint. "They werent required to fix chips" so they didn't bother. what's the point of painting again then? It just looks like crap in the light now. Also fender flare is cracked at the bottom. $2500 for a sloppy job. Useless tits. Hope they enjoy my insurance money. Didn't even bat an eye when I picked up for the second time and wasn't happy, the owner said take my card and come back Monday. No thanks. I chose them because I read good reviews, obviously I have no luck cause the newbies must of been the ones working on my new truck. I will never request their services again. Took my car in to get the full right side repainted due to an accident. They did an amazing job on my Subaru STI and got the dark grey color to match perfectly. It looked brand new and even better than the original paint job. Jerry who what in charge of my claim made sure I was happy 100% of the way through and explained everything in detail. I was happy with the service and work that I ended up getting 3M on the front of my car and a wax job and they did a great job and gave me a deal. The car looks great. The work is great and Jerry and the front staff were extremely helpful. I stopped going to my old detailer and started going here from now on. Highly recommended. read more

Good Service Delivery. Showed up one day on their doorstep after being lightly rear-ended a few days earlier. Although they were not able to conduct an estimate right away, they had me booked me in straightaway the very next day. Good impression from the front office; Dorothy was welcoming, helpful, courteous and friendly to myself as well as other clients, perhaps she may have missed her calling in the foreign diplomatic core. I was quite fortunate enough to have Bob, a seasoned pro, examine our vehicle; he was able to determine quite accurately, on first take, the extent of the damage, thankfully none to the frame. Even so, I had requested and was granted a follow-up appointment to have our vehicle put up on the hoist for a closer look; I just needed to be sure. Lou's Auto Body is on our insurer's list of recommended facilities and I felt it advisable to exercise due diligence. In fact of the several repair facilities on the list that our insurer provided, Lou's was one of the select few that we personally qualified locally given their good reputation (several favourable online reviews among a variety of sources and an impressive BBB rating with good reviews and zero complaints in 3 yrs) also having been in business for 48+ years. Given that they are recommended by our insurer, the insurer will state that they can/will guarantee the work done. However, those of us who have been around the block know full well that the guarantee that counts the most is that which is provided by the repair facility. In this case, a check mark in Lou's favour is their National Lifetime Warranty. Despite all this, we remain somewhat a skeptic. From the very start, Lou's pursued acquiring a claim number from me even at the preliminary estimate stage so they could set up an assignment, to which I politely declined; I'd like to be the gatekeeper on our vehicle's repairs when it come's to preliminary estimates, evaluating them first before proceeding. Because of this, I guess I am perhaps a little biased, and maybe a bit 'old fashioned' (younger than my name suggests)because I tend to place a premium on the rapport the facility has with the customer, as opposed to the rapport the facility seeks to establish with the insurer. Sorta not like putting the cart before the horse. As such, I've found that the non-chain / independent facilities can reliably deliver given their desire to carefully safeguard their reputation, and work towards their customer's complete satisfaction. Even so, on the points that seem to matter, I am confident that Lou's can deliver and deliver well on a good repair. Just the same, that rapport established through listening to the customer can be key; I'd like to think that I can rely on them first and foremost as their customer, rather than having them place a premium on their relationship with my insurer. read more
