I was especially impressed on the most recent project that included mounting of a digital photo frame. Carlos simply "wasn't having it" to mount the frame with the electrical cord showing! He expertly drilled holes and snaked the cord through the inside of the wall and back out just above the electrical outlet for an amazingly clean look. He had the finishing caps to cover the entry and exit holes too. Carlos and the crew also took a very personal interest in mounting my career memorabilia (22 plaques and awards!) beautifully in my home office. And they are undaunted by "oddball" stuff like mounting clips for a tapestry in my media room to cover unsightly electrical panels. Their excellence starts with the manager Marc who gathers a LOT of information from you (pictures, model numbers, installation videos, etc.) so that the crew arrives fully prepared. Not only are their prices very competitive, but Flatpack offers a flat RATE quote so that the crew stays until the job is completed. I'm very pleased to have found this amazing company.

Once you reach out to them with the specifications of your project they will quickly respond with an estimate and even pictures of similar projects they've done. I reached out on a Monday and was able to have my wall be installed on Saturday. Now that's service! Trey was/is the 'real deal'; very professional! ...worth every dollar! When he set up his tables, tools and camera to video the install I knew I was in good hands! He was helped by Khadir and another young man. They communicated well and made a great team. They arrived early (who does that? Contractors are rarely on time). He explained everything along the way, to include the parts that were missing (luckily it was only a few screws that he had in his tool box), how to work the bed, and which mattress would be the best for that bed (based on the instructions given). I am so relieved to have this project complete. I have no doubt about it being installed correctly. Great job. I'll definitely call them again if I need similar service. By the way, they also followed up with a detail list of what was missing (by part number/name) and where to find it in the manual. That made it easy for me to get replacement parts from the manufacturer. Great job Flatpack!

They packed everything very fast and efficiently. We moved a 1 bedroom apartment with den to a 3 bedroom apartment. After a 3 hour drive, they were able to offload everything once again in a timely manner. Their pricing was very competitive, and everyone was very nice and friendly. They moved everything from my studio to my new place in under three hours. It was a local move with only about 10 to 15 minutes of driving, but they were still extremely fast and efficient. Nothing was broken, although I did transport the more fragile items myself to be extra careful. The only issue was that they left several long, noticeable scuff marks on the wall in my narrow hallway. That was unfortunate, but it felt fairly minor in the grand scheme of the move. Overall, the movers were professional, efficient, and easy to communicate with. I would still recommend them, but I would suggest keeping an eye on the walls in tighter spaces.

I had started the job myself but got an anchor screw stuck and figured I should have a pro step in so I didn't wreck my new walls. All the supplies were here, placed where they needed to be, holes were measured and marked for custom made rods and drapes. He charges by the hour and moves very, very slow. He didn't have his own step ladder or anchor screws. In the first hour, he managed to put in 3 screws in holes that had already been marked. He claimed he "needed to remeasure" and that's why it took so long, but he used the holes that I had already marked. He also said it was too hard to do with custom cut rods. He also said it wasn't his fault because I had an anchor screw stuck in the wall already, which was the whole reason I hired him. This is what pros do: they come prepared, know the required materials and techniques, and advise the customer on the best way to proceed. I knew we needed to cut it off when he asked me how to use an anchor screw. He didn't know if you needed to pre-drill or not for a very basic and common anchor. I cannot imagine a professional handyman not knowing that. He used a level to stare at the pre-marked holes for what seemed like an eternity, just eating up time. 3 screws = $200. Seems like a nice enough man, but handyman may not be the profession for him, and that's giving him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't just trying to take advantage of someone he assumed was too naive too know how long the job should take. He became very defensive, making excuses when I said we'd need to end the job at one hour. Im sure judging by other less than 5 star reviews here (that I really wish I'd have taken the time to read) he will post a very defensive response here as well. Please just don't take a job you don't have the required expertise to complete, and I don't want to hear defensive excuses when I'm still out $200 for almost no work completed.

The customers have a mission just like the business does which is to get the job done. Edit: Yes, I did say that. I used Troy several years ago and had a decent experience, which is why I hired him again…read more Unfortunately, this time was entirely different. The plan for my move changed multiple times, often with little notice. He split the move across two days, which forced me to take additional time off work. The afternoon before the move, he changed the timing again, requiring me to reschedule meetings with contractors, make alternate arrangements for my dog, and adjust loading dock reservations at both locations. He did not care how these changes impacted me, only that they made his job more efficient. I also paid extra for packing services, and the kitchen was packed so haphazardly that several boxes were falling apart from being overfilled. He didn't pack the area under the sink at all. On top of that, he left behind a number of items that were clearly part of the move--including my trash can, step stool, and a container holding several blankets--without any notice or explanation. I ended up making two additional trips to retrieve items I had explicitly hired him to move. He presents himself as an expert, but his arrogance makes him difficult to work with. If you just want your stuff moved and don't care how it happens, he'll probably get the job done. But if you need to plan around a busy schedule, value communication, or expect basic attention to detail and follow-through, I'd look elsewhere.
