Caleb is extremely…read moreprofessional, listens attentively to the individual needs and goals of the student and parent, and goes above and beyond to ensure the success of his students. He was recommended to me by a parent whom he successfully tutored with great results as well. I was especially impressed by him when there was a practice test hiccup, was super responsive in resolving the issue, and took it upon himself to do a personal makeup for my son. I highly recommend Caleb as a 5-star tutor for test prep. Overall, our experience with AJ was very positive, but there is significant room for improvement for practice test sessions. My son took two practice tests that were not well-organized and frustrated him because he had prepared for them only to feel like his time was wasted. I provided direct feedback to AJ because I was surprised that that this happened twice in a row to my son. I expected a premium tutoring service like AJ to be able to run practice test sessions routinely and smoothly because when they don't it causes additional stress and time on the students and parents. I hope AJ takes this as constructive feedback for the future.

Over time, she has become far more than a tutor -- she's a steady, trusted presence who understands how to meet a student where they are and help them move forward with confidence. What makes DeLey truly special is her deep care and emotional intelligence. She doesn't just teach; she listens, encourages, and adjusts her approach to fit each moment. She's patient when things are hard, celebrates small wins, and helps students rediscover motivation from within. My daughter has learned to set realistic goals, build discipline, and take ownership of her learning -- all under DeLey's calm and thoughtful guidance. It's rare to find someone both so reliable and so genuinely invested in a student's growth. DeLey combines academic skill with heart, and that combination has had a lasting impact on my daughter's confidence and progress. I deeply trust her judgment and am so grateful for her continued support through the years.

I am a recent Wellesley College graduate who was looking for a tutor…read moreto tighten up my physical science section on the MCAT. The first time I met with Clark, I was impressed that he took time to understand my strengths and weaknesses before delving into subjects I wanted to work on. He asked me questions about subjects I thought I knew well only to find room for improvement. During our meetings, he focussed on how I learn and pushed me to understand details I previously neglected. He had the intuition to know whether I truly understood the material. Most importantly, he pushed to see if I had the knowledge required to answer MCAT style questions. His quizzing ensured that I could quickly answer questions I struggled with in the past. Not only was Clark well-tuned to the MCAT and the details one must know to get a good score, but he had numerous resources that were extremely helpful. He has very extensive and very helpful notes on practically every subject in physics and chemistry. These notes were of particular use when I was out of town working an internship in Chicago. While I was out of town, I still wanted to work with Clark. He was flexible and agreed to tutor me over Skype. We used google documents to draw diagrams in order to discuss problems. After working with Clark for two months, I already sense an improvement, not only in how much I understand the material we have reviewed, but also on the way I approach the typical MCAT-type problem. When I recently took the MCAT, I felt prepared. (I raised my score by *FOUR* points!) I cannot stress how important it is to feel prepared on your test day. Having a tutor like Clark can make a world of difference when you sit down to take the test and you realize you know the answers to the questions you are being tested on.

Both instructors are highly qualified.. Both instructors always motivated and challenged him focusing on keeping his interest on their sessions with him - my Son has been coding on his own with the work they assign him throughout the week which is a big plus.. Furthermore, the customer service is phenomenal, professional and responds to my questions and concerns if any arraise promptly ( which is very important to me) .. That said, I would like to personally thank Ashley in Customer service who always goes above and beyond with helping me.. The customer service and highly qualified instructor's that are provided by Juni are the reason I would not hesitate to sign my kids to this great company. Thank you Juni!

During that time, they still charged us $275.00 for the month of August! Yet we had ZERO lessons that month. Every time i ask when we will get a tutor, i get told that they can't locate any. What sort of company is this? When we first joined JUNI, a year ago, we were assigned a tutor fairly quickly. But then we dropped him because he would cancel at the last minute about 1 out of every 4 classes. That was ridiculous! The only reason i went back to JUNI in August was because my son enjoys their course. However. it's definitely time for us to find another source of coding classes. BUYER BEWARE

Breakout Mentors - Talented mentors studying CS at Stanford

This business has so much potential but falls short on several counts:…read more 1. The mentors aren't kept up to date, even after this is pointed out to them. We were excited to read several of the bios, particularly of Stanford students, only to be told none of them are available, they used to work at Breakout Mentors but no longer do. There seems to be a bit of bait and switch, since other mentors that were offered to us were not Stanford students. 2. We finally agreed to accept a different mentor and agreed and reconfirmed the day and time with the mentor multiple times. At the appointed day and time our son was visibly excited and couldn't wait to get started. Then we waited. And waited. I could see disappointment creep into my son's eyes. We encouraged our son to email the mentor directly, which he did, but no answer. Then I emailed the mentor. No answer. Finally, about half an hour after the session was supposed to begin, we called the mentor and he answered, sounding as though he just woke up. He did get online quickly, but the late start meant that we had to cancel our son's next appointment and take a loss on that lesson. 3. We asked for a partial refund of this lesson, since even though the full time was given it started half an hour late (and probably would have been even later had we not called) but unbelievably, Breakout Mentors' response was "as a small business, we aren't as capable of making price adjustments for mistakes." 4. I run a business as well, and I would never dream of charging clients for consultation time that I was late to, even if I was able to go later, it's so highly unprofessional and disrespectful of the client's time. 5. It's also highly ironic that a business with "mentor" in the name wouldn't take more responsibility for ALL aspects of mentorship, including planning ahead, taking personal accountability, and being on time. We're working with our son to impress upon him never to be even one minute late for a lesson, so it's pretty poor role modeling for his mentor to have to be called in half an hour late. Until Breakout Mentors and its mentors can take more personal accountability for delivering on their promises we can't recommend them.

As his skills progressed, he had to move to different teachers, but all of them were great and fun to work with, each bringing new area of expertise. Brian was exceptionally brilliant in finding the best tutors for my son based not only on the skills level but also on the project that my son had in mind. We prefer two lessons a week schedule, that way the projects they are working on progress with greater speed and there is no need to spend a valuable lesson time to go over the things they learned last time. I would recommend this company to anyone with a kid interested in programming.
