In addition to the consultation, we provided our cabinet requirement in an email along with concept pictures. Estimate never came and Ted was a bit slow and elusive with responses to our follow up emails and requested that we come in to the showroom to review the design. We ended scheduling the apt, took time off from work, and drove 30 min to the showroom. When we arrived at the showroom, the door was open but no one was there to meet us (little odd). We walked through the showroom looking for someone and ending up finding someone in one of the back offices. She told us that she does not work at the showroom or for ted; she was just using the office (little odd). We waited 15 min and drove home 30 min. I sent him an email to let him know the we came but he was a no show and it was rude for him to make an apt but not be there. He did respond to our email after the fact to let us know that he was running late and that we should have waited.

The laundry room is somewhere that I wouldn't mind spending time in. There is room for sorting,cleaning,folding and ironing. The bathroom is also a mud room coming off of the pool. Installation Trauma…read more I was extremely disappointed by the service provided by Carpet One Floor and Home located in Jacksonville Beach. First, the installers were more than one hour late. Second, the lead installer wanted me to sign the completed work order before the work was completed. The door was not hung, the furniture was returned, and I had not inspected the installation. After calling the salesperson, the installers begrudgingly hung the door and returned the furniture. The lead installer stated, "I've done my good deed for the day." I was confused because my installation included furniture removal. After the installers left, I noticed dirty handprints left on my doors which I had to clean. Thirdly, upon their arrival I asked the installers to wear a mask. I could overhear one installer say "Are we still doing that?" Fourth, when I tried to vacuum the rug it was extremely difficult to push my vacuum over the carpet and the vacuum basket was full of carpet shedding. When I called the sales person she indicated that was normal. When I read the warranty pamphlet I found that this carpet required a specific vacuum due to its soft strands. A regular vacuum could damage the strands. Finally, the manager left a voice message apologizing for being late, failing to address the behavior of the installers. When I phoned the sales manager to discuss this matter and my experience, he never returned my phone call.

We left our contact information and scheduled an appointment for measurement and free estimate. Pete (owner) and Denise (designer) arrived to check out our kitchen and discuss options. He took all the needed measurements and a week or so later we had an estimate. The estimate was right in line with what we were expecting for the remodel. We got a few estimates but I really liked the personalities of Pete and his employees and liked that it was a local business who did everything. I wouldn't need to play contractor with Corbella. It took two meetings to finalize the design and choose the cabinets, floors, fixtures, etc. paperwork was signed and a deposit made. Construction is never perfect - we had to choose a new faucet. Certain cabinets were too large so the change delayed our start by a week. But all in all, the process was good. In 2.5 weeks, the kitchen was demolished and back to a fully working state. Through various stages, the workers tried their best to minimize dust by putting up plastic sheeting. They always swept and vacuumed at the end of the day. They tried their best and it helped but construction will always have dust. Some changes were made as we went along: a vent had to be moved, a light fixture needed to change, the tile guy made a mistake but it was quickly fixed once I saw it. Normal stuff. Denise and Pete periodically check in on progress. The project manager would call me each evening to tell me who was coming and when to expect them the next day. One change was made that gave us a $600 credit - I didn't know the change would have even resulted in less labor charges but Pete and his crew are honest. This was a full gut job - appliances were moved, walls and soffits were removed, wiring and water lines were moved. But at the end of our remodel, we had a beautiful brand new kitchen. The house feels so much more open and it truly looks like a magazine. I absolutely love our finished kitchen. We're hoping to use Corbella again once we can remodel a bathroom and I have recommended them to a number of friends.
