The owner KB bragged that his loads are always, "stacked high and tight!" I provided rope, tie downs, plastic wrap and blankets none of which he or his employee used. The 26 foot ABF trailer I rented has bars on both sides, every two feet to secure the load and he was obviously too lazy to utilize. When opening the trailer in Florida the entire load had shifted, every piece of furniture was scratched and/or broken, multiple boxes were overturned, and it took 5 hours to safely unload the trailer. The movers on this end said they had NEVER seen such a poorly packed trailer. I have contacted K&A Movers multiple times, sent photos of just some of my damaged goods and KB has refused to return my calls. So, after nearly a month of silence from this company, I have decided to involve MD consumer affairs and today am filing a complaint with the Maryland State Attorney General.

Daniel Petra owns 49% of the company; his wife owns 51%. Mr. Petra states on his website "All team members undergo comprehensive background checks and are fully bonded". Following the theft I asked Mr. Petra if his employees were bonded; his reply was that the company was insured but the employees were not bonded. I agree with Johana and TJ P. Daniel sounds like a great guy at the beginning of the process, told me he would be on site at my home to ensure that all went well, and was a no-show. No follow-up from him - he didn't contact me to check on how things went. When I told him about the theft, his response was basically "that's terrible - let me know if I can do anything". Yes, Mr. Petra, you can reimburse me for having to purchase a new vehicle, and you can vette your employees to ensure that you aren't hiring criminals! Petra Moving Company should not be in business. Two Guys and a Truck sent three guys, who all five expertly move the piano out of my house. Our walls had just been painted and we have hardwood floors. I was very impressed with their professionalism and communication to each other. They expertly navigated this large piano out of the main level and down two sets of concrete steps.
