I attempted to do it myself over the last week and didn't quite get it right. The whole process took him less than an hour (I think?) and he also gave me some EXTREMELY helpful tips on avoiding future issues with our Samsung washer. I had no idea I needed to clean off the glass door on front, as it can lead to tears. We also ran through a diagnostic, which showed me the washer was otherwise operating correctly. He was professional and helpful throughout all. I hope that if we need help that we'll get him again!

    Absolutely terrible experience with Sharper Service Solutions…read more LG sent them out for a warranty issue on our refrigerator because it has been giving off a strong chemical smell that is getting into our food and ice. Before calling for service, we already replaced the air filter, replaced the water filter, emptied the fridge, and cleaned everything thoroughly. The smell still wouldn't go away. The technician, John, showed up, opened the refrigerator, immediately acknowledged the smell, and even said he had smelled it before on other units. But then basically shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't know what caused it. His solution? Empty and clean the refrigerator again, unplug it, and send them pictures. That was it. John came across as condescending, dismissive, and completely uninterested in actually troubleshooting the issue. After a few minutes he just left without doing anything helpful. I called the company afterward hoping to get somewhere with customer service, but they wouldn't help because the technician hadn't filed his report yet. I made it very clear that John will not be welcome back in our home. The rep from Sharper then recommended that I request a different service company through LG. Out of curiosity I checked their BBB reviews afterward and it was basically wall-to-wall 1-star reviews, which honestly matched our experience perfectly. At this point, I honestly question why LG continues using this company for warranty service calls. When a technician openly admits he has encountered the same smell before, offers no real troubleshooting, and leaves without attempting to diagnose the problem, something is seriously wrong with the level of service being provided. This experience wasted our time, left the issue unresolved, and gave us zero confidence that Sharper Service Solutions has any interest in actually helping customers.
