I really liked shopping there especially when they were a 24-hr store, because the employees were pretty laid back, and I could put my headphones on, and dance around the store, going through every aisle, looking for the best bargains, which I always managed to find! Especially in the meat department. I almost don't want to tell you that because it's MY favorite place to find something of better quality to grill at a price that I can afford, thanks to the markdowns they put on older cuts of meat. As long as you cook it properly, it's just as good as the fresher steaks, roasts, or chops. If you Aren't going to: Freeze it til you Are going to cook it. Hey, when I can get a nice, thick pair of ribeyes for under $30, I'm going to snatch them up and hide them in the freezer for a special evening! No guilt at all. My other fun stop at that location is their clearance area, which is directly at the back center of the store, where it looks like there "might" be a mall entrance during day hours; but of course I wouldn't know that. To me it's a mostly empty hallway, usually with a couple of skids of something waiting to get put somewhere, and a few shelves with past their prime candies, cereals, lotions, potions, games, trinkets, and previous holiday celebration hoopla. MOST of it is marked down to very reasonable prices...but not ALL of it: so Beware! When you get to the checkout, ASK the cashier to check the prices for you before you go hog-wild and buy every last box of Cap'n Crunch with Marshmallows which you loaded into your cart, only to find it's a meager 10% off. Just got back and looked at my receipt. The soda marked 4.49 on the shelve was rung up at 8.99. This is not the first time. Anyway, it amounted to about a 10.00 difference, so I went back to complain. The young woman said that I had to buy four in order to get that price. Maybe I did not see that or maybe it was the very small print. Nevertheless - Last time at this store. More than once the price charged did not match the shelf price. Fool me once, shame on you. There is a huge difference between individual Cub locations. This one is owned by Jerry's Foods; not sure if that makes a difference, but it's miles ahead of others in the area like Little Canada, which is where we used to go because it was closest to the house. We haven't been back to Little Canada Cub in a year. Store is clean every time I've been there. Deli counter service is great. I've never had a problem with produce freshness at this location. Very good assortment of weird ingredients I like that I thought I would never find at a Cub, like lavash, mock duck, many different kinds of ginger beer, thai chiles, fresh lemongrass, Squid brand fish sauce, pugliese bread loaves, etc. Fried chicken absolutely slams. Donuts are acceptable although they don't always have the ones I like stocked. Pharmacy section seems a bit small but I don't really use it except for occasional supplements. Deli meat selection is good; only thing I couldn't get here for Italian subs was capicola, but the only place for that in the area is Morelli's. I know people like to blast Cub on prices but tbh I don't see the problem. It's higher than Aldi, but Aldi in the Saint Paul area never seems to have anything I need. Last time I tried them they had 2 out of 20 things on my list; one of the rare ingredients they didn't stock was salt. If you like Aldi there's one right next door. You can go to Aldi to save money, then Cub to pick up everything you couldn't find. As for prices vs Target and Hy-Vee, it's a mixed bag. Cub is usually cheaper on packaged commodities like soda, maybe higher on some produce, but on balance it's usually a wash. Based on product assortment, quality, and service I would go Roseville Cub, then Hy-Vee, then way after that any other Cub or Aldi. If you want to only save money, try Ha Tien or Dragon Starfor the best produce prices, then maybe Aldi after those. read more

This former Rainbow Foods with the creative design and country style footprint has the baskets outside in a shelter, Aldi style, (but you don't need a quarter)! Otherwise the store is laid out consistent with other Cubs but is a little larger and I found with more variety and stocked items than my neighborhood Cub at The Quarry in N.E. I may have to return to buying groceries in Roseville due to a civil problem at the Quarry Cub. Being accosted in the parking lot! We'll let that just sit there. There is a liquor store attached and of course a more than spacious parking lot. read more

Most Cubs are the same but I had to leave a review for this Cub because of the super friendly staff plus it's usually not super busy. They also do a great job restocking! I like how they also have a good selection of natural/organic aisle, making it easy to find gluten free options and such for when I'm making sure dishes for friends. Sometimes there is only 1-2 cashiers but the self check out all usually all open and my preferred way to check out. read more

I love the off the beaten path location. I love that the first thing on the left is bright green iceberg lettuce. Lots of good selections of Fanta sodas and cheap. the tutti frutti isn't too sweet, either. Finding distilled water can be hit or miss and at a cheap price, check that too. Also check that sale items, especially holiday knock downs come through on the receipt. I love how I can play the lottery and buy 15 items or less on one check out. Don't bother trying to get customer service at the Cub pharmacy. They get two customers in line and they have to close the drive up down. Has been closed 5 times in 2023 and 2024 is starting out strong with a mysterious problem making the drive up window unusable. Never has a problem when the senior pharmacist is working. Cub in Roseville provides such a refreshing Cub experience, just by the layout that is simple and easy to navigate. The bakery is unlike any Cub I've ever visited with beautifully decorated treats, and the option to order wedding cakes. Though we were followed by a Cub Staff Member briefly throughout the store (shopping while brown) it still doesn't deter me from leaving a great review with my honest opinion, not using that as my leading experience. We literally purchased 11 items, using a basket and my hands were full with a 16.5 lb bag of Puppy Chow. It's a little frustrating because you always question "if I were white, would you have followed me?" And I'll never be white, so I'll never know. "Did someone suspect me of doing something or are you doing this all on your own?" Another question I'll never know the answer to so I just do my best not to let it bother me. Unfortunately, this is my experience as a brown woman and every scenario doesn't infuriate me like it used to. Though I've never had it happen (noticably) at this location. I used my Cub App to pull up coupons and found one for $3 off an all natural detergent, which was awesome! I love using my Cub App to find deals. I recommend finding the deals at home, adding the coupons to your membership card and then shopping in store to save time. Also when you use the app and add the coupon to your list, when you check out you just use your associated phone number and the coupons will automatically apply. Cub is one of my favorite grocery stores and I love this location. read more

I always (95% of the time) give a retailer etc a second chance, and returned to this Cub twice since recently. BIG change‼ So so glad for this is visually such a beautiful building and great location. It was CLEAN well organized once again. Shelves full and impeccable. THIS week, today, they have come out with some spectacular prices for early shopping -- 3 Hagen Daz for $10?! Unheard of. List includes Ben and Jerry's. And my favorite sale of soda 4 @ $10-- addicted to Diet soda, try to keep it to 2-3 max a day.... Good time to stock up for xmas new years. Runing there tomorrow! read more

Close by convince, late hours, clean store and all nice staff. Bigger produce, meat and fresh deli selection like home made potato salad, coleslaw ect. than Target. Fresh Beef products are MUCH better than Target's factory processed vacuum tray meats especially hamburger and steaks. Milk, cheese, yogurt CUB is FINE but can skip high priced Dry goods... I head straight for Dollar Tree for chips, Mango juice, frozen spring rolls, spices, ALL SOAPs, paper towels ect. Everything is $1.00 saving as much as $2.00 or more @ item at Dollar Tree. Then anything I'm missing they don't have like cereal, brand name sauces, freezer items, Lystering, tooth brushes, bathroom stuff, T P and hair products, it's TARGET TIME with an extra 5% savings with my Target RED CARD.! read more

On my Cub scale, this gets the top mark. This Cub is clean, the store is well maintained, displays are kept stocked and the quality of the selection in both the Produce and Meat departments is reliable. CUB foods get a big thumbs down from me. Bought items that were on sale, two for one, etc. But only about half the sale items were credited because about 1/2 of them needed a coupon or Cub card. Swore I would never come back to this store after my last coupon fiasco.... But needed water and toilet paper. Grabbed what I needed and went to the self check out to avoid the surely cashiers. Sure enough the toilet paper rings up $3.00 more than the shelf price!!! I should have walked out then to avoid the abuse. The women in charge of the self check area came over to assist and insisted it was a coupon item. I intentionally don't buy coupon items to avoid this situation and explained that to her .... She got in my face and said "I'm Sooooooorry" mocking me. Clearly the managerial problems in this store are affecting the customers AND the staff.
