They asked each of us why we'd were taking the class and genuinely tried to tailor the experience and instructions to meet as many people's requests and needs as possible which I greatly appreciated. They went above and beyond to make us feel special and took time to answer all of our food and kitchen related questions, even if it didn't relate to sushi. We have tried making sushi at home before but always felt like something was missing or we would struggle with certain aspects of the process. However, many of the people in the course had never made sushi before so this was a great class for beginners of all skill levels! Besides the sushi rice & tempura shrimp tails being pre made and some of the sauce ingredients being pre-portioned out, we made all of the other filling ingredients! We started by learning the best way to julienne a cucumber for sushi rolls & then how to slice up an avocado. Once that was done, we made a marinade for each of our fresh tuna steaks and were able to sear them to our liking! Once all of our ingredients were prepped, we rolled two different sushi rolls, one with shrimp & one with tuna and both were so tasty. What I truly loved was that everyone had their own ingredients to make their own two rolls. This allowed each of us to not only have an abundance of food at the end, but we also got to test our own skills out and learn from hands on experience. I can't wait to bring these new skills to life in my own kitchen. We also got a miso soup at the end which was amazing. This was money well spent and I'm looking forward to more classes in the future!

What I love most is how interactive everything is. Each room is private to your group (up to 5 players), so you're always playing with the people you came with, no awkward mixing with strangers. It makes it perfect for families, friends, or even a team outing with coworkers. The Mega Grid is hands-down my favorite and the main reason I keep coming back. It's fast-paced, challenging, and ridiculously fun.If you're looking for something different that gets you moving and laughing, this is the spot.

We arrived about 30 minutes early and still felt rushed. The mall directions led us to a first kiosk, but Activate is actually on the third floor, so that added some confusion. When we arrived, there was a fairly long line. I had pre-registered online using a gift card, but at check-in they initially said I owed the full amount. I had to ask them to locate and apply the gift card I had already purchased. Once that was sorted out, each person in our group had to sign in separately, which takes a few minutes per person. They did provide a free locker, which was great. I highly recommend putting all jackets and hoodies in there - you will get hot fast. Once signed in, the instructions are very brief, but easy enough to figure out as you go. We were a group of six and hoped to play together, but had to split into two groups. That ended up being fine because we competed against each other, which was actually fun. There are about 10 rooms, and each room offers multiple game options. Every game earns you points, and there's a large scoreboard showing rankings, which adds a fun competitive element. We went on a busy day, so we did have short waits for some games, but usually only a couple of minutes. One downside: I wish there were a water fountain inside the gaming area. You can't bring water bottles in, and while there is a fountain by the lockers, our one-hour session flew by and we barely had time to step out. Overall, we had a great time and would absolutely do it again. Tips if you go: 1. Arrive at least 30 minutes early to find it and check in. 2. Wear shorts, a T-shirt and running shoes. 3. Drink water before you start. Fun, fast-paced, and a great workout!

The puzzles make you think, but the 9 and 11 year olds were still able to help out and didn't feel like it was too hard for them. The puzzles were very hands on, which was very fun. The Montessori kid in me always loves that. The room itself was so cool with a bunch of secrets and secret places hidden around! Really felt like you were in a wizard's toward! Cool lighting, walls, and ceiling. AND a staircase in the room which was awesome! We finished in under an hour (which we were kind of shocked by, because we thought we were taking a long time). Overall, a very fun small group activity!

The room was so well done with creative and interactive mysteries. It truly felt like we were in a magical room, uncovering hidden clues and surprises. It was so exciting to uncover clues to get closer to completing our mission. The best part is that it was all Harry Potter themed which made it extra magical! We had 1 hr to complete and we escaped in the nick of time! Booking was easy and done online. It was easy to find parking nearby. The staff are super friendly and guide you through everything you need to know. I absolutely loved my first escape room experience! The whole group couldn't get over how much fun we had and already thinking about our next one! Highly recommend!

It's super fun but also very active, so be ready to move. Definitely feels like a workout in the best way. There are about ten different rooms and each one has a different challenge, ranging from brain teasers to full-on physical games. I love that there are different levels so it works for all ages and fitness levels. It's great whether you're competitive or just in it for a laugh. The only small downside is that each room only allows up to five people, and we were a group of eight. We had to split into two groups and mostly stuck with our original teams since switching around isn't always practical. If one team is already inside a room, the others have to wait and it eats into your play time. It would be awesome if they could make that part a bit smoother, but honestly it didn't take away from how fun everything else was. We're already planning to keep going back. I'd honestly sign up for a monthly membership if they had one. Way more fun than the gym and such a good way to hang out with friends while staying active.

My family likes this location because it doesn't get as busy so you don't have to wait too long for each of the rooms, there are basketball games, color jumping, trivia, running, hiding, and the time flies quickly! You get warm, sweaty, and hot. There are lockers you can tap in and out and water fountains but you do get warm. They have locations all over the North America-- the United States and I think Canada. The space itself is minimal, with a small lobby to wait before entering your room! You are greeted by a game master who takes you to your room, sets you up, and makes sure you knew all the rules. Our game master was Mariam and she was very friendly. I wouldn't recommend a group larger than 8 for this specific room, as it was a bit tight and it's hard for that many people to stay engaged in the room's puzzles. The room wasn't as soundproof as I would have liked, as you could sometimes hear the other rooms in the facility which took you out of the story line. The puzzles were appropriately challenging, and the room was well set up. While the room might sound like a horror film, nothing about it was actually scary, so you can assure any hesitant guests that it won't terrify them! Overall, a really solid escape room location if you're into that sort of thing! Looking forward to returning to do another room soon!

It was well thought out and the puzzles/clues were diverse that success relied on all of our strengths. The first puzzle took us the longest but once the first lock was open it went rather quickly, especially when we were able to break apart the various tasks. While our room was a single room, there were plenty of things to solve. I have been in large, multi room escape rooms, and single rooms like this one and they both have their own benefits. For an hour long endeavor (we completed it in just over 43 minutes), it was perfect. It's really hard to share without sharing spoilers ... Our host was fantastic. At one point he did interject that only one person needed to do a task instead of all of us at the same time (think the game twister, haha)... but he gave very little commentary throughout, nor did we ask for any hints. It's also nice being in the mall as it provides opportunity to make a day of it... escape room for an hour, some shopping, and some food,
