Stopped here just to grab a bottle of hot sauce. I've never shopped at this chain of grocery stores before so I was pleasantly surprised at how much they had to offer. Prices did seem a bit more than other stores but not too bad for the convenience. I'd say my issue is with the check out. They have 5-6 cashier lanes and 4 self checkouts. Only 1 cashier available + a bagger. The bagger was having a conversation with the customer and carried on a bit long and couldn't seem to talk & bag at the same time. I ended up going over to self checkout which also took awhile but when I finally got up to one I realized it's because the system is just extremely slow. I was able to wait and checkout before they were done helping that same 1 customer. I get being friendly and providing customer service but it's to a point you need to considerate that a line is forming and people are waiting & some with perishables. I also don't care to converse about the items i'm buying so the bagger being so chatty would have gave me anxiety. read more

Bought a 16 once T-bone steak for $13 for 4th July dinner at Eden Prairie store. I should have known better, because I have yet to get a good piece of meat there. This is an "after" picture of the steak. Of the 16 oz, only about 1 oz had edible meat...the rest was medium rare shoe leather, hence the masticated flotsam left on my plate in he picture. I'm sure they would say I cooked it wrong, but I worked my way thru college as an assistant chef at a famous NYC steak house so I know how to cook meat. Will never buy any meat there again. Besides the meat, the store is fine but a bit over priced as others have said, and the staff is very nice, and I will continue to shop from time to time for convenience as its only 5 minutes away from home. This is my first review of anything ever on line, but as a steak lover and connoisseur, I had to give my feedback. I will NEVER shop at Jerry's again. NEVER! Their Instacart service dropped off eight bags of stuff. It was a nightmare! She left them in the lobby of the building and never offered to bring them up to my condo. I had foot surgery this week and I'm not supposed to be walking. But, this person left the whole order downstairs, so I had to go down and carry them upstairs by myself. Now Im in a lot of pain, and going to the hospital. I've always liked Jerry's, but NEVER again. They chose Instacart, and Im choosing BYERLYS, Just looked at the groceries. The frozen stuff is completely thawed and Im missing 2 things. read more

I visit this store rarely.. but it's always well maintained... everything seems to be arranged in order... they have good parking space available in the front... this store has an instore Deli... a sushi corner and some great baked goods... There's a Starbucks inside the store... I feel the groceries are a bit pricey compared to other supermarkets... read more

They are tucked away off frontage road with ample parking; plants for sale outside. The store has great ambience; fresh produce; compact but full of everything you need Prices are higher than normal and I am sure due to added services like bagging groceries; taking to your car or outside pick up Starbucks inside; clean and well payed out; great cakes and pastries I go for the deli where they have my fav cold salads Lately deli crew seem unresponsive with many people back there but no one stepping up quickly to help you It's like they are there but are destined to another task and not helping the waiting customers. Best grocery store, hands down! The bakery is always stocked with tasty treats, the meat and produce departments both contain a wide array of options, and they have a great floral department where you can order helium balloons - a rare find in a supermarket! We always go to the Edina location but I recently needed balloons and groceries in the Eden Prairie area - this location is nice, too! read more

I was really looking forward to the remodel as the store really needed it. That being said, the store is nice and bright and really opened up the space. However their prices are much higher than before, they stopped carrying brands and products that one would expect in the store. The bakery is alright, but the selection could be better as well as checking products. For example, when I went to get a cake for my mother's birthday on Friday, there were barely any cakes and ones they had were smushed in various ways, or snowmen missing noses or eyes the Santa's were the same. I ended up settling on a large cake with a poinsettia on it, however no one was there to help or offer to write anything on the cake. I tried to get the attention of one of the staff but she saw me and turned to other way. Needless to say I got creative at home. The prices, poor customer service and lack of product I'll go to Cub or Whole Foods. Update, ended up having to go there as I had a family dinner and forgot ice cream toppings; ie hot fudge and butterscotch. It was impossible to find so I asked a woman at the counter "Diana" I believe was her name. She first asked me if I meant baking, I said no ice cream toppings; hot fudge and butterscotch. She then put on this fake laugh going "Well imagine that it's not a priority on my list but for you it obviously is. Haha not my first choice." The Manager was standing right there as she continued the fake laughing, he offered to show me where. I followed with her snorting in the background to another customer: "Oh wow well for her it's a priority but for me that's never on my list! Haha! Some people!" I felt myself get flush. Yes I'm plus size, but I work out and can bench over 100lbs, and I wore a heavy coat because of the cold. Never again!!! read more

Jerry's Foods is the closest grocery store to my house. I feel torn about the place. Is it a fancy store like Lunds? Or is it a value villiage like Cub? It is hard for me to say... I can't figure out their culture. It is a great stop to get what you need... They have everything from produce to meat, napkins to bread... The usual. The food I have gotten from there has been average. Fairly good produce. We had donuts from there one day that seemed a little old, as did the buttered garlic bread we bought last night... The prices don't seem to out-do the Cubs and Rainbows of the grocery world. So, I will continue to go because it is close to my house, but I don't think it will ever be my one stop grocery shop. read more

Jerry's has been my grocery mecca since I was a wee little little one. I used to ride my bike here for sweets and spent many a days strolling through the store and the many others it used to be connected to. The strip mall has changed, stores have come and gone, but Jerry's has only gotten better. The produce here is great, they offer hard to find international foods, and the bakery is delightful. This is the closest grocery store to where we live, but we treat it more like a convenience store because it's so pricey. I would never think about getting all of my groceries here. If I need just one or two items, or a Redbox movie, this is the place to go. Two things do stand out for us here and they are the floral and deli departments. The floral department is very small, but the quality of flowers and plants is outstanding! The deli has very good food and we bring home a whole chicken or pasta salad on occassion. I agree with Mandy J's review. I can't figure out the culture there, either, but I feel like they're trying to be upscale because of the look of the store, the prices, and the clientelle. The employees are nice, but a lot of the other customers seem to have their noses in the air. That alone is very off-putting to me. read more

It is close to my house and has all the important elements for a grocer to me: * Fruit and vegetable sections are consistently good and beautiful. * Extremely clean and not crazy price like Byerlys or Lunds. * Very good donut selection to make me fat - for that I am grateful. * They have all the 'GOOD' ice cream that use real cream and SUGAR - for that my wife is grateful = I am EXTREMELY grateful. * They willing to carry the groceries to your car - NO charge - yes, I can be that lazy at times. The deli. Specifically the Hot Grill at Eden Prairie.. Look Jerry's, here is the deal. If you want to offer a grill, the staff working it needs to have that be their first priority. Service is often terrible - because the counter workers do other things - in other areas. Waiting for your food after waiting in line (or at the empty counter) is frustrating. It ain't worth it. I will say the food is decent and reasonably priced. So you get a 2. Fix the service or just keep the hot food bar. read more

I love Jerry's with one exception. I completely agree with the review by M.S. There is no excuse for the bad attitude shown by Maureen at the Service Counter. I mail a lot of packages at Jerry's. My packages are pre-labeled with the postage already paid. All that is necessary is for Maureen to take them from me and put them in the mail bin. She practically snarls at me as she grabs them. I always say thank you and rarely get any response. Yet I have heard her pleasantly greet the person after me. No one else at the Service Counter ever acts this way. I can just as easily mail packages and do my grocery shopping at Byerly's. Everyone at their customer service is nice. read more

Ok so this is a real good grocery store setting with a fresh food grill. Like our HyVee back home. So I have plain waffle, burned hash browns, bacon and 2 eggs medium. All is excellent. The hash browns were barely burned as requested and I should have sent back, but time did not allow. Same for waffle. It needed to be a little more well done. Jerry's is my grocery store of choice. Since their remodel in late 2017, things have gotten even better. They always have fresh fruit and produce. I also loke their large butcher shop, with a great selection of meat and fish. Prices are higher than Cub or Target, but I would expect that. What for sales on meats, poultry and fish. It seems like every week they have different items on sale. I use those sales to stock up, when the prices are really good. read more

We recently moved to Eden Prairie and I was pleased to see there was a Jerry's a mile from our new home. I had been a fan of the Edina store for many years. This time I was in for an unpleasant surprise. The only thing in the EP store that was up to par was the meat. Otherwise, I purchased flowers that fell apart the minute I got home, raspberries that were half rotten, a bag of Halo mandarin oranges that were half spoiled and some stale bakery items. I noticed many things were past the expiration date and others that expired the same day I was going to purchase them. There was never anyone around to answer questions or direct me, never anyone in the bakery to help, and many shelves were out of stock of the items I needed. All I can say is things had better improve after the remodel or I will not be coming back. read more

I really enjoy going to Jerry's. I wish it wasn't so pricey, if it were less spendy I would be there more often. The bakery is amazing...so yummy and fresh! I love the deli counter as well...I often stop there when I don't feel like cooking (especially when it gets really hot in the summer). The cold choices are great as well...I love, love, love the seafood salad. The butcher's case has some great options as well (although, pricey). I don't do my major grocery shopping here as it's just too expensive, but when I need just a few things I will stop here for sure as it's convenient and good. read more

I live close to Jerry's and I have to say they are great. I had a question and went to customer service and they gave me their full attention. They have good prices and have a great selection of brands. They have a great app that helps for just picking up what you want at the store. The employees are very nice and helpful. Do not shop here unless you want to look at ALL expiration dates on meat and veggies to ensure they are not past expiration or expire the day of purchase. Unfortunately I've had multiple experiences with this now, and after reading reviews it appears to be a common problem experienced by others too. read more

The only good department is the Meat department. Do not buy any cut flowers. They wilt and die in 2 days. The bakery used to be great but now is far below average. Stale goods. Poor taste. Items way past expired date are on the shelves in every area. You need to loook at anything you buy to see the dates especially in cold cut meat and dairy. The floors are always dirty. Stock is very limited. Some of the people who work there - well they are not happy and have a real attitude. Many of the fab workers have left. It is terribly disappointing.
